*Takes offered cake* Thanks! Apparently, we're fresh out. My sister got the last piece. Oh well.

Lol. People should love this thread. It's great for me... I'm such a random person. I love all things random. More things should be random.

Washing a cat.
My youngest...when she was little had fell (or been swimming :p ) in moopoo. Seriousy. Stink was ssooooo bad when she came in the house and we couldn't keep her in the house like that (they mostly are outside). Her mom was still kind of looking after her and so...I was in bathroom, washing her. I closed the door so she cannot escape.

My mother said it sounded quite interesting because
a) kitten was screaming because she was being washed
b) I was screaming because the friggin kitten clawing me
c) The mommy cat was screaming behind the bathroom door because her baby was screaming

Yeah...I had two twin cats once. Male and female. I was more fond of the female cos she dosen't scratch me when I bathed her. She just sat there and smiled as I scrubbed her back :p. But the male one however, friggin coward! Water's not gonna burn you! And he goes around the bathroom freaking out! Left scars not only on my hands but all over my back and neck when it tries to climb on me for dear life.

Eh! What's funnier is the the cat's curiousity. You know when they see a tub of water, they just can't resist. They'll start pawing at it and then they fall in.  Seriously hilarious!

We declawed our cats. :p

I normally don't bathe my cat for two reasons.

1) She's faster than me and will shoot out of the tub, soap suds and all.
2) She sounds so pathetic when I wash her, that I feel so sorry for her and get a towel. (Sneaky little thing)

;)

when my pixie was a kitten she did that, but to the toilet! she was trying to hold on to the seat for dear life  she doesnt go into bathrooms anymore

on another off-topic:
why is my university so stupid? why do they schedule one genetics lab that conflicts with another genetics course lecture? dont they realize a lot of people probably want to take both?!?! ive already had to replan my next semester because of conflicts, arent i paying them to take the courses i want?

 I don't let her out of the house, but she's probably still got her fleas from when we found her outside and she's too young to get a flea shot.
But I can't not shower her, sometimes she really stinks and i can't stand it.

I really love seafood. I feel like eating a raw octopus right now.

Poor Pixie but that's funny!

Today, mum made me help her cook again the second I stepped out after a nice shower. I tell you, it's a new form of torture for people who like to stay clean after they bathe.

Speaking of cooking, I wanna ask you people what do you think of GUYS who can cook? Not cook as in instant noodles and all but REAL cooked food. I asked my friend and she very helpfully answered, "I guess that's kindda cool."

I can't cook to save my life. I can't even cook pasta.

I also love seafood. Fish is my favourite food, cooked anyway with any type of fish. I'm actually the only one in my family that likes fish. So, I don't really get a chance to have fish all that often, unless I cook it myself - and I can't cook.

CSIsMANIAC, I find the best thing to do is find a nice man and then teach him to cook!

My husband can cook quite well, he is an only child and his mum used to make him help out in the kitchen when he was young, so maybe that is the answer (find a guy who grew up as an only child and whose mother didn't just do everything for him!)

Although, he loves cooking and can do it well, he is extremely slow and I can't bear to watch him in the kitchen as I feel the need to take over. You know, I do usually want to eat before midnight!! ;)

Still trying to teach him other basic skills, such as ironing and how to load the washing machine, but I'm getting there.... :)

Oh lol! I seem to have phrased myself wrongly there. :p

My friend said that having a guy who can cook for her all the time would be great. See, she's the lazy kind. Dad's been saying that a man who can cook can accomplish just about everything. Some guys are just lousy at cooking. Belieeeeeve me! What they cook can't even be concieved as edible! Least I know a few dishes like mac and cheese, spaghetti and nice steak with poached potatoes on the side.

I think that's kinda cool too, especially seeing as I don't know any guys who can cook :p Well, except maybe my boyfriend, though he always warns "it should be edible"

And it's nice if guys can cook and do domestic stuff like that. You know, I get sick of doing so many chores round the house and my brother doing **** all. Makes me feel he thinks it's "women's work" or "oh well, parents will clean up after me"

That's a stereotype brother you've got there Naomi :p. I don't blame ya.

 No guys who cook?? Whoa, and I've met girls who can't cook. Which should be common these days. Ouh so it's more like a trade. Now the women don't cook but the men do .

Mum's a great cook and she told me one day, "A man who can't cook is like having a man with two left feet." Which I thought was really funny cos she was referring to me dad. But then I thought, I better learn how to cook so I did very slowly.

Oh, it's becoming clearer now. I was indeed confused!

A man who could cook would be nice, but I am a bit of a control freak, the kitchen is my domain and I wouldn't want to be usurped! :)

My best friends brother is one of the best cooks I know, it's weird because it seems to just be completely natural to him, he was never taught or even had to cook when he was young. He even butters toast perfectly, and enjoys cooking for people. I love going round to visit them, he also does great breakfast in bed! (I'm married so I'm not talking of anything strange there, he just really does make a good breakfast). :) I have read somewhere that the rise in convenience foods is leading to people being less likely to learn to cook. Mothers can't cook so they can't teach it to their children, it is a vicious circle. They also teach it differently in schools now, a lot more focus is given to packaging and marketing of food and less actual practical work. I think everyone should make bread at least once, it is very relaxing and satisfying.

My favourite foods are seafood (of all types), cheese of any kind and Green and Blacks chocolate...

CSIsMANIAC I am impressed. A man who can cook. *hugs*

I couldn't cook to save my life. Well, I can't cook anything fancy. Kraft Dinner, pork, spaghetti, perrogies, toast...That's pretty much it. :p

I'm not so bad at cooking - better than I thought I would be at it anyway. I can cook enough dishes to be able to survive  though like Geni, I don't really do anything fancy.
