Talk Law & Order Here

Re: L&O TBJ Review

I know that was a great episode! I haven't seen it in forever so but it sounds like you got the gyst of it. I always felt sorry for Kincaid in that episode with the dirty judge (though she did have an attraction to older men it seems). She tried to get herself taken off the case and then she just resigned, which was pretty gutsy.

And Abby Carmicheal always had the best lines and deadpane looks I would see deliver. When McCoy was argueing loudly with another male lawyer, Abby said, "Can we dial the testosterone down a notch, Gentlemen?" Or something to that affect.

I want to watch the one coming up with Martin Short and he plays a physic.
Martin Short is not scheduled to be on Law & Order: TBJ (Trial By Jury). He will play the psycho... er... psychic on Law & Order: SVU (Special Victims Unit) this Tuesday.
That could be the show they meant, being as it is on tuesday that would be coming up.

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

Okay so as people don't get confused i am putting the Correct name of this topic back up (as it has been changed through out the 3 pages, to different titles), which tends to happen.
Please keep going this is for all FOUR (yay we have 4) of the Series.

Also i loved all the characters pretty much on the shows, though i have to admit that the behind the scenes arguing in the early days did see to make sense, at one point it was argued that it was a "mens club" (Back during the time of Ben Stone) Michael Moriarty being on there.
They say this is one of the reason's that he left the show as there were others.

Okay why i just said all that i have no clue, other then to give some more to discuss. :D
But all in all in the orginial Jerry is and will be my fav, thank you TNT for buying the repeats. :D

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

Yes, the early on it was a cast of all men. I thought that was why Kincaid and Van Buren were brought in. I thought Moriaty left because he disagreed with the politics of his character, Stone. Gosh, that was like over ten years ago wasnt it? I can't believe how long this show has been on.

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

That pretty much is one of the reasons he did quit, he didn't like the "All mens club" being broke up either, he did a good job with Kincaid but you can tell that was strained, she was more comfortable with McCoy out of the two.
I know i remember watching it when it first come on going on 15 yrs ago or is, you know what i mean lol.
I remember thinking at the time, this show is awesome, well that means it won't last long, i mean all the good shows like now were being removed and they were great shows.
So the jump to that wasn't stretching it at all.
I am just glad they didn't, i know their good through 2006 unless they get renewed again at the end of this season.
The thing is Fontana isn't a good character really, i think we had seen Jerry as briscoe for so long that fontana is like the sub that was the last chosen.
I just hope they can get him on track, making Ed the lead detective most the time, is helpping when Dennis's first ep came on Fontana was kinda leading, then i noticed thats when the ratings really dropped, but since they have Jesse's character Ed, taking the reins it seems to have gone back up the ladder.
If that makes sense at all.

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

That makes perfect sense. He's just uncharismatic. Someone said it before that he acts all high and mighty, like he couldn't give a damn about the case they were working on, or developing a general rapport with his fellow officers.

Before he started, I had read somewhere that he was "A CONFIRMED BACHELOR!" At the time I just thought he was gay, but now I really know that he's just an @$$^%#&.

Worst ADA ever? It would have to be Southerlyn. She was perfect for the video games though, you couldn't even tell the difference between her on the show and her in the game . "Is this because I'm a lesbian?!" UGH! That just made me angry LOL.

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

Oh, you are right, Southernlyn is just like she is on the video game.

Ok, this is unpopular, but I like Fontane. I have never seen a man know so MUCH about clothes (Van Buren is like, $6000 for a pair of shoes?)

I didn't know that about Stone. Why did he care about the boys club? He's considered a very difficult actor to work with, I read.

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

I read that now he's pretty difficult to work with too, what with all of his drunkenness and argumentativeness. But apparently he's getting help. That's what ya do when you're in BC LOL.

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

Well they had this news Item in which he said in 2003 that in the year 2008 he would run for President of the United States. i am sorry i can see it now "Look Ben Stone is our president" :D

Here is the article on it, "Law & Order" actor Michael Moriarty

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

......Weird. Some of that sounds like just a little bit of paranoia in that article LOL. I thought initially he had come to Canada for work but had really turned to alcohol. He was out west when he was attacked by a bunch of people at a bar and almost killed. That was apparently when he sobered up--and possibly thought of this idea, even though to a lot of people it looks like another pipe dream.

Nice how he refers to Canada as a continent, even though all of N.A is a continent--Canada is just a country on that continent...smart guy.

It's great that he's picked himself up from the argumentative alcholic he was. He is definitely an intelligent person but in doing that he's made a lot of enemies in the US, but hey, you never know.

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

*whistles theme of L&O*
Just wanted to get this up again :p

OMG! Last Friday, they showed episode (original) where that comedian had abused those boys. OMFG! It was like copy of Michael Jackson -thing!

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

I know i so thought the samething when i saw that, and saturday night (03-19-05) they re-showed the SVU ep with Alex coming back.

I still think they hyped that one to much, she didn't interact with Munch or Fin, barely anyone really, then at the end when there getting ready to party for the conviction the Agent steps in to say "They relocated her she said to say goodbye" gee how cold is that.

I thought they were going to make it something big bringing her back like that and it turned out to be so/so.

Also TBJ is suppost to reference Jerry's death in the fourth or fifth ep, now they removed his name in the third ep (Vigilante), and i didn't get to see the 4th ep (Truth or Consequences) but nothings been said about it, so if its the 5th ep (Baby Boom) that should be on March 25th.

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

Whoops. I wasn't aware that there's this little box at the bottom of the page that lets you choose what you see/don't see about the different threads. :(

Law & Order is a good show but its sad about Jerry's death. The show seems to have been on forever and gone through a LOT of characters. Oh well. It was one of the founding fathers of tv police drama. So its good.

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

Last night's SVU for us Aussies was good. I really do enjoy Fin centrics, they just don't bother to show enough of him most of the time. They just whack Fin and Munch into random events on episodes for barely a minute and then the claim that they're main characters. They could at least bother to put them into the majoraty of the storyline and actually do something rather than just appearing in the background or just being there to deliver some news.
