I had actually considered proposing that idea too Ashley, but I wasn't sure what the protocol on that was, haha. But it's a really neat idea and I'd def. be interested in participating.

I too have found myself relying on good old Amazon. They're what I like to call "Rory Haven".

you found fathers and sons? wow i can't find that one anywhere! but yeah i'd defintely be up to lend any one the rory stuff i have if you would be interested, i don't have a whole lot but i have a decent amount ha

I can't order anything off of Amazon because I don't have a credit card. :( Ah well, I've been bugging my family to get me 'Sunset Strip', 'Love and a .45', and 'The Prime Gig' from Amazon. :p

Even though I've seen the movies, I'd still like to own them. I'm amazed you found 'Father and Sons' Megan. :eek: That is the hardest movie to find, in my opinion.

As for lending movies, I'd be able to lend:

Black and White
Dazed and Confused
Empire Records
Hart's War
CSI:Miami seasons 1-4

...Except it would take a fair amount of my precious Canadian money to send them to anyone. :lol: Plus, I get protective of my DVDs. ;)

Ashley if you like, I can check to see if there's another copy of Fathers and Sons there (I believe there were three originally, I doubt anyone else was interested in it :lol:). I'd be glad to mail you one if I can find it.

Wow Ashley, you sure do have a lot of Rory movies in your collection. It kind of puts mine to shame. :lol: And I don't have the special edition of 'Dazed and Confused' either, I just have the regular version. But I do have the 'Fan Remix' of 'Empire Records'.

It's much better than the VHS version I was forced to rent when I first saw it. The added eleven minutes are really worth it, especially since five or six minutes involves our dear Lucas. ;)

i agree, i have the fan remix version too.
my fave scene they added is the one where he jumps down from the ceiling. i don't know why i just love that one. oh and the one where him and joe are on the porch swing talking. but anyways if any of you want to borrow whatever i have let me know i'll see if i can send it to you so you can enjoy the full rory experience :D

I just ordered Fathers & Sons not too long ago ( DVD - I found it for like $4.00 online)

By Christmas I should also have: CSIM S.1, A Scanner Darkly & Love & a .45 as well.

I totally understand being overprotective too; but if anyone wants to borrow anything let me know...

I loved the scene with him and Joe on the porch. :D

It was a nice little break with everything that was happening in the movie, and made for some great character development, which most 'teen' movies don't have. I don't know why they didn't just add the eleven minutes into the original movie, because without them, the plot loses substance.

I also read somewhere that they had actually filmed an entire other day to the movie, and they had to cut even more out because of various reasons. I'll have to find that article again and post it, because it's a shame that a movie such as 'Empire Records' which has a pretty substantial following (Like Dazed and Confused) would be cut down for the audience.

Kas, I'm excited that you're getting 'A Scanner Darkly'! :) And you sure do have a lot of Rory movies as well. :D

Did you order most of them off the internet, or did you find them in stores? I ask this because it seems those who have more 'Rory' movies seem to get them off the internet because they're so scarce everywhere else.

*raises hand* Yeah, I'm protective too. I don't have very many, I'm afraid, but I'm working on that. I'll check at work tomorrow to see if I can find another copy of F and S.

Aw, Katie I'd buy you a new 'Dazed and Confused' if I had the money and the stamps. :lol:

That's the thing I've learned about lending Rory movies and/or TV box sets. Chances are you won't get it back, or it'll come back more damaged than before. :rolleyes:

You have a pretty fair collection though, Katie. I wouldn't mind owning Flawless, and The Prime Gig. :D Two really great roles that Rory had.

And guys, since we're nearing the end of the Speed thread, anyone may, if they wish, start the new Speed/Rory thread at any time. If y'all prefer that I start it, that's okay too. :)

ETA: Nope, no one minds Megan. :) Start the new thread if you'd like. :)
