Unhappy Lindsay Fans over Kristine Huntley reviews harsh words.

Just curious, does anyone else find it amusing that there are people reviewing the reviewer? At first I was offended by the reviewer and her words, but I thought about it and now I just find this whole argument funny. I realized that the reviewer is completely entitled to her opinions and I moved on with my life. Shocking I know!

*raises hand* I find it very amusing that somehow people just decided to jump all over Kristine, for honestly - no reason, its a difference of opinions people - the world would be so damn boring without different opinions.

*shrug* So what, you dont like the reviews? As Kimmy, and countless other people have said, thats not the boards problems. Thats YOURS as the person who chooses to read them. If you feel Kristine is unfair to Anna/Lindsay in the way she is "always negative" (which - Kristine, its so not true girl! :)), then why continue to read the reviews if they make you heated??

Am I just thinking too hard and trying to understand why people are so upset about someone elses opinion? *shrug*

FrellingBlonde, is this your LJ?

If it is, then are these Battlestar Galactica reviews examples of what your published reviews might be like?

And by any chance, does this LJ post of yours regarding Danny being a 'surly douchebag' who 'cheated' on his 'awesome, supportive girlfriend' with a 'whiny skankbag' have any influence at all on your hatred of Kristine's reviews?

If you go back and look at her previous posts (all 5 of them that were, like Fay said, only about hating Kristine's reviews), in one of them she says "I'm not on a crusade to end negativity about Lindsay. I never even said I liked her. I'm indifferent to her, she's a fictional character." If calling Lindsay an 'awesome, supportive girlfriend' is being indifferent then her definition of that word and my definition are light years apart.

Ugh, Battlestar Galactica - the most pretentious sci-fi show ever. Explains a few things...

In my opinion, this thread is really quite ugly. :(

I love Kristine's reviews, I find them thought provoking, honest and professional. I absolutely respect everyone's right to have their own opinion, and this is not directed at any one in particular, but I do wish that people would at least think about what they are posting before they press the submit reply button. I'm not saying there are right ways or wrong ways to post, each to their own, but it is possible to be more diplomatic.

For anyone who hasn't read it, the Mannerly Art of Disagreement guide, which is linked to in the TalkCSI rules, is really quite interesting. :)

^ Thanks for that link Elsie, that should be required reading material for everyone. I have had some debating/meeting classes once, but reading through those guidelines made me realize that I did forget a lot of what I've once learned...

That would be why I quit watching it in the second season. Hey, we all make mistakes.

As for this thread, I guess joining in was my mistake. It's funny how you all keep talking about opinions, while every time I share one of mine I get shouted down by Queen B and her little clique.

I should have known better, really. I've known for a long time that arguing with an asshole is like bashing your head against a brick wall. The wall's unaffected, and I've got a headache. Oh well, no real harm done.

Oh no you didn't just call Kristine 'an asshole'...

By the way, I'm not a member of anyone's clique. I just don't happen to agree with trolling, which was what the OP was doing. And I also happen to thing that the whole thing about the reviews is being blown out of proportion - if people don't like them, they really do not have to read them. Trashing someone for having an opinion and voicing it intelligently lacks class and if people really have enough time on their hands to argue about how Kristine conducts herself, then they have enough time to write a review challenging her ideas about the show.

I really don't feel like getting involved in this but yes but calling someone an asshole? That's really classy do yourself a favor and go read Elsie's post further up even follow the link why don't you.

You called Kristine "unprofessional" and stated how you are also a reviewer and implied you are a better reviewer than Kristine. If you didn't expect people to ask to read your reviews or call you on your behavior, then maybe joining was a mistake. I find it interesting that you have no problem trashing Kristine, but when people start asking you questions about yourself and your reviews you suddenly call foul.

"Asshole?" Really? This is a discussion board so you have every right to express your opinions. You don't, however, have the right to call people names, and your unwillingness to respond to questions about you and your "reviews" pretty much proves you're just here to stir up trouble. If you're going to talk about how you're a reviewer and imply you're more "professional" and a better reviewer than Kristine you should be prepared to put your money where your mouth is.

I still want to know where your reviews are published and am genuinely interested in reading them, but I suppose that's way to much to ask.

No one is "shouting you down". You don't like the reviews, and we've continually tried to tell you, thats YOUR opinion, and no one is forcing you to read them. But you are continually bashing Kristine as being "unprofessional", and not having respect for the other opinions on the board. Not everyone here has the same opinion, and we all manage to coexist. So, no, it isn't your difference of your opinion that is making you tedious and annoying to listen to.

Really? And you wonder why people here aren't greeting you with open arms, when you openly insult in this manner. Who is the "unprofessional" one now?

And I still would like to see your "reviews". Funny how you manage to keep avoiding giving us the name of the publication.
