I can actually deal with the Ray domination of the episode decently, but just how many episodes do we need about prostitution and/or sex slavery? I stopped watching CSI:Miami because, among other reasons, watching Horatio Caine play the hero to poor, helpless victimized women and children did not, to me, constitute nice, relaxing primetime entertainment, especially on weeks like this one when the newspaper is already sufficiently full of stories on more young women being victimized. This storyline is beyond overdone.

Please, CSI, go back to quirky murder stories with quirky, hapless and complex victims. Definitely skipping this episode.

Well I don't know. We just had a story on our news here a week about about some guy trying to make some woman his sex slave...so it is still stuff going on.

Yes, stuff like that still happens, but it seems to be in the newspapers, news shows and, to a lesser extent, primetime and other TV just for the sake of selling. I get that, for whatever perverse reason, violence against women gets viewers and/or readers, but that doesn't make it any less misogynistic and unpleasant. Personally, after seeing a disproportionate amount of press for the Ohio serial killer case and the heroin OD of a local girl who was apparently gang raped earlier, I feel way oversaturated with media of this nature.

Well technically violence against women and children is the most common violence around, so they are just going with what has become of this world these days.

CSI is known for using real life situations in their episodes.

I don't like that it is just Ray being the crossover person. Yeah I get that he's their new star but I still think it would be better for more than one CSI to be involved. Like if Catherine, Nick, or Greg went with him. I hate CSI:Miami and refuse to watch it but I might have to make an exception and watch it only so I know what is happening on NY and Vegas.

Nice article, Inxs.

A little off-topic:

Does anyone else here watch Dexter? For those who don't, it is set in Miami. In last night's episode the MDPD found a woman's severed arm in an alligator. I couldn't help but think 'it's a 4-way crossover!'.
A Dexter/CSI:LV crossover is one I would definitely watch. :)

Thank's Inxs interesting and I as will don't watch Miami, but seeing the YouTube video with the two of them, they looked confortable together, so I will as well make an exception, at least Ray is the one, and I think he'll do beautifully. Talk about CSI overload this week:cool: And I don't watch "Dexter" when is it on?

Just an FYI, for those of you who would be interested in some continuity--Warrick and Catherine are mentioned in tonight's Miami episode, referencing back to the backdoor Pilot of Miami.

Did any of you watch the Miami episode??? Let me tell you, I DON'T watch Miami but I thought it was great!

It's gruesome though. It talks about cutting up girls. One was dead and the other was  still alive  I do suggest you watch it though, it was really really good.

Sorry, I watched, and hated it. I won't go in depth as to why, let's just say it pains me to watch David Caruso.

The only bright spot to me was the new guy, 'Walter', I think. I would like to see he and Hodges interact.

ETA: Also, the Warrick mention was nice. :)

YES INDEED, it was great and wondeful cast, drop dead georgous Calleigh and Natalia, wow, and the new guy :p those dimples, and the camraderie between Horatio and Dr. Ray was so strong and they showed so much respect for one another it was a great, riveting episode, but gory and horrific as well, and showed Ray's sensational expertise~

A CBS video of all 3 eps., quick bites~

At first i thought this crossover wouldn't be good because of all the langston in it. I still would of preferred Nick and Catherine going instead but it's actually been really good so far. The Miami episode was great and I loved Horatio's mention about Warrick's death. New York was good as well and I liked how they showed Vegas at the end of the episode. I hope tonights episode is as good.
