There really isn't much to spoiler everyone with!! I mean I posted, well Audrey2419 posted the spoilers for me for the finale so we are pretty much done for the rest of the season unless something changes. And so far nothing has; believe me, I check almost everyday but I think most of the guest characters have been cast b/c the finale is set to go before cameras next week...so I doubt we will see any changes or new spoilers.

All I know where Tara is concerned is that she is confronted by Stetler and Ryan, he is the one to find the pills in her locker, and then the last we see of her in that ep is her being escorted out of the lab and into the elevator....ya know the usual "walk of shame." And from the spoilers I saw for the finale, she wasn't anywhere to be seen...that doesn't mean anything b/c I don't see everything, it just means that we don't know what her eventual outcome with that situation is via the spoilers.

Oh and on a side note, I know that everyone was talking about Brian Austin Green making a guest spot in the finale and there was talk about him being killed off of the Terminator series, or not really being killed off but it seems to be a moot point now b/c Entertainment Weekly has just reported that FOX has cancelled the show!

Do you know if Ryan is present during the explosion in the morgue?
;]
God, I'm just thinking about what I'm going to do this summer with no CSI: Miami. Arggg! I guess I'll just write fanfics.

I guess I'll be reading fanfic(as well as other reading.)
It's hard to belive we are almost at the end of the season.

Yes. Ryan, as seen in the spoilers and the TV Guide magazine is in the morgue when the grenade goes off.

Yeah it is definately going to be a loooong summer....I am really just hoping that we don't get another cliff hanger season finale. Last year's was not that great and it would just make the summer go that much slower if we got another one!

I thought that was him, but some others didn't think so. Okay, thanks

I don't hate Tara, but I don't much care for her either. She hasn't outstanded me in a good way yet, that's all.
-shruggles-

Agreed. I don't hate her character but I haven't warmed up to her either, especially since she blamed Julia for something she did. I am looking forward to the upcoming episodes. I'm glad she gets caught.

I think that article was really interesting. It at least proves that Tara actually has an addiction is not stealing them for someone else. I wonder if Kyle will be present during the explosion in the morgue? I can imagine Daddy!H would be pretty peeved if he found out that instead of looking for his son, Dr. Price was looking for her stash. Could be an interesting storyline.

I can't imagine that Tara wouldn't get fired for this. It's one thing to break the rules, but this is an addiction. She needs to get help and get a job that is not in public service.

yeah, it's kind of like what Cal said to Cooper: "Ryan broke protocol, you broke the law". There's a big difference from breaking protocol (gambling on the job) and breaking the law (stealing- just exactly what Cooper did-stealing Speed's credit card and using it- now Tara is stealing from dead people too!). If Coop lost his job over it, so should Tara.

Aww... my bro will be upset. :( According to the tv guide though, they did kill Derek off, but then John went to the future and Derek was alive there or something... so they killed him, but they didn't.

The fact of the matter is, Tara is new and should NOT be getting her own storyline this soon. She's not the main character (unlike Ray on Vegas) and with her being so new, she shouldn't yet be getting her own story arc this soon. The fact that she is just makes me think it's possibly because she's not staying on the show.

Makes sense to me. Even if Alexx doesn't come back, they could either not feature an ME or they could do as they are on Bones and look for another one by going through different candidates.

Personally, I just hope they don't give her just a slap on the wrist. If Ryan got fired for gambling on the job, Tara should definitely be fired for what she did (which by the way is far worse with the blaming Julia part and her being a doctor and is basically breaking the hypocratical oath or whatever).

My point exactly. Ryan has a gambling addiction but never stole from anyone, and never blamed anyone else.

That is probably the reason Ryan got the opportunity to work to get his job back. Good post!!:bolian:

You since I read Delkolover's post, I've been thinking that since Corey Miller left the show we haven't gotten any spoilers since then. Hmm, that's weird..........COME BACK COREY!:( I miss him already. I bet Dead On Arrival is gonna be a blast, anyone with me on that one!

We should celebrate his last epi on the show shouldn't we? Oh pop champange, we pop champange oh...

Very good point!! I had almost forgotten about Cooper's incident & the comparison. You're right though - I don't see how Tara could get out of this one.

As far as Khandi/Alexx returning, I won't get my hopes up since she does have other commitments. It'd be nice, but Im not so sure it's going to happen - my bet would be that if Tara is a gonner that it'll just be Kyle in the morgue & we'll have a "faceless" ME.
In the last episode, Tara didn't really do much more than Kyle while working on the body, so it isn't that hard for me to imagine.

Tara hasn't really done a whole lot in any episode, or at least she hasn't been seen doing a lot (which is fine with me... the autospy scenes are always gross anyway lol). They always showed Alexx doing several different steps in an autopsy. They don't do that with Tara.

Alexx's character just had a lot more depth and compassion. Tara has been really a one dimensional character all season. IMO there really hasn't been any opportunity for the fans to get to know her or embrace her. Alexx interacted better with the other characters as sort of a mother figure and a truly caring doctor. You could tell she cared about the victim even though they were dead. She often said they (M.E.'s) were the last voice of the victim..or something to that affect.

The only thing we have gotten from Tara this season is that she is a straight forward type of person who really doesn't seem to show any compassion to the victim. She is very methodical and to the point. From the beginning I have felt that she has had a chip on her shoulder. She is almost cold.

Yeah I totally agree. She is breaking alot of laws not just protocol. She is stealing, abusing a controlled substance and she pretty much went as far as to frame someone else for her misdeads....not exactly someone I could see getting her job back once she has gotten clean! Not do I want another storyline where someone has been fired and then able to get their job back. How many times are we going to go through that?

Personally I wouldn't really miss her. As I said above, we really never got the chance to get to know her but the writers didn't exactly go out of their way to let us get to know her either.

If Megan E is leaving the show, I think it could be for 2 reasons:

1) the salary freeze that CBS was threatening to impliment, don't know if they actually went through with it but just the notion, maybe has forced TPTB to drop a character in order to save money for the rest of the cast and the overall budget. It is possible TPTB are being pre-emptive b/c even if the freeze doesn't go through, money allottment for the show may be decreased anyway.

and/or

2) the TPTB just began to realize, as the season went on that she (Megan) was just not a fit for the show...chemistry wise. She probably signed a 1 year contract, so they just let it play out and this upcoming story might be their way of writing her off the show.

I personally think though, it is more the latter than the former b/c I really don't feel like she fits in with this show...not necessarily the cast, the show in general. Remember LV interviewed Kati Sackoff in the offseason to replace Jorja Fox and they were all gung ho about her joinging the show until she read for them and they realized she just wasn't a "fit" for the role or the show.

I actually have enjoyed the interactions between Tara and the others. She didn't appreciate the guys' prank with the DB and let them know in spades. Would Alexx have tollerated it? Nope. She'd have given them a tongue lashing that they'd still be smarting over.

She showed real compassion and concern over Calleigh's health in "Smoke" but was easily brushed aside by Calleigh's ever present "I'm fine". Alexx wouldn't have been fooled and would have insisted on listening to Calleigh's lungs over heated protests. But Tara doesn't know Calleigh all that well and could be brushed off.

The guys' interactions with her are really pretty good. She's forgiven their "immature" prank and has developed a decent relationship with Ryan. Eric, much less than that. He's had less contact with her this season.

I'm still willing to believe that Tara can be intergrated into the cast and since we haven't heard any spoilers about the actress not retutning, I really don't think Tara is going anywhere.

I totally agree with you on this.

I've always enjoyed her character just b/c of a reason: she's different from Alexx & she has a completely different ida of M.E. job.
While Alexx said more than once she was the last voice dead people could hear, Tara is a normal M.E. who just wants to discover what happened to the cadaver.

Alexx had such a human side that sometimes we couldn't see with the other character or the rest of the episode. I mean look at the episodes, they were all concerned about solving the case & they never cared for the victim. Alexx was the only one to care about them, she was their voice!!! She was the human side of the show.

Right now there's way too space given to thi side of the show & in order to remain still a scientific crime drama, they do need the scientific part of it. She's that part & to me it is as good as it was having Alexx in the moruge.

As for her interactions with the other characters I do think they have always been quite good & it is a good thing considering that she has to be completely different from Alexx.
Why she may have never had a mother attitutde, but she has always been a human being who cared about the others.

I have enjoyed her interactions with both Eric & Ryan b/c while she always seemed to be mad at them b/c of their prank, she has always been professional & she's has always had a good professional relationship with both of them.

Her scenes with H are always good to me b/c she always showed a lot of respect towards her boss (except for the drug storyline :p) & it was genuine especially if you consider that she's been in this morgue for a very short amount of time.

As for her scenes with Caleligh. Well I have to say that I always enjoyed them. They're both young but they have a great amount of respect for eachothers.
When Calleigh went to visit her after the infamous prank, there was a a genuine concern from Calleigh & Tara did react quite good to her.

And of course, Tara couldn't do anything more than she actually did in "Smoke Gets in Your CSIs". Being a doctor she understood immediatly that something was definetly wrong with Calleigh, but she didn't insist b/c she didn't know her enough to feel herself able to do it. When you don't know a person & you see that the person you're talking with brushes you off as she did, you won't insist.

Of course, Alexx would have had completely different reactions to all of these situation, but Alexx isn't here anymore & right now our M.E. is Tara ;)

So yeah I don't think she never had good intereactions with the other character & I don't think this is the reason TPTPB may have decided that her period had just eneded.
There may be something else we don't know about Megalynn, IDK, that lead her to leave the show, but, quite honestly, I don't think TPTB wanted to leave her out of the show just b/c she didn't fit properly in it.

And yeah we still don't know anything about Megalynn leaving the show, so it still could be that Tara will be fired for a while & maybe she'll have to recover in a rehab. IDK it just seem too soon for me to leave out an actress like her without giving her enough time so that people could learn enjoy her.

As for the storyline I stll hope that they're not her pills, but quite honestly I highly doubt it. It really looks she is a drug addict 6 yeah I don't like it especially the fact she balmed Julie, though it was a good person to balme, I must admit

Sorry for the ramble, but I thought someone had to defend this poor girl LOL

Hmm, actually today, I don't think Tara will be fired. I think she has potential to stick in the cast. So I agree on that point.

Hmm, actually today, I don't think Tara will be fired
I keep changing my mind too
The only way I could see this turning for her is if she get's supposedly fired (like "let go" but they still investigate it further) in the epi before finale, & then in the finale something else surfaces about the drugs - like maybe it involves undercover work (CI, mole) or it somehow oddly ties into the Russian Mob & then it somehow isn't really her fault or her using the drugs. Don't ask how any of that is possible, but this is Miami, ya know. So, unless this is a way to give her the boot, then I would expect it to be connected to one of the other ongoing stories, 'cause I just can't see this type of arc being just about her, especially so late in the season.

I'm still willing to believe that Tara can be intergrated into the cast and since we haven't heard any spoilers about the actress not retutning,
It's true we haven't heard anything, but then again, would we? She's new, & there's been a lot of characters on these shows that come & go without an explanation, or warning that thier contracts up & not returning.
