Thanks so much for the banner wibbs and for organizing all of this. Sooty and Sweep would like to thank everyone. ;)

Texture was hard indeed - for some reason, I just thought of animal fur. Maybe because I had a cat on my desk at the time! She likes sharing my keyboard with me.

Congratulations to all of the winners! Bev, great job on getting first place. Lovely photo. :) Luce, your photo was very unique and really well done. Pass on my congrats to your cats. :D Elsie, wonderful job as well! Yours was one of my favs. :)

Trust me to fall at the final hurdle! Still, I'm actually chuffed that I got past the first round - especially against such talented photographers! Well done all!

I still really surprised that the cheap digital camera and I made it so far! There were a couple of rounds where I came very close to going out...

Oh, and I love Sooty and Sweep, they're so cute. I thought of fur too but my pretties were having none of it! :lol:

Lol, I know what you mean - and thanks! If they are looking very cute, I sneak off to get my camera and then they usually move. :rolleyes: They are definitely camera shy. Also, black cats are so difficult to photograph, in that their fur tends to look shiny. I know someone mentioned about the photo being too dark, but if I had lightened the shot, you get a glare off the fur.

Btw, that was a lovely landscape shot Elsie. May I ask where it was taken? :)

WOW! I can't believe it. I never dreamed I would get this far; much less take first.

Everyone did a fantastic job! There are some wonderful photographers out there in TalkCSI land. Keep up the good work.

I ran out of time to take a new pic for the challenge so that is one I took last summer at a vineyard in Tuscany. It was a really beautiful place and the wine was great too. :D

And yes, my cats also move the second I get out the camera...My two photograph quite well because they are tabbies but my old cat, Carrow, who lives with my Mum, is black and I can never get a good picture of her. :lol: I thought your photograph was great Lucy. And Bev I really liked yours too, it was very interesting and worked really well. :)
