*gasp!* Vera, don't make me come after you with my paint bucket! :lol: Well, seeing as how so many people upload their art to their lj and just post a link, I suppose it's relevant.

I just checked, my LJ seems to be fine... but then again, I didn't actually try to do anything.

I believe they were doing some work on it but the site should be up now since I went on it a bit ago to update my journal :).

I have a question, too: my mom asks me every day what I want for Christmas, and so I decided to ask for Photoshop. Now: which version do you guys use, what can be recommended etc. I really wanna know, there are so many programs out there, I don't wanna buy (or get it bought ;)) the wrong one. Thanks in advance!
Oh, and I know this is no new question, but I don't have enough free time atm to check back all entries, and my mom needs the answer till the day before yesterday lol, so every help would be really appreciated! :)

Vera, I'd ask for photosop CS3 (or have they gotten up to 4 now)

I use PS elements. It's a great program, but it just doesn't have all the features, which I find frustrating at times, and for someone who would use it a lot, it's probably better to have the full CS version.

Vera - I also use elements 5.0 and I love it. The CS versions are quite expensive....it will depend on how much your mom wants to spend.

Well, I'd LOVE to work with CS, but as you said, Kat, it's expensive, wow! :wtf: I guess my ma doesn't want to spend more than 150,- € for a computer program lol Last question: does Elements include an animation program?

No it does not. The only animation you can do with elements is to like rotate icons or banners. Does that make sense?
You can get imageready with photoshop 7 but that is very expensive as well.

Ah, OK, well, actually it doesn't really matter, cause I still have the Ulead Gif Animator, I just thought an all-in-one program would be cool. (and via Amazon.de PS 7 is pricewise absolutely in the line, under 100 bucks, but I didn't hear very good reports, so PS 6 or 5 is fine :))
