Survivor? We Call It Camping ~ Canadian Thread #5

Re: Canadian Thread #5

I agree with you on that one. I don't think I've seen the weather so warm this time of year. BBQ turkey here we come :) but seriously it's scary how dry this summer was and how dry the fall has been so far. We have a wetlands at the end of our street and it dried up this summer. In the spring we usually get geese and Mallard ducks there. If we don't get any snow to replenish the water I think we may be out of luck in the spring :( I hate to think what Old Man Winter is going to be like.

Re: Canadian Thread #5

EllaJ I certainly don't want freezing temps but something near seasonal would be good. The normal temp for the Toronto area this time of year is 15. Today it will be 25. Oh yea we get the smog and the humidity to go with it

Re: Canadian Thread #5

Well, right now the weather's kinda crappy outside, but yeah, yesterday felt like summer. I'd love to see the looks on the faces of any Americans that were to come up here now. ;)

Personally Im just looking forward to Hockey! My familys never been big on the hole dinner, get together thing and if we did do the dinner I can just imagine how awful it would be lol so my quote for the next few days is "Bring on the hockey!"

Oh I love that idea! Actually other than the turkey dinner on Sunday, that's the plan! As for the weather, it's not too bad in Alberta, perfect fall weather.

Re: Canadian Thread #5

ok, it is really hard to do homework with the smell of turkey in the air...mmmmmmmm

Happy Thanksgiving!

Re: Canadian Thread #5

Erm, any firm thoughts on what the title you'd like to be yet? I can see which is the favourite in the poll, but I was wondering how long you want people to continue voting?... :)

Re: Canadian Thread #5

I think we can go with the winner now. We can always use the runner ups for the next thread ;)

Re: Canadian Thread #5

I agree with xfcanadian. The poll has been up for over a week now.

Re: Canadian Thread #5

Welcome Kayleen! Hope you enjoy it here.

My family traditionally has their turkey dinner on sunday. Unfortunately, I haven't had a very good day. I woke up with a terrible headache, which lead to a bad day at work. Then I got home to discover that my Great Aunt died last night.

So, here's hoping that you all have a better Turkey Day than I did.

Also, I suppose we can change the name of the thread now :p

Re: Canadian Thread #5

DrangonflyDreamer,
Thank you for the Welcome. I'm loveing this place! Everyone seems so friendly. Im so sorry to hear about you Great Aunt, on top of your already bad day. My thoughts are with you and your family. Unfortunatly, I guess these are the things that make us realize what to be thankful for...

Re: Canadian Thread #5

I agree, think its time we change this thread from just canadians to one of those good names.lol

Happy Thanksgiving y'all :D

Re: Canadian Thread #5

Happy Thanksgiving day everyone :)

DragonflyDreamer sorry about your Great Aunt :(

Kayleen welcome to the Canadian Thread :) Where abouts in Ontario are you. I live in Markham :)

When I was living at home my family would always celebrate Thanksgiving on Sunday. For years I always thought that that was the actual holiday day. My hubby and I now usually have a roast beef and Yorkshire pudding on Monday to celebrate Thanksgiving :) For jsut 2 people a turkey is too much.
