Ooo, hope you don't get shot down, Twins. Which other board was this? I remember posting somewhere at one point that Nick's sexuality could easily be debated, and boy did I get flamed.

You know, it's about time The Love got another mention in the media. Aside from GSR (which can't be avoided as it is canon), I think Nick/Greg is the only other fan ship to actually make it into the newspapers. That has got to look good for us.

They were discussing gay sex, and the term "frottage."

I remembered what it was because a gay Nick/Greg fan (at the forum on nickandgreg.com, before it was hacked) asked if a lot of straight girls knew the term. Cause it's mostly used by gay guys.

Just another reason on top of our huge pile, why Nick is gay.

Over Thanksgiving break I read this fanfic on WMTDB, that was just horrifyingly scary. I don't know how I managed to read it with a straight face with family present. However, tonight, I discovered the sequel... and... OMG... several hours later and I'm still realing from it. It made me burst into tears at the end, and so I thought I'd share it with you all. It's called "Keep You" by ItGlitters and the sequel is "Still Love Me". Be warned... really... it's DARK and ANGSTY!
But anywho, I just thought I'd throw that out to anyone who dares to read.
And now, I'm off to watch more of season two, to hopefully combat the sadness overwhelming me... Ah, the subtext and good spaghetti! YUM!!

 

Awwww QOTU think of all the good subtexty moments our boys have had. The eye sex, the ass looks, Nicky being an ass man, boy touching, and our xmas present aka The Lube scene!

As for Nicky's sexuality, I think a lot of people dont see it becaue they bought the ladies man act. I did myself, even though I could never explain why Nicky was checking out Greggo's ass. Nicky does what some would call flirt with women. And I can see how people getot that conclusion, but I really think its his Texan charm. Even if it flirting he has NEVER flirted with any other team member like he has with Greggo.

This might have been brought up before but what is everyone's favorite slashy/ subtexty moment between our boys??? Try to choose one that Nicky did to Greggo & one that Greggo did to Nicky. It can be something said, or done (a pat, look, etc.)

I think with a lot of this subtext, it can be chalked up to the fact that they have a VERY unique job and they see a lot in their day to say lives.

That being said, som of it is undeniable.

I also wonder how much of the Nick/Greg stuff we see is just George and Eric either screwing with us or TPTB. Or both.

As for my favorite slashy scenes. I have to say the "Thanks Doll" piece was great, even more so knowing that a good potion of it wasn't scripted.

Oh I slash scenes! <3 Hmm, the penis one I don't remember, but my fave scene is the ass check. Let's not forget their wave. Anyways, back to my take home final.

Nickfangirl- The Net was the first TV show that Eric was in. It was based off the movie of the same name. He played Jacob Resh, a teenage wiz at computers. I'm working on a crossover between CSI and The Net, but I don't have all my ducks in a row just yet.

As for my fav slashy scenes... not too sure actually! I finally got to rewatch all of Felonious Monk last night and saw the "Eye Candy" scene in context... wow... if it weren't for screen caps, I woulda missed it! lol. It's quick, but it's there! I guess "Leggo my Greggo" is one of my favs. Did you notice that even Warrick calls him Greggo after that, at least once, and I think someone else did, but it was Nick who first said it. I was hoping it would be a "Nick only" phrase, but I guess not...

Well, off to read some fanfic! Might even get a chance to finish Club Starlight this afternoon, but we'll see.

 

Well maybe not so stupid, I just read that negotiations have broken down again and there are only two more CSI eps left until the strike ends. CBS is planning to borrow shows from cable networks to replace current shows. It's not looking good right now.

QOTU - ItGlitters is one of the best writers out there, she has beta'd for me in the past. I agree 'Keep you' was an awesome fic and I loved it, the sequel really upset me (as you know why) but both fics were very good and very dark.

The darkness of those fics actually inspired me to write my fic 'Property rights' where Grissom is a very dark character who treats Greg horribly, and Nick steps in as rescuer. maybe you read it.

About the term frottage, it is a excellent example for questioning Nick's sexuality. It is mainly used and known by gay men. So, it is another thing to add to the evidence list. :devil:

 

My favourite moment is and will probably always be the eye-sex in Felonious Monk, don't have a picture (actually can't seem to find one) but as soon as I have it I'll post it 'cause it's just so hot! And they did it in front of Grissom!

Actually most of the time Nick's coming on to Greg, must think about a scene where it's the other way around. Well of course Greg started the eye-sex in Felonious Monk and got closer and closer in Scuba Doobie Doo!
Must rewatch them when I'm home again.

I usually don't read angsty or dark fanfic but I really liked Property Rights, Wojo.

When happened that frottage line? Was it in S7. Can't wait to watch that in the original and without breaks!

I actually also read Property Rights while I was away, don't know how I managed to keep a straight face while reading that one either! lol, Awesome work, I must say! I really don't know why I love angst so much, I just do!

So, I have some good news... and some bad news. Good news, is that for fans of Ghost, chapter 4 is posted on WMTDB. The bad news is that for those of you who read it on FF.net, you can't cause it won't let me update! It keeps telling me it's an invalid request, which is stupid. So, anyway, let's hope the problem, whatever it may be, gets fixed soon.
And now that both stories are at equal chapter numbers, I'll get Club Starlight finished.

Also, I just cannot believe all the important eps I've been missing from season two! I mean, there was Lady HEather, and Nigel Crane... and now I know what people are reffering to when they talk about the Crimestopper stuff! Man, I know I saw all these when they aired, but I guess they went in one ear, in one eye and right out the other! Gosh this was a good season! And so much subtext, I just don't know how I missed it all before! wow! lol, I know, I'm a dork. I can't help it!
You know, they show a lot of hands doing stuff, and for some reason I've started to try to determine who's hands I'm looking at... and I've failed, miserably, except when they're Greg's cause his are long and narrow like mine. Yup... here I am... don't have a life... just please don't call me Sara! hehehe.
I think it's just me being tired, right now. So, with that said, I'm headed to bed, to get some sleep and have some juicy dreams of my Greggo.

Well, just thought I would tell you how non-The Love fans read the eye-smutage from FM:

I was cruising the net the other night and stumbled across a Grissom/Greg site that also makes reference to other Greg pairings, including Nick/Greg. In reference, it just lists if there are any moments within the episode that may be (and should be in my opinion) read as subtext.

Anyway, their view of the eye-smutage scene is that Greg is all boastful to Grissom and physically bragging about it, and Nick is jealous and annoyed at him. Now, I respect the opinions of others, but I honestly cannot read it like that. When I see that scene, all I see is pure, hot, subtexty eye-porn. XD
