Torchwood

I enjoyed the episode. Sadly, I really struggled to remember what happened at the end of the first series, so I was a little confused (and I'm now wondering if I have ever even seen the end of series 1) :lol:. Oh well, it didn't really matter as I picked up what was going on, and I guess it was recapped slightly... Jack disappeared, and now he's back, and don't the team just look thrilled to see him! He's a charmer. ;)

Torchwood is very enjoyable, deliciously camp, and completely ridiculous. What's not to like? :lol: I'm personally tempted to watch the episode when it screens in the earlier made-for-youngsters time slot, as I just can't wait to see how much they have to cut out. Seriously, Torchwood is a little like soft porn, anything and anyone goes, science fiction. This season looks very promising and the promo was fantastic. I can't wait for next week. :D

Sorry........I've slapped my wrists. Now that I've gotten over the initial thrill of getting Torchwood back on the screens I promise to be more careful....
 
I absolutely loved the premiere. Tosh, Ianto, Gwen, Jack, and even Owen were pretty awesome.

I'm a Jack/Ianto fan, myself. Having said that --
I'm extremely happy with Jack asking Ianto out on a proper date. I loved Ianto's reaction and the way his answer played out. I also laughed at Jack's office 'fetish'.
 
i'm happy now. i finally got to watch the season premiere. i wish that Capt. John Hart didn't have to leave. i think he would have made a cool team member. i also think it would be interesting to see how he would get along w/ Ianto.

Squeeee!!!!! Jack and Ianto, up a tree K I S S I N G!! Okay, so it was Jack's office and Ianto started it, but whoo-hooo!! that has got to be the sweetest most romantic, not to mention hottest scene I've watched in a long while!

I quite liked the episode, it actually scared me a little, the ghosts in the hospital were sufficiently creepy, the way they just appeared and disappeared. Freaky. :lol:
 
I spent the episode wavering from shedding a little tear to complete out and out Squeeeeeing..(you know which bit I'm talkin' bout ;)).....even my least favourite character, Owen, didn't bug me like usual. I have high, high hopes for the rest of the season based on the first few episodes

I've heard there is more Jack/Ianto goodness in episode 5
 
That really was a good episode. For some reason I keep thinking Ianto's accent isn't as strong this series. He's sounding less Welsh - unless it's my lugs playing up.
 
Yoshi, Gareth's accent is a lot less pronounced in real life, so maybe it's slipping a little.

When Tosh was told Tommy had to go back to his own time, and that he would die shortly afterwards, I can't believe there was no mention of Jack going through a similar thing with Real Jack last season, especially as Tosh was there with him in that episode!

I think this season they've lived up to "adult themes" so far, last season there was a lot of gratuitous swearing just because they were post-watershed. This year it's more the stories, even with the naughty stuff cut out they're still not exactly child-friendly.
 
I've been reading the previews for the next episode, it looks kinda similar to one of the books, Border Princes - and it looks like we're going to get some major Jack backstory!

OK, I just got into Torchwood like a couple of weeks ago, but I love it. I've seen all of season 1 and I'm up to ep 5 season 2. This is such a hott show. I'm dying to see the ep with Jack, Ianto and the terradactal (sp) I saw a clip of it and I'm guessing it's how the two found each other.
