Talk Law & Order Here

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

I've never watched any of the Law & Order shows before but today I saw a preview for SVU and one of my favourite actors, Robert Patrick is going to be on so I'll definitely be watching it when he's on.

The lead guy in SVU looks familiar to me though. What else has he been in?

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

A few of the actors on SVU also starred in Oz.

NBC'S 'LAW & ORDER' BRAND MARKS 600TH COMBINED EPISODE

New Executive Producers Nicholas Wootton ("NYPD Blue") and Walon Green ("Law & Order: Trial By Jury") Join "Law & Order"

Marcia Gay Harden, Lynda Carter, Estella Warren, Dean Cain, Mary Stuart Masterson and Teri Garr, Among Others to Guest Star on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"

Chris Noth and Annabella Sciorra Join "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" as Alternating Series Leads

NEW YORK - September 15, 2005 - NBC's "Law & Order" brand marks an impressive milestone, celebrating its 600th combined episode - including original episodes of "Law & Order," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and "Law & Order: Trial By Jury" - on Wednesday, October 5. This achievement commemorates over fifteen years of compelling, award-winning criminal justice programming that draws its inspiration from the real-world cases topping the headlines.

"Law & Order," the second longest running drama in the history of television, enters its 16th season on Wednesday, September 21 at 10-11 p.m. ET, with "Red Ball," a powerful episode penned by new executive producer Nicholas Wootton ("NYPD Blue"). With the look and feel of a classic "Law & Order" episode plus a contemporary, multi-faceted plot and challenging moral dilemmas, Wootton's opener makes good on his promise to "bring it back to the era when it was at its most fantastic." The premiere episode is also the first collaboration of Wootton and "Law & Order" veteran producer Walon Green ("Law & Order: Trial by Jury"), who re-joins the series as executive producer this season.

On the heels of its sixth and highest-rated season to date, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" returns on Tuesday, September 20 at 10-11 p.m. ET, to the timeslot it dominated last season. With a succession of powerful episodes touching on hot-button social issues, "SVU" features an impressive array of guest stars including: Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden ("Mystic River"), Lynda Carter ("The Dukes of Hazzard"), Estella Warren ("Her Minor Thing"), Dean Cain ("The Perfect Husband: The Laci Peterson Story"), Tony nominee Mary Stuart Masterson ("Something the Lord Made") and Teri Garr ("Mr. Mom").

Golden Globe winner and two-time Emmy nominee Mariska Hargitay and series star Christopher Meloni continue to deliver commanding performances. In "911" to air October 5 and described by executive producer Neal Baer as "the most ambitious show we've ever done," Detective Benson is the sole lifeline for a little girl held captive and it's up to her to locate the child before the predator can return. Additionally, Meloni will take center stage in a subsequent episode as Detective Stabler continues to grapple with his suppressed rage. "We're going to find out what's under Stabler's anger and launch him on a new path," added Baer.

Entering its fifth season, the cast of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" will expand to include Chris Noth ("The Perfect Man," "Sex and the City") as Detective Mike Logan - the role he portrayed in the original series from 1990 to 1995 - and Annabella Sciorra ("The Sopranos") as Detective Carolyn Barek, a brilliant criminal profiler, as alternating series leads. The pair joins long-time partners Detective Robert Green (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Detective Alexandra Eames (Kathryn Erbe) and will split the caseloads, each team fronting eleven episodes this season. "It'll be more testosterone that you can shake a housewife at," said executive producer Rene Balcer.

Detective Logan (Noth) will be introduced as part of the Major Case Squad during the season premiere episode also guest-starring Olivia D'Abo as Nicole Wallace, Detective Goren's nemesis who returns once again in the midst of a drug-related murder. Detective Logan will be joined by his partner Detective Barek (Sciorra) for their first full episode the following Sunday, October 2 at 9-10 p.m. ET.

Yep "Christopher Meloni (Det. Stabler)" and "Dean Winters (Formerly Det. Cassidy)" that i know about.

Christopher mentioned i believe on his official website that he would be taping both shows on the same day, basically go to work on one set, then leave and head right to work on the other set.

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

Criminal Intent

Oooohhhh, Annabella Sciorra becomes Logan's partner? I like that!!

And I see Nicole Wallace returns. But I thought she died? Or am I confusing that with someone else?

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

Nope your not confused, see what happened is NBC let the fans vote her fate when she disappeared, the choices were to kill her off or not to kill her off.

The fans voting keep Nicole on the show, so her body was never found, and her case remains unsolved, and putting her back at Goren having more fun when she guest stars. :D

I like the fact that they don't have Goren and Eames carrying the show so much that had to be hard on them, i mean it effected Vincents health, and Kathryn probably would like to see her baby before it graduates lol.

Us Aussies voted her to die. so i don't know how a follow-up ep will work for us but... i'm sure a lot of us will be confuzzled.

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

Not sure, i voted for the death one to, but if it goes by online in the U.S votes then she will live.
I just don't like when they over use a character, though she is a great challenge for "Goren" sometimes after a while the challenge kind of goes out of it and if they ever did kill off the character or writer her completely out the fans are just left wondering if/when she will be returning.

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

Hmm, I actually voted for Nicole to live, so I was pretty peeved when she didn’t. I know a lot of people didn’t like her, but I did simply because she got under Goren’s skin, and – not to be mean – I like to see him squirm from time to time. On a random note, though, if I had to be interrogated by Goren, I’d probably go off the deep end.

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

Here is the catch in the season 4 ep "Great Barrier",
in Australia 59% voted death and 53% voted to live, i believe was the outcome.

But as cat stated how does this get worked? because in the usa the results turned out for her to live.

Not sure this is really a spoiler but in Ep 5.1 "Grow"
Goran is confronted again by Nicole Wallace.

If this was considered a spoiler i sincerely apologise.

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

Congratulation to S. Epatha Merkerson (Lieutenant Anita Van Buren), who won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie for "Lackawanna Blues."

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

I SWEAR THIS ISN'T A SPOILER!!!

I just saw the season starter for Law&Order: SVU. Yay!! The coroner lady (whose characters name I have forgotten because my brain retains nothing) is now on the opening credits!!!

And the season starter is fabulous, just very Stabler oriented. And its got a well-knownish guest actor!!!

Now I'll shut up until someone else has seen it :)

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

Besides the well-knownish guest actor, Robert Walden played Dorsey, the cop who let Stabler know who the perp is. Haven't seen Walden much since his role on Lou Grant, even though he has been on lots of series and films.

Tamara Tunie plays Dr. Warner the M.E.
I agree this was really a great controlled preformance, i would have to say that alternating back and fouth between "L&O SVU" and "Oz" gave him the extra control necessary to play this role.

I hate that they separated him from his family but in a way he could never have pulled off this undercover job and so well if they hadn't, it really makes it interesting.

I would give this premiere five stars.

Can't wait till tomorrow, (glad i have grave danger on tape) cause its the season premiere of L&O the orginial.

But next week (According to the after show advertisment for svu) its going to be awesome, starting on svu, then ending on the orginial.
I just wish they could arrange it so that it starts out on say CI, then continues to SVU then to the orginials, or however and have the actors doing the cross overs.

Re: Talk Law & Order Here.

I watch all the Law and Orders. I adore them all, but there is a special place in my heart for Lennie. I'm so sad he's dead.
