Re: The Rest In Peace & Remembrance Thread

That's such a shame about Donda West.

I remember Mr. Whipple. The news said that back in 1978 he was actually the third most popular/well-known American, behind Richard Nixon and Billy Graham.

May they both rest in peace. :(

Nov 27, 2:02 PM (ET)
By MATT SEDENSKY

MIAMI (AP) - Pro Bowl safety Sean Taylor died Tuesday after he was shot in his home by an apparent intruder, leaving the Washington Redskins in mourning for a teammate who seemed to have reordered his life since becoming a father.

The 24-year-old player died at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he had been airlifted after the shooting early Monday.

"It is with deep regret that a young man had to come to his end so soon," father Pedro Taylor said in a statement on behalf of the family. "Many of his fans loved him because the way he played football. Many of his opponents feared him the way he approached the game. Others misunderstood him, many appreciated him and his family loved him."

Re: The Rest In Peace & Remembrance Thread

I'm saddened to see that Evel Knievel has died :( He certainly was a colourful man. I did watch some of his jumps on TV.

Re: The Rest In Peace & Remembrance Thread

Wow! So sorry to hear about Evel. Surprisingly after all of the lfe-threatening stunts he did, it was a disease that took his life.

Re: The Rest In Peace & Remembrance Thread

Evel was the daredevil king of all times, and many idolized him I just saw Criss Angel, speaking about him on Larry King, and said, "that know one did the stunts he did" & who'd want to try and leap over the Grand Canyon, [they turned him down] so he did the Snake River instead, who'd do that  him, and George Eads portrayed him in a TV movie..may he RIP :(

Re: The Rest In Peace & Remembrance Thread

RIP Evil Knievil.
I don't really remember much about him except for his jumps.

The NFL lost one too.
RIP Sean Taylor. How sad :(

Rapper Pimp C found dead in LA hotel
December 4, 2007, 4:54 PM

LOS ANGELES - Pimp C, one-half of the veteran Houston rap group UGK, was found dead in an upscale hotel on Tuesday. He was 33.

Pimp C, born Chad Butler, was found dead in the Mondrian hotel, a longtime music-industry hangout.

Butler, who grew up in Port Arthur, Texas, came from a musical lineage. His father was a professional trumpet player, and the rapper studied classical music in high school. He even received a Division I rating on a tenor solo at a University Interscholastic League choir competition.

Re: The Rest In Peace & Remembrance Thread

^ I hadn't heard or read anything about Pimp C. He was young. :(

Sean Taylor's death was absolutely senseless. He had his whole life ahead of him. I'm truly grateful his wife/girlfriend(?) and child were safe.

Evel Knievel: The man was beyond words. He was legendary.

May they all RIP.
