Wasn't it Julia that she basically pointed a finger at?
Yeah, it was Julia who suffers from bi-polar disorder. If they don't fire Tara permanently for this, I will be peeved. I have some family members who suffer from this disorder. It's no laughing matter... and if the writers let Tara get away with blaming someone with bi-polar disorder, I'm going to be beyond mad cause I'll just think about what if that was my family member. I won't be happy.
and I will: :scream: I will just feel like they are sweeping it under the rug and not caring about the fact that she broke that doctors code of ethics. It will feel a little like (to me) that they are making fun of that disorder. Like "oh, blame it on the bi-polar person and no one will care". That will make me angry. I don't care for Julia anymore than most of the fans do, but she's still a person who suffers from something that isn't fun to have and its a disorder that shouldn't be made light of or made fun of.
Actually, I believe a mention was made to an old injury in Divorce Party and I think it was Ryan mentioned it. Why wouldn't she just go to a doctor if it flared up again? I had a thought; maybe she has had a problem in the past with prescription pills (for the injury) and can't get them above board. Just a thought.
Yeah, I know she aggrivated an old injury, so I don't understand why she wouldn't go to a doctor to get pills instead of stealing them. Unless she's a kleptomaniac or something. Which is another disorder all in itself. If she had an injury that requires pain medication to ease symptoms, even if she had pill problems in the past, I would think that a doc could give her something with a low dosage and in a smaller quantity to last a little while. I'm not saying they should have given her Vicodin or anything that strong, but... something low-dose.
^ Even if you have a prescription,if you are abusing the drug, you can only get so much.If your prescription is for 30 pills and you take them all over a 2 day period, there will be questions.A doctor is only going to write a precription for a certain amount and a certain number of refills.
Yeah, but she was stealing them the same day/week after aggrivating the injury. She could have gotten some from her doctor and took those before stealing some.
The fact of the matter is, Tara is new and should NOT be getting her own storyline this soon. She's not the main character (unlike Ray on Vegas) and with her being so new, she shouldn't yet be getting her own story arc this soon. The fact that she is just makes me think it's possibly because she's not staying on the show.
Sometimes shows have been known to put someone in the opening credits for only one season (wasn't Sofia Curtis only in the opening credits of Vegas for one season?). And there was even one show (I can't think of what show offhand, it was a long time ago lol) that put a character in the opening credits for one season and killed him off (I'm pretty sure it was a male character) at the end of that season. So, it's highly possible that Miami did this with Tara only to have her leave at the end of the season.
Personally, I just hope they don't give her just a slap on the wrist. If Ryan got fired for gambling on the job, Tara should definitely be fired for what she did (which by the way is far worse with the blaming Julia part and her being a doctor and is basically breaking the hypocratical oath or whatever).
