A new year, and new ideas...
So how about we do an LPS (Last Photographer Standing)? This is a competition using the same rules as a LIMS (Last Icon-Maker Standing) competition, where I pick a theme for each round, each participant submits a photo relating to that theme, and then posters vote for the 3 least quality photos and give reasons why.
Each round, the 2 participants with the most number of votes are eliminated. The objective of this LPS is to try and improve your photography skills through other people’s constructive criticism during voting. For example, things that might be commented on include 3 main areas:
- Composition
- Colour
- Lighting
There will be a mod’s choice at the end of each round, and the person who took the photo will receive a special banner from me.
So yes, this is pretty much the same as a LIMS (which cofi_shot is currently running over in Fan Art), which means these rules will also apply:
- once you sign up, you’ll only be allowed one free pass, which lets you skip a round of your choice
- any member of this board will be allowed to vote
- votes will be tallied in the order you post them (1st photo = 3 points, 2nd photo = 2 points, 3rd photo = 1 point)
I’d like as many people as possible to sign up for this if they’re interested - it’ll be fun
I’d like at least 18-20 to start with so we can eliminate 2 people at each round, but if there are a lot less than this, we may just eliminate 1 participant at the end of each round.
