I think I would rather stick with Beavertails than Poutine. Just the though of fries, gravy and cheese is so yuck! I worked in a Burger King once and seeing it served and then eaten is just so yuck! Sorry.

Ew. I lived off of Harvey's poutine for a month in school. It's not everyday you actually wonder "Is this the poutine that will kill me". Never again! It didn't help that it tasted like blah.

i know ive seen sayings on t-shirts that said 'canadians do it better in a tent' and 'save a horse, ride a mountie' but those probably wouldnt go over too well either...

What about 'We do it better in a canoe'. More of a challenge then a tent. But I'm sure this one might not go over well either :p

I have another title

'Survivor? We call it camping'

I like 'Stealing Hollywood One Location At a Time'

Re: Canadian Thread #5

Who would ever have thought that we would have such varying ideas for a slogan :) Another idea is from a long ago Red Rose Tea commercial 'Only in Canada you say. Pity!'

I did like 'Just a Bunch of Loonies' :)

LibertyBell, is your name a simpson reference, because that is what i first thought of, when i saw your name

No, actually, I rarely watch the Simpsons. Liberty is my mom's maiden name, I just decided when I was signing up that I wanted something outside of my usual forum names.

Btw, I like the loonie one too. :)

Ah...I've been gone far too long. I'm liking the "just a bunch of Loonies" and the "'Survivor'? We Call it camping" titles. The others are really good too though :)

So then, how do we pick one?
We make a poll ;) I just picked out the ones that seemed the most popular. I hope I didn't miss any.

Re: Canadian Thread #5

Wow....that was tough, there are a few of those that would fit really well.

Is anyone else looking forward to the long weekend?? Mine's going to be busy but hopefully filled with family, friends, turkey, and shopping. Oh and that other Canadian tradition....Hockey Night in Canada

Re: Canadian Thread #5

I'm looking forward to the weekend but my long weekend won't start until Sunday. My hubby and I are working in the store this Saturday but we both have Tuesday off. So we get three days but jsut not you usual ones :) I don't know yet what we are doing with regards to dinner it may be with the in-laws or it could just be us and the cats :) Either way it will be relaxing.

Re: Canadian Thread #5

Personally Im just looking forward to Hockey! My familys never been big on the hole dinner, get together thing and if we did do the dinner I can just imagine how awful it would be lol so my quote for the next few days is "Bring on the hockey!"

Re: Canadian Thread #5

Well, Thanksgiving is my favourite holiday, so of course I'm looking forward to it, but unfortunately we're doing the big dinner thing Sunday, not Monday, because of relatives that don't live very close and all. So that kinda sucks. But hey, there's always turkey sandwiches on Monday. :)

Re: Canadian Thread #5

When I was growing up we always did the Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday. I have know idea why but I think my parents still do the dinner on Sunday. I haven't been to them in a long time due to my hubby's dietary issues.

Re: Canadian Thread #5

i think we are going to be having this turkey outside!! Everyone in Ontario is celebrating global warming right now....
