I was thinking perhaps the 'love scene' will be Catherine's last? After she says goodbye to everyone, etc.. she comes home to Vartann in bed. That's what I imagine. Not nessecarily a HOT AND HEAVY scene but something more comforting and touching. A moment between them like you said electra or her saying goodbye to Lindsey. You know there is another fan fic out of this. ;)

It could be her last but do you think that the writers have thought out that far ahead in the season? I mean she will be doing 19 episodes so that would mean that they have planned a scene that could be taking place in april or may. When I first read about it my first thought was that it would probably be in the first few episodes because Marg already knew about it and because the writers have probably laid out about 9 to 10 episodes by now. But that's just my take on it and can be completely off base :).

I think you guys are right. The bedroom scene will be in the earlier part of the season as opposed to the latter. I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I'm hoping it's going to be something more tender and sweet between them. A convo in bed about Lindsey, perhaps he'd bring up Jake? Or about a case as electra said. But it sounds like it's going to be HOT and HEAVY. Perhaps they get interrupted? He could complain that it's always work taking her away, or even a fight? But then they would have to have another scene, you know, to make up! :)

Also, The Panty Sniffer is going to re air on Thursday. A great episode to watch them connect. I think it's one of the better Catherine episodes of the season. All until the last 2 minutes.

Hi new to the thread, just wanted to say glad they got these two characters together, always thought they were well suited after 'viva las vegas' and 'bang,bang'.

I get what you mean Ladyhunter, about being unsure of the 'bed scene', i'd almost prefer to see them doing something domestic like cooking together, going on a run, or even walking down the strip just talking.

When i first saw the spoilers for the season premiere i did wonder whether vartann would be at the funeral and therefore caught up in the explosion (but only be slightly singed :), wouldn't want vartann badly hurt).

Not that I mind that they are in bed, I'm not sure how much I want to see. :eek: Seeing them doing things like talking, cooking (like you mentioned Sinclair),, playing pool ;) , all those things are more suited to them.

Again not like I'm opposed to them in bed, it's just the CSI writers aren't good at giving us true realistic moments between two characters. That's why I'm so apprehensive about it.

Now in Meat Jekyll, when he said he knew why she got up so early that morning, was so hot and it let our imagination take over as to what was going on.. :devil: I'm wondering if something like that would happen again??? But this time they are actually in the bed not necessarily getting it on. :eek:

Oh and I laughed at the 'shaving her legs' comment too. :lol: That probably means that Vartann is going to be at least touching her legs ;) ...

Lol yeah the 'shaving her legs' comment was great.

I noticed Alex Carter is listed on IMDB to be in the first episode. If this is accurate i wonder what kind of scenes he might have.

It'd be interesting to see an interaction between vartann, brass, and catherine :) ....or vartann arresting bieber .

I hope that he is his 'detective' self in this episode. I'm guessing then also that the 'bedroom' scene is going to be in the premiere. HMMM sounds like a lot going on.
I can picture this...
They are in bed, getting 'hot and heavy' and someone's phone goes off. They both get called to the same crime scene.... OOOO wouldn't that be good???

O.K. Vartllows people need a little help here!:lol: Have been watching CSI while doing my work out and watched 5:18 "Spark of Life" which is the first time I have seen the Detective but he was with Sarah. Question: Is this his first episode and B) Has he been on with Cathrine before this episode? and C) when did they start seeming like a couple? Thank you:)

Hi Lori. :D

Vartann's first episode was Grissom vs the Volcano in Season 4. In Spark of Life he was paired with Sara but not as a couple (well since she went on to marry Grissom ;) )
Vartann and Cath's first episode together was Viva Las Vegas in Season 5

He and Catherine started dating in season 10 then became cannon by the finale.
I could be wrong but that's what I'm guessing anyway.
Vartann's character was gone from the show for two years and came back in season 9. Perhaps they started dating then? And we knew about it in season 10? ;)

There is going to be a 'bedroom' scene between the two of them as well. I'm thinking it won't be in the premiere since there is a lot going on. I'm thinking it could be in the second episode, the one with the casino boss (and possible friend of Sam's) that Catherine will see Sam in flashback? I see them (Catherine and Lou) in bed sleeping and Sam comes to her (in a dream or something) after the casino case. Then she wakes up with Vartann next to her. That's how I see the bedroom scene. Again, anyone else?
I'm still not sure how they will do it, but that's how I want to see it.

I have always had a fondness for Cathrine.:) Then I started reading this thread and sawa beau and then I thought hhmmm and as I said I have purchased dvds for when I work out and have been watching them I have ALWAYS loved Grissom and I liked Warrick cant believe they killed him off!:confused:

Just saw the press release for the first episode and I'm so excited that Vartann is in it :D:D. I thought that there was a pretty good chance to have him in the premier but to have it confirmed makes me all giddy. So I hope we get a pretty good Cath and Vartann scene in this one :cool:.

Do you guys think the bed scene in the first episode? I remember someone saying that there was too much going on in the premier to include the bed scene and I tend to agree. However, I'm still hoping we get a nice scene somewhere in there.

I'm hoping the bed scene isn't in the premiere. I was the one who said there is a lot going on during the premiere. I'm hoping it's somewhere else during the season. I'm also assuming it's going to be hot and heavy so it would sort of loose it's effectiveness if it was during the premiere. Right?

I'm going out on a limb and assuming that Vartann is in the premiere to attend the funeral of Officer Clarke. One would also assume he'd be with Catherine. ;)

I would like to see a 'private moment' between them during that scene as opposed to the hot and heavy bed scene. But that's me.

It really makes sense that Vartann is in the premier to attend the funeral. Now I really would like to know how public they'll be about their relationship. I know they won't be all over each other but you know what I mean. Maybe a gesture like putting his hand on her back when walking or something similar. Or if they will simply pretend there's nothing going on. Though I kind of doubt they'll pretend because Cath didn't exactly hide the relationship from Nick.

Their relationship will probably come out next season if it hasn't already. ;) And Nicky did say he was the last to know so perhaps quite a few other people knew that Cath and Vartann were seeing each other. Obviously Sara did, maybe she filled Nicky in? :)
And I think it was Vartann who said in the finale "Now I know why you got up so early" in front of Nicky. I think that was a declaration right there. :)

And I hope the bed scene is sometime else during the season, I'm thinking it's after the casino case and Catherine could see Sam in a flashback while she and Louis are in bed (sleeping or talking or something, not going at it :lol: ) Or the bed scene could be when Lindsey moves out and she's upset and he's comforting her.

I'm intrigued as to how this is going to play out in the premiere considering there seems to be a lot going on.

I can picture vartann being at the funeral so we may see some subtle gesture there. It's also possible that vartann will be helping track down the people responsible for the bombing (thereby appearing for longer than 50 seconds in the episode :)).

I noticed in the latest preview that catherine and nick are involved in a shoot-out, wonder if we'd get a chance to see 'protective vartann' ;).
