Erm..So back on topic..

About Dispo Day, how come we didn't get a follow-up episode in someplace like season two? We never knew if he actually cleaned the gun, or still felt guilty for Hollis' death. (obviously during Lost Son we found out whether he opened it or not. Damn writers. :mad:) But I would have liked to see more Speed-centric storylines in season two.

I believe we only got Wannabe. WOW and let's see, Delko got 'Extreme', 'Blood Moon' a little bit of 'Death Grip', 'Hard Time (He screwed up)', 'Slow Burn (He screwed up once again)'

Don't you think Speed should have gotten more than 'Dispo Day' 'Wannabe' and ...'Lost Son'? *sigh*

he definitely should have gotten more story lines. hes was definitely one of the better actors on the show in my opinion, and they didn't really give him a chance to show case it like they should have.

RC is an amazing actor. And with so little screen time, it's really no wonder he got bored and left the show. But I MISS HIM!!! I want him back!

Indeed. I think the fact that Rory did such great things with the little he was given to work with only proves once again what a fantastic and highly underrated actor he is.

And I agree Jen, he did the absolute best he could with what he was given. Granted, there were so many opportunities where the writers could have given his character something. 'Wannabe' showcased how much Rory was capable of, and even more so. I thought that case A was so strong, it could have held it's own without the case B.

But what you get, is what you get.

wannabe was so good. he was amzing in that. its probably my favorite csi miami episode ever. he was just awesome, when he was all angsty kicking the fence. gah i loved that part.

I loved Rory on the show too in my opinion they didn't give him enough good storylines and not enough screentime. I think that's the reason why he left the show.

I miss him sooo much on the show :(...he needs to come back now!!!

Rory left the show cuz he wanted to join CSI: that's what I heard... The show used to be more watched than Vegas when they had Tim on, the day after they aired "Lost Son" Everyone turned to CSI:NY and CSI: and started to watch those more

i miss him too. because the newer epsidoes...aren't so good. and now i'm starting to be thankful i stopped watching after he left.
if they brought him back for even just a minute that would be so rad ass.

Don't believe everything you hear. ;)

The reason Rory left was explained by himself in an interview with CSIfiles was that he was tired of the monotony of the job, and there was only so many times you could say "I'll get this back to the lab." - It was just very repetitive in his opinion.

Also, his heart lies with Independant Film, and he became very bored with CSI:Miami. He said he wanted to put in at least two years, and he also said he learned a lot, and didn't regret joining the show. :)

- And on a side note, CSI:Miami remains the most popular show on the planet, being viewed in more than 180 countries (I believe). So to my knowledge, it hasn't been overshadowed in any way by NY and Vegas.

Exactly, Geni. The elevator scene is proof of that. Look at how much emotion he conveyed before he even uttered a single word.

Rory is a very emotional actor and I agree in "Wannabe" that scene in the elevator it was brilliant the way he could say so much without saying anything, the emotion on his face said it all.

I have that episode on dvd and on the commentry they said that Rory and David only had to record that scene once and that it was perfect first time they also said it was the only time after a scene was shot that everyone cheered because it was so well done. :p
