The Closer

This episde was wacky and comical, all the way through, the silly sister-in-law to be, and her pyschic nonsense, although she was right on the money on this case. Her drivig everyone in the office nuts, and Provenza funny comments "Next were going to do animal balloons":lol: So it was the guy who did the stunt work and how Brenda fooled him with the false identies, she's so good. And dealing the vegan crap her wacky to be sister-in-law cooked up, almost gagging on all of it. A whimiscal light hearted episode~
 
:beer:Yipee Brenda and Fritz got married, it's about time, more :bolian: laughes on this one. Brenda is soo eccentric, she was more worried about her case than her dress, etc. and Fritz had to leave to go on a FBI sting too, the parents and his wacky sister, we're running about like little bees, doing everything. How She uses trickery on her cases to get her perp. is so underhanded but it works, finally the whole team video-taped their congratulations funny and Provenza caught her bouquet:lol: and when she went to change, from her wedding dress, eating a hidden chocolate cupcake and putting the wedding cake frosting on it.. and watching herself eating it in the mirror:confused: but always good!
 
The Closer will start again on June 8~ *SPOILER*

The LAPD's Brenda [Kyra Sedgwick] married Fritz[Jon Tenny] Sparring ex-lovers Gabriel [Corey Reynolds] and Daniels [Gina Ravera] disrupted the workplace. The newlyweds conflict? Fritz wants children, Brenda's not sure, says James Duff, the creator. Provenza [G.W. Bailey] falls in love, says Duff "She, is way younger than you might think. "But Sanchez [Raymond Cruz] still struggles after his brother's death"
 
This was a fantastic premier, the wrong address and a quadriple murder, and Brenda as always was on top of the whole thing. It was a puzzler as to who did this, but it became clear when the two address were similar and the low-life woman killed the wrong people for her scum-bag boyfriend prison drug dealer. Fritz and the whole team were incredible as always. And poor Brenda is distraught because 'kitty' is ill:( Riveting and an attention getter:thumbsup:
 
Just started getting into The Closer on DVD. I must say, I'm impressed. I absolutely love Brenda Lee Johnson and her distinctive style....

I never knew there were so many meanings of Thank You, and a lot of my family is from the South. :)

Last night was again a riveting episode, Brenda is so sharp and goes after the culprit like a dog with a big bone. The kindapped snake who ripped off hundreds of victims with his scam, and got big payback. I was a bit surprised to see Miguel Sandoval [Devalos] play the heavy, the actual kidnapper, as he's the head honch on "MEDIUM" he's a good actor. The whole episode with Provenza acting like a giddy teenager, but wouldn't cough up his 'reason' seems he's in love. But the ending finding the guy dead. and Brenda giving 'kitty' her shots.. hope she recovers. One never knows how this show will end "thank ya'all" :)
 
OMG this was one of the most riveting epeisodes ever.. CSI get a clue:rolleyes: Kyra is incredible she blows me away. And her camraderie with guest star Mary McDonnell fantastic:eek: they hated each other's guts, Brenda is over her as Chief and her as Capt. but they both pulled rank on one another, the looks were poison darts. Great acting on both levels Her right hand guy Gabriel, was always telling the truth, and how Brenda weaseled her way into the hosptal room..twice.. to talk to the real shooter, over the top. she's so fascinating It all boiled down to the Arab/Muslim factor, gone awry.. and I wept at the end her "kitty" is dying, and she was so beliveable and she cried and hugged the kitty and said "I wished I knew what you were thinking" the cat was a good actress [kittly girl] And how the team sticks together through thick and thin is so wonderful:bolian:

I so loved Captain Rehder's character. I certainly hope she comes back, as she would make a lovely foe for Brenda Leigh. There are so many incredible ways she could return to make Brenda's life miserable. I mean, Honestly, they are both very similar characters in the way that they both want justice, and they are willing to do just about anything to get it. They're both skilled at playing the game, and don't care who they step on to get to the truth. I was really strongly reminded of the first couple of episodes when she came in and just took over, sort of like Brenda Leigh did....Although, it goes without saying, in a battle between Captain Rehder and Brenda Leigh Johnson, my heart is with Brenda Leigh. ;):cool:

Speaking of heart, I felt so bad for Brenda Leigh over the loss of Kitty. Having been their before, it's just heartwrenching when you have to make that decision, and you DO wish you could know what your pet is thinking.

Kitty was a great character and she will be missed. I'd also heard that the cat who portrayed Kitty actually passed on just four days after they filmed the episode. She will be missed. :(
 
Another A+ epsiode, I think I'll scream if I have to watch another CSI re-run, so it's great that this show is here and on CABLE it came in at #1:bolian:This about a gay/drug pusher/informant. So many twists and turns, keeps one riveted. Brenda is compelling & captivating. Her and Fritz had to work on this case the lines between them fantastic. On 'kitty' her ashes Brenda goes I want to put 'kitty' somewhere she's likes Fritz goes, Where would that be, you never let her out:lol: and who carries their pets ashes in their purse.. only her.. and always refers to the cat as HE and Provenza's new 'romance' hilarious, the glances amonst the other team members. One said "show her your old interviews" and he goes "the John Wilkes Booth one":lol: he's much older then her. And then Brenda said at one point "If we stop lying to each other, how would we ever get to the truth":guffaw: Once again Brenda got the rat who did this, killed the gay guy the step-father was in it up to his neck. and the boss who hired them both opted him. The end where Brenda gave the drug $$$$ to his roomate partner was cool:bolian:
 
This show is amazing and Brenda is extrodinary, breathtaking. The case of a former drug addict, who had turned his life around and was working for the priest and his parish. He was shot, and nobody knew why or by who. Of course Brenda in her trememdous style, dug and found it was a cruel accident. How she brought in the two low-lifes responsible for a possible car-jacking and the man who they acosted shot at them and a bullet went awry and killed the guy. Many other twists and turns but always riveting and interesting.. great show:thumbsup:
 
It's a family tiem on THE CLOSER. Kyra Sedgwick's 17-yr. old daughter Sosie Bacon, will join the TNT drama in a recurring role as Brenda's niece, Charlie, for a 4-episode arc beginning August 3, Brenda's mom brings Charlie to L.A. to stay with Brenda and Fritz for the summer, and the teen ends up in big trouble

I swear before Holy God, that was probably the funniest episode Ever of the Closer.

Dick Tracy, Pope being "Just one of the Guys," Brenda Leigh having his back when he's had hers so many times, "Our Lady of the Screams," Sanchez and his....knowledge....and Flynn and Provenza's interraction was just hysterical!

Just beautiful.
 
I agree, hilarious,:guffaw: great writers, and the nut-job Dick Tracy, so off-the-wall. Brenda is so magnificent and the whole team + her boss so embarassed by being duped. The total slimeball Intrigue, so sleazy and his boss killed him, who knew. A sensational great episode. And it's the #1 show on cable, Kyra Sedgwick, so great in this role ya' all:rommie:

Congratulations to Kyra Sedgwick on her nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Drama. She is up against some tough competition. Hope she does well on the Emmy Awards show.
