This was the headlines in our daily newspaper on the Sports Page~
U.S. DOMINATING SLOPES
Whistler, British Columbia--Leave it to Bode Miller to bring a little trash talk to Alpine skiing. After his Silver and Andrew Weibrecht's Bronze behind winner Aksel Lund Syindal of Norway in Friday's super G, Miller was asked to explain why American's have been dominating the slpoes with 6 medals throuhg 4 races at these Oylmpics. Miller smiled that here-comes-a-good-one smile of his and began. "Aside from the fact that we're just much better than everybody else".... Can you argue with this guy? with six events still to go the U.S. already has collected it's most Alpine medals at a single Winter Games, topping the five at Sarajevo in 1984. Norway is the only other country with more than one medal so far, thank's entirely to Svindal, who also got a silver in the downhill. Lots more, but to long to write. I'm surprised that the other countries haven't won more especially Canada, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Holland, Finland, Russia and how about Iceland, with all their ice and snow to practice on/in
I loved the ice dancing last night, magical all fantastic, and so talented~

they just did women's downhill skiing next it speedskating
I was so happy Vonn not winning She's great but I think it's great that different ones get the gold: Vonn has one, Riesch has one and now Fr..something has one. I hope we get our one too
Anyways, the olympics start to become a disaster. Ski jumping - our best guy falls on practise and hurts his knee and ankle. I feel so sorrry for Janne, still no personal medal from olympics And Hautamäki - 3rd after 1st round and 2nd round... 104m and 26th. OMFG I say.
Men's pursuit (I think pursuit is stupid word for it) - Three Finns quit before 7,5km, well 4th finished 33rd but it was his only start so yay!
Thank god Angerer was 2nd. And how stupid those men are! They see what are Swedish tactics and no one wants to go to lead (I mean Olson ahead and two others, Hellner [who won eventually] and Södergren slow down the rest of the men)
But what do I see? 3 canadians in top 9 and all four in top 15 Damn they'll be good at relay, if they have another for classic (I think Babikov is good in both)
My only relief in these games are then Norway's men are sucking as well :lol:

I'm from Finland.
I generally are always against those who win most
which means norwegians in skiing, austrian in ski jumping, canada in hockey :lol:
Dutch I like... I think it has something to do with the orange colour and football :lol:
But I never deny when one is wonderful sports(wo)man - such as Vonn, Björgen, Davis etc.
Swedes I don't like no matter what
(it's just Finnish thing) ...except Pärsson perhaps (alpine skier)Oh men's hockey in the morning (my time) - FInland vs. Sweden and we'll so kick ass.
I've missed rest of the speed skating, since there are no Finns (we have only men and they only skate 500m and 1000m) - short track I've missed totally. Curling - ah yes, we've come much down from Torino - our men's team broke off and... still watched how in women's curling China kicked some Danish ass.
Btw, anyone saw latest Simpsons? Lovely story about the matter

so the one time i would actually watch hockey of my own free will, and the game is on msnbc instead of nbc! oh well, i guess now i dont need to stay up until 2 in the morning to watch it. i really hope canada wins, i bet my boyfriend he had to wear a canada tshirt to school tomorrow if usa loses
