In Danny's own words, "See what I did there?"

I don't normally use it everyday, but I thought it seemed appropriate in here. Who knows it might sneak into my vocabulary some day and then the looks I would get.

 i just can´t help myself imagining one of us here having an oral exam in english and speaking like danny and the teacher, all confused, would be like "wha? could you repeat that please? slowly this time..."

 He's really not that hard to understand once you get the feel for how certain sounds...well, sound with his dialect. For example, the way he turned the "th" in "threw" to "tr". Once you listen to it you internalize the "rules" (language, even slang, is very logical even if it doesn't seem like it) and can "translate" (for lack of a better word) very easily. The main thing to do is to listen to the words and try not to be distracted by the accent (I know, I know, that's hard when it sounds so sexy on him!)

Hmm, did I just turn into the geeky linguist that I am? My apologies!

Thanks for the welcome.

Hey Khanada, I read on the MesserandFlack livejournal that you are working on a third Danny/Flack story, taking place the next day. When can we expect to see it? I don't mean to pester, but I loved your other stories and am looking forward to another installment.

Someone posted a pic, I think it was back on the old thread, of him with a cigarette. Might just have been holding it for someone else, but unfortunately I doubt it. :(
No, I don't think he was holding it for someone else. Guess he shares the same weakness as I do...oh well, apart from the love for painting, that's another thing I share with Carmine.

But....other than that....I'm sure he's perfect :D. Actually not very likely, but I can't help to like someone's imperfections...goes with the whole bad boy-attitude...very attractive

Soon as I come up with something that resembles a plot. Rest of my stuff got put on a livejournal account also, as well as still being on ff.net.

Good Morning (well it is for me anyway).

Sorry to drag things back to smoking (oh that cursed time difference) but a lot of smokers I know said one of the hard things about quitting is breaking the automatic response of lightin up at certain times so I guess we can 'help' Carmine by finding other things to do for his hands and mouth....

On another vaguely (sp?) Carmne related topic, I was reading a book yesterday and it mentioned a resteraunt called Carmine's in Times Square. Can any New Yorkers confirm is this is true? It was fiction so they could have made it up I guess. If there is such a place I think it would be the perfect venue for a stateside LRG party, if there isn't one of yu guys should open one, you'd make a killing!!

Ah well, back to pretending to work and really thinking happy Danny thoughts...

Good to know Carmine has lots of screen time in In Enemy Hands. I'll have to watch it. Also, thanks for bringing that shower picture to mind, that was one tasty pic. :p
You should watch it. There's a definite share of nekkidness-scenes in the movie (poor Carmine shivering from the cold sea water...awww!). Not to mention plenty of showing-off scrumpdidliumptious muscular arms, as Carmine's in charge of hauling around torpedos...YUM :D

picked up a used DVD copy of "Learning Curve" for $3
Whoa, sooo jealous! Anyhoo, glad you decided to come out of hiding and join the Locker Room crowd. You will like it here...honestly :D

I second that Udjat!! He is very yummy, first film I bought with him in, LOVE my multi region dvd player. Also he's in danger a fair bit in this movie which, call me crazy, really floats my boat. Mind you, a guy like that doing anything would float my boat ;)

-edit-wow never been first post on a page before. YAY for me!! :D

You so know it! He's got quite some key scenes in this. I really love the expression of fear on his face, when he's got a knife to his throat, Poor Coop! :(

Also love the sign language in the scene where he and the German torpedo guy are starting to work together, too cute! :)

Funny thing, I rented this movie a while back, didn't know Carmine then (how I managed to miss him, I dunno ), but still loved that movie. Imagine my surprise (DOH!) when I found out he was in it...plenty of reason to add the movie to my collection! :D

Those are two of my favourite scenes as well! I have the weird feeling I've seen it sometime before, maybe it was on TV. Would have been back before I'd heard of Carmine but I think I loved his character anyway.

Also loved his final scene where he literally swings himself in front of William H. Macy to say he's ready to leave the ship. He climbs up the ladder cue, butt-shot  and yells: Woohoo, I'm going home!...sniff, too cute!

Yeah that's really cute!
I've ordered Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss, Fallen Arches and the Learning Curve but due to the vagaries of international shipping I'm not expecting them for another couple of weeks. Ah well, got CSI: NY on Saturday to look forward to, it's Supply and Demand and I'm very much looking forward to the CPR scene people have been posting pics of.
