I wonder what he would do if he did see Cath hurt.
Obviously he would call for help, but would he rush to her side or play it cool as to not let anyone in on their relationship ?????

I wanted to post this again. He is smiling and so is she.
This is the last time they worked together (unless you count the 'secret affair') but that's not really work ;)

I was thinking about this too...
I wonder if Catherine realizes that Vartann's first name Tony is the same as her half-brother.
I know that he ( the brother) hasn't been mentioned recently but, I'm wondering if Catherine said to Vartann ...
"my brother's name is Tony."


And since Season 8 is right around the corner, I'm hoping that he does make a return sometime
So he and Cath can continue their relationship

Haha, well, not sure my manipulating skills are that great. Still, I haven't found any good pictures of the Mermaid Chair. Would be nice if that movie would ever come out on DVD. I want to see it!

And just to be clear: What? Cath has a brother? Since when? lol, i didn't know this.

because I'm such an 80's girl, I heard this song and thought of them (Catherine and Tony) right away

I was also inspired by edogs fic about them and what would happen afterwards (in the fic ;) )

What about Catherine getting Married again? Of course to Vartann :biggirn:
Since we don't know anything about him, if he's been married, divorced or what, I wonder if he and Catherine would... GET MARRIED ;)

Interesting you mention marriage, since Vartann was so ambigious about it in Iced. I kinda got the impression that something didn't work out for him in the past...or maybe he was just too bashful to admit he had never been able to settle down. All I know is that he looked really uncomfortable.

Getting to married to Cath, however, should be a no brainer for him!

And in Bang Bang when he was talking to the taxi driver about Love and Marriage and Vartann just smiled and nodded at the guy.
To me that was more of a 'what's-he-hiding' sort of thing

I think if they both wanted to, I would love to see them get married

I was just rereading your last post, hhunter and got to thinking how mysterious Vartann really is. (actually inspired some fic material for me, :devil: :D) I think Catherine would be the most perfect person for him to open up to about his life. It's one thing they don't really do with the detectives on CSI (expect Sofia) is really give insight into their characters.

*keeps hoping Vartann might return at least once or twice*

I think Brass is the other Detective that we have seen have more of a personal life on the show. But he is one of the main characters. Vartann is just supporting cast.

But, edog you are right, he is very mysterious and that is somewhat the appeal...
Cath is the perfect person because she is not that judgemental when it comes to someone's personal life.
I don't think he would be all that judgemental about her personal life or her former career.

I watched Bodies in Motion last night

She was funny when he was watching the dancers at the gym and Cath said... "the husband, what about the husband?" To Vartann
That alone makes me think he wouldn't be that judgemental on what she used to do for a living :D

I'm with you edog *here's hoping for at least ONE return to CSI*

OR that Cath mentions his name... THAT would make my day :)
