Re: Survivor? We Call It Camping - Canadian Thread #5 lol...if that were to happen, I'd definitely watch, but more so just to laugh. Instead of canoing or hiking, they could use dog sleds and snowshoes. Bundle up in about 7 layers, and then they'd have an excuse to cuddling up at night to keep warm...cause its really that damn cold! Then the nastiest of snow storms would hit......just to complete the package and boost the ratings...lol!
Re: Survivor? We Call It Camping - Canadian Thread #5 Now that would be a show worth watching. Even surviving a winter here in Toronto with all the slush and such would make it interesting  shoveling all that snow we get. Ok I know some of you get more snow than we do. If Nunavut doesn't work send them to Edmonton or Winnipeg in the winter
Re: Survivor? We Call It Camping - Canadian Thread #5 The first thing they should do is have to "canoe" out somewhere using an ice flow to retrieve their clothing, while keeping an eye out for Fluffy the the mother polar bear who lives near by. And rather than voting people off we just take the term survivor literally... well ok not that.
Re: Survivor? We Call It Camping - Canadian Thread #5 we get some wild weather in the winter months, here in Newfoundland as well....... some places here get it worse though.....check this out after the storm 2003
Re: Survivor? We Call It Camping - Canadian Thread #5 Whoa, i don't think i could handle that much snow! I have always wanted a survivor in a cold place, but CBS probably thinks if there isn't any girls in bikinis, then people won't watch  on another note, having too much wine isn't good for studying...whoops.
Re: Survivor? We Call It Camping - Canadian Thread #5 I just have to come in here again and say I love the thread title. And that I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. lmao. I'd watch that! And they'd have to make igloos to survive instead of huts. ...that's true. lol. And what is with the weather here in Ontario. It's October, this time last year it was snowing, yet it's like 27 degrees here. Global warming people!
Re: Survivor? We Call It Camping - Canadian Thread #5  instead of being cast off the island, they could just be cast off on an ice pan! We had a very crappy summer and a crappier fall thus far on this end. Our weather and temperatures have jumped all over the the place for, I can't remember when, but it seems like forever and a day...and word has it that our winter is going to be a bad one this year...makes me wanna move south till May...
Re: Survivor? We Call It Camping - Canadian Thread #5 Ohhh man! I like my snow but geeze....I dont think I can handel that much lol need snow shoes just to take the trash out  Those survival shows are stupid, I've been on an island were you only have power from 6pm to 6am then it gets turned off and absolutly no hot water, ever. The adventures of Thailand  I've done survival China the real way!
Re: Survivor? We Call It Camping - Canadian Thread #5 Manitoba gets a lot of snow too  November 2006 And let's not forget May 2004 Huge snowstorm! That wasn't nice. But I did make my friend go play with me in the snow because she was too stressed out about her exam
Re: Survivor? We Call It Camping - Canadian Thread #5 I would cry. I don't remember this but when was the last time the GTA got a lot of snow? Anyone know?
Re: Survivor? We Call It Camping - Canadian Thread #5 WhosLaughingNow are you forgetting the year Mel Lastman called in the army because of the snow I think it was 1999 or it could have been 2000. There was a lot of snow in Toronto and the further north you went the less snow there was.
Re: Survivor? We Call It Camping - Canadian Thread #5 Or last February was pretty bad. They called off school on Valentine's Day. Remember that ice storm in '03? That was a nightmare. Back then I had a paper route, and it was a Friday, I remember it vividly, and I had to deliever the papers (it wasn't a daily paper), but I could BARELY MOVE. There was ice EVERYWHERE. It took me twice as long as it usually does to deliever the papers.
Re: Survivor? We Call It Camping - Canadian Thread #5 Every year in Guelph there is a bad freezing rain storm, and they NEVER close the university. It is so dangerous...especially since we have to walk outside to get anywhere on campus.
Re: Survivor? We Call It Camping - Canadian Thread #5 I remember now, they sent us home from school And it was in fact in 1999
Re: Survivor? We Call It Camping - Canadian Thread #5 They close schools in Canada because of snow? It's never done here I was highly annoyed last winter when it snowed some 2ft and two days later we had forestry and it was -25c and we went to forest with chainshaws to practise..cutting the trees (the biggest trees) it was fun Ice storms are something what we've never had and I'd be scared
