A Dutch site was posted that Maxis has said that the release date for Glamour Life is 8/31. Very lucky for me since that's my birthday. If you all are wondering I find all this sim news on Snooty Sims, it's a wonderful sight. I highly recomend checking it out.

Sims move to big screen.

Computer geeks rejoice: 20th Century Fox is bringing "The Sims" to the big screen.
How on earth will they do that, you ask? Fox's Steve Asbell is reaming with Sims Studio head Rod Humble to develop a live-action story.
"The Sims has done an interactive version of an old story, which is what it's like to have infinite power and how do you deal with it," Humble said in Variety.
"Given that that's an old story, you can imagine how easily that would translate to traditional story telling."
"The Sims" series is the best selling computer game in history, allowing players to control every aspect of a suburban family's life. The product follows a wave of similar "Sim" games, including "Sim City", "Sim Park" and "Sim Ant".

I do like the Sims! I had the first one, but it stopped workinf after a while. Then I bought Sims 2 (had to buy a new computer for it) and now it doesn't work anymore. It's very, very slow and the screen has lines in everything. Plus, I can't see their careers anymore. Yeah, it's all screwed up! That's why I don't play it anymore. My computer didn't like it as much as I did. But it's a shame. I am so unlucky with Sims :( I wonder if they don't like the lifes I give them  I have University, too, and well, I would like to have NightLife, but guess what? I won't because it wouldn't work properly

Now Sims is going to be in the big screen...I wonder how it is going to turn out

I love the Sims! I only have the Unleashed one and I have no plans on buying others. I played the second one once and I found it very confusing but it looks more fun than the what I got. The guys was cheating with 3 other girls and he got himself abducted-- pregnant while his wife is pregnant too.

The only time I ever played Sims, I locked all these people in a little box with an oven and a grill and it went up in flames....
Haha! I do that all the time. Or sometimes I make them swim then I'll take out that stairs so that they couldn't get out.

I really took time to look for cheats. And when i don't feel like it, I just build houses, my dream houses. :D

I borrowed the Sims 2 from my cousin because her computer had some kind of problem but sometimes when i played it it was slow as hell and it froze a couple of times but i used to play it 24/7. I am definatley watching this film! I wonder how its gonna come out. haha luvcsi i used to do that too i put them in a pool and then they died but i put it in fast forward because sometimes it took forever and i wouldnt have time for that

I loved my Sims 2 games. I've played them since I was so young. I used to drown sims, or set house fires, so I could get gravestones . But I had a family which had 15 kids! and 27 grandkids, it was so cool. I was really proud and they were all successful, but than I got a new computer and it stopped working :(

^^wow you were lucky! everytime i played with my sims they always ended up fighting or died of hunger but sometimes when they had sex and the woman was pregnant i sped it up a little with a cheat i found but i never got to grandchildren
and if i created a character and tried to hook it up with someone else i would suck at it so bad

Wow, good to see this thread up and running again. I still play the sims and have all expansions, except for Seasons, still haven't grabbed that one up yet. But I'll be sure to soon. It's a fun game and I like to rock out with my guitar and favorite country music singer. See Below :D
