QOTU - Sure, my quote is from 'Starman' (Jeff Bridges and Karen Allen) It's a great soppy film, IMHO, and I just think it's a great description of love. If you use it in a fic please post a link!
And that brings me back to the phobias, and I love everything you’ve all said about them switching phobias and I’d love to read something like that. No... wait... back up a second... that would make an interesting "coming out" piece... lol, plot bunny coming! (Yup, you can steal this one too) I mean, if Nick is suddenly afraid of explosions and fire, on the show, as cannon, that would raise flags with everyone, since nothing has happened to him that deals with those things. At least, that’s what everyone else thinks. But in reality, something did happen, Greg nearly got blown to bits... see what I mean?
Can I steal it for my series? Please?! I love this idea but hadn't thought of it as a coming out piece until you said this. I think I could do something with that fabulous idea, or at least try to...
All this talk of middle names...does Nick have a middle name? I feel I should know this but I don't. *for shame* I haven't seen the new epi btw so please share any new subtext.
Nat x
I'll try to remember to post a link, but it's going to be a few months, I think, until I get it done, what with Braden, Texas Chronicles, and soon (I hope) Strength of Soul, which, if I don't get written, well, I'm sure some of you will yell at me for putting delicious pics of merman Greg in your head and then not following through. lol. But The Fighter should come after that, or maybe even during. We'll see.
As for the idea, sure, go right ahead and steal it!
lol, speaking of coming out stories, I thought of another one this morning... a really bad angsty one, and I've got most of the scene played out in my head, which is annoying. I mean, you know, I've already got stories I'm working on. I'll give you the idea since I'm doing my best not to write it because I feel like sharing. If you like, maybe I'll do something with it. So, this is in Grissom's pov. He overhears Nick yelling at Greg in the hall about taking her away from him, and he's confused and goes to see what's up. Greg's noticing everyone watching them and talking about coming out this way. It turns out that Nick's current case has him on edge, and in a violent mood so Greg took his daughter away from him to protect her. The thing is, no one knew Nick had a daughter (two years old). Griss begins to yell at Greg because that's kidnapping. But Greg points out that it's not because he has two documents that show it: one a document that says he and Nick share a last name and another which shows the daughter shares their last name as well. And no one knew any of this was going on. Greg refuses to tell Nick where he and the girl are living, since they moved out of their house, until Nick gets the help Greg's been telling him to get. Angsty, I know. I couldn't help myself, I guess.
As for the last ep, ehh, it was ok. Not great though. The jokes were not that funny. Oh well.
There was something else I was gonna say, but I can't remember right now, and I'm running late, so I've gotta go. ttyl!
