I can't for the life of me understand where they'd go with it anyway-- that is if she's redeemed & still on the show. She steals pills, takes them for her injury we suspect, she get's caught, & is fired (so we assume) - ok, what next? Sure, I could see one of our main characters having ongoing issues trying to kick a drug habit, but I couldn't see it with the ME, especially one who is that new to the viewers.

Then Kyle becomes our new ME...

& here we thought they couldn't get any more "Doogie Howser" with having Tara as our ME.

 I'm still hoping they'll either bring Alexx back or bring in a new female ME thats around Alexx's age and she could only be recurring (like Doc on CSI was for years before added to the opening credits and Sid on NY as well) for a couple of seasons and she could be Frank's gf. The guy seriously needs a gf. This week's episode clearly proved that.

Thank you so much for the article Wasabi

Tara running for her pills :guffaw:. Sorry, but whenever I think of her, I think this is how will end since she's supposed, as far as I understood, to take those pills b/c of her previous injured shoulder & yeah I have a shoulder injury.... great!!!

Hmm I knew there was going to be an explosion, but I really hoped it was going to be in the lab or in PD & not in the morgue. Well I can always hope there's gonna be a third one

Anyway since TPTB wanted to bring back Alexx as a recurring character, they may have thought "oh well we can fire Tara so that Alexx has to come back to her beloved morgue b/c she loooooooves dead people. She can't deny it".
I think this was their first step to bring back Kandhi. Now I'd laugh too much knowing that Kandhi may not be available for this crazy storyline

For some reason Tara doesn't annoy me as much as Ryan did when he started so I will wait and see.I am indiferent to her at this point. My bet is that she will not be fired becouse the whole team would have to be if I apply real life rules for them.

Sounds like an action packed episode which is what Miami does best.

It's different for Tara because she has a medical license. Stetler and the IAB may not have as much say as the medical board does with this matter. So, if the medical board revokes her license (for basically placing harm on someone with a medical disorder by indicating that they committed a crime they didn't committ), then she wouldn't be able to work as a ME anymore.

^ Doctors get away with a lot of stuff on TV.I personally hate it but the producers will do what they want regardless of logic.

Me? I think it's gonna be one of those times where, she gets in trouble, suffers a bit then will be able to work again under circumstances. I don't want to see her go, and the scene I can't wait for is the one with Ryan, Stet and her. That's gonna be AWESOME!

I don't think she's going to be fired. She'll get a slap on the wrists and then be back.

C.H.E.A.R I agree,cannot wait for that scene!!

And maybe have to get help if she's addicted?

That makes three of us. Love it when Ryan is authoritative:)

Not only the fact that she's stealing the pills, but the fact that she basically pointed the finger at someone else. I've said it before, but given who it was she pointed the finger at and the fact that that person has a medical disorder should be grounds for Tara losing her medical license.

I forgot about that. Wasn't it Julia that she basically pointed a finger at?

Yeah, I'll be peeved too if Tara is redeemed after this. It'd be one thing if she was just abusing her own prescription pills, but the fact that she's stealing them... that's another thing altogether. Like she couldn't afford to get her own pain meds from her own doc? I'm sure they'd give her some if she aggrivated an old injury.

Actually, I believe a mention was made to an old injury in Divorce Party and I think it was Ryan mentioned it. Why wouldn't she just go to a doctor if it flared up again? I had a thought; maybe she has had a problem in the past with prescription pills (for the injury) and can't get them above board. Just a thought.

^ Even if you have a prescription,if you are abusing the drug, you can only get so much.If your prescription is for 30 pills and you take them all over a 2 day period, there will be questions.A doctor is only going to write a precription for a certain amount and a certain number of refills.

Yeah, it was Julia who suffers from bi-polar disorder. If they don't fire Tara permanently for this, I will be peeved. I have some family members who suffer from this disorder. It's no laughing matter... and if the writers let Tara get away with blaming someone with bi-polar disorder, I'm going to be beyond mad cause I'll just think about what if that was my family member. I won't be happy. :( and I will: :scream: I will just feel like they are sweeping it under the rug and not caring about the fact that she broke that doctors code of ethics. It will feel a little like (to me) that they are making fun of that disorder. Like "oh, blame it on the bi-polar person and no one will care". That will make me angry. I don't care for Julia anymore than most of the fans do, but she's still a person who suffers from something that isn't fun to have and its a disorder that shouldn't be made light of or made fun of.

Yeah, I know she aggrivated an old injury, so I don't understand why she wouldn't go to a doctor to get pills instead of stealing them. Unless she's a kleptomaniac or something. Which is another disorder all in itself. If she had an injury that requires pain medication to ease symptoms, even if she had pill problems in the past, I would think that a doc could give her something with a low dosage and in a smaller quantity to last a little while. I'm not saying they should have given her Vicodin or anything that strong, but... something low-dose.

Yeah, but she was stealing them the same day/week after aggrivating the injury. She could have gotten some from her doctor and took those before stealing some.

The fact of the matter is, Tara is new and should NOT be getting her own storyline this soon. She's not the main character (unlike Ray on Vegas) and with her being so new, she shouldn't yet be getting her own story arc this soon. The fact that she is just makes me think it's possibly because she's not staying on the show.

Sometimes shows have been known to put someone in the opening credits for only one season (wasn't Sofia Curtis only in the opening credits of Vegas for one season?). And there was even one show (I can't think of what show offhand, it was a long time ago lol) that put a character in the opening credits for one season and killed him off (I'm pretty sure it was a male character) at the end of that season. So, it's highly possible that Miami did this with Tara only to have her leave at the end of the season.

Personally, I just hope they don't give her just a slap on the wrist. If Ryan got fired for gambling on the job, Tara should definitely be fired for what she did (which by the way is far worse with the blaming Julia part and her being a doctor and is basically breaking the hypocratical oath or whatever).

I have to admit, I believed Tara when she put the blame on Julia, until we saw her with the pills. But it's very funny to me that she blamed her, such a smart ass! HAHA! I just can't hate Tara, no matter how bad this is. Well as the episode nears, I think we'll get more spoilers to live on...speaking of which I hadn't a new spoiler in a while.

DELKOLOVER spoil me please!

Compared to Alex, Tara is a pill. She's way to uptight for me. You'd think they'd have someone similar to Alex's personality but then people would probably complain that her character is copying Alex.

I don't hate Tara, but I don't much care for her either. She hasn't outstanded me in a good way yet, that's all.
-shruggles-

I think that article was really interesting. It at least proves that Tara actually has an addiction is not stealing them for someone else. I wonder if Kyle will be present during the explosion in the morgue? I can imagine Daddy!H would be pretty peeved if he found out that instead of looking for his son, Dr. Price was looking for her stash. Could be an interesting storyline.

I can't imagine that Tara wouldn't get fired for this. It's one thing to break the rules, but this is an addiction. She needs to get help and get a job that is not in public service. I'm a little disappointed. I kind of liked Tara.

There really isn't much to spoiler everyone with!! I mean I posted, well Audrey2419 posted the spoilers for me for the finale so we are pretty much done for the rest of the season unless something changes. And so far nothing has; believe me, I check almost everyday but I think most of the guest characters have been cast b/c the finale is set to go before cameras next week...so I doubt we will see any changes or new spoilers.

All I know where Tara is concerned is that she is confronted by Stetler and Ryan, he is the one to find the pills in her locker, and then the last we see of her in that ep is her being escorted out of the lab and into the elevator....ya know the usual "walk of shame." And from the spoilers I saw for the finale, she wasn't anywhere to be seen...that doesn't mean anything b/c I don't see everything, it just means that we don't know what her eventual outcome with that situation is via the spoilers.

Oh and on a side note, I know that everyone was talking about Brian Austin Green making a guest spot in the finale and there was talk about him being killed off of the Terminator series, or not really being killed off but it seems to be a moot point now b/c Entertainment Weekly has just reported that FOX has cancelled the show!
