I'm bumping this because I've been thinking about
secret relationships and stuff. Sort of the way the finale left us [or the rest of the team going....WHAT?]

I wonder how they would feel if they found out about Cath and Vartann.???

Since they don't directly work together I'm sure no one would that put out ???

And I'm sure Cath would appreciate his attention to the things she likes over actually 'fawning' all over her. Putting his hand on her back as he leads her through a doorway is more his style. ;)

Hmm, yeah, not so sure there would be that "shock" value there. Grissom and Sara, yeah, because it looked like for a while that it wasn't going to happen...then it did. And with the whole boss dating his subordinate deal, that's what probably really shocked the team. Not that it was Gris and Sara, but just because of work place hierarchy and junk.

So, if Cath was dating Vartann, not so sure it would elicit the same kind of dumbfounded reaction as when Gris revealed his relationship with Sara.

Yeah, no 'shock' value there :D I'm hoping everyone wouldn't be 'that surprised' either. I have said this before, being human and being attacted to someone is human nature. Being attracted to a hot cop :devil: is all the better ;)

I think Catherine said this to Grissom in Season 1 about having a dopey look on his face when Terry Miller was around, I wonder if Catherine OR Vartann would have the same reaction knowing that either one is around :)

I'll give him the fact that he's hot.. I dunno, I didn't wanna ship CaKe, and I'm opening up to that, but you know my terms dangit, You ship CatNip, I ship this, Deal?

He's got a choice, season 8 or season 2 of Jericho..la la la. Which would he choose. I hope they don't recast him on either one.

Let's hope Vartann does come back for season 8. Catherine and Detective Vartann is a relationship I'd like to see :)

What is your favorite Cath/V scene. I'm not sure if I asked this already but I'm going to again ;)

Viva Las Vegas and the infamous 'viagra' comment comes first I think
Bodies in Motion the whole time they were on screen was good for me. The dance class was my favorite part between the two of them
Bang Bang when they entered the Travel Agency together.

Hmm.. That could almost work, if I wasn't already hounding her to ship CatNip. :)

I don't really have a favorite scene/episode for I have not really watched anything in regards for this ship. Of course I watch Catherine scenes, but the only shippy thing I've done is for Nicky..

Jericho would be cool for Alex too, but I really want to see Vartann back.

And of course having a 'secret affair' with Catherine. Or not-so-secret relationship. :D

I wonder how the hypocracy would go if the team found out about this? I only bring it up do to the ending of the finale. ;)

There might be some level of hypocrisy on Cath's part, as she has stated "dating co-workers never works" to Sara. That might indicate that Catherine would never go there. Notice I said "might".

Technically, Vartann is a detective and not a CSI. They work for the same organization, but not in the same department. I guess it just depends on rules between the departments and what's considered fraternizing and what not. Either way, I believe Vartann/Catherine might be more acceptable, in terms of workplace hierarchy, than Grissom/Sara.

Nearly forgot my fav Cath/Vartann scene. In Bodies in Motion, when Warrick says he got married. I know that wasn't necessarily direct contact between Cath and Vartann, but I can't seem to get rid of that picture of Vartann's grin after hearing the news. It's like he was thinking, "Yay! Now Catherine will only have eyes for me!"

yes, he is a detective and not a CSI. Two different departments, bosses, etc...
so it wouldn't be considered a co-worker. They could see each often, cases, etc..

but then they could compare notes on different cases as well
that's what I think could make the whole relationship work out. They are not working directly together (not even the same job) but their jobs are similar enough to have conversations :)

Bodies in Motion was on the other night. Besides ^^that scene with the garbage guy, I loved the scene at the gym when Catherine and Vartann are watching the class.

She repeats herself a few times..."the husband, what about the husband?" as he is glued on the class.
Somehow I don't think he would be upset to learn that Cath did that for a living 'once upon a time'
