ok, well, first of all, considering I have't posted one in a while, the POTD is up for grabs...I ran out of pics that I could manipulate to post as an image, no matter how hard I tried...I guess it's because I only have paint
and I just found out that the A Scanner Darkly Release date was pushed back over 2 months, so I have to wait even longer to go see it *mumbles* stupid Greater Union, can't even stick to a release date...
EDIT: Oooo, and yesterday, I had an English exam on conflict, and we needed a text of our own choosing which conveyed conflict, and about halfway through my essay, I thought that I should probably think of one, and the first one that came to me was Black and White, so I used that one...pretty much about the inner conflict when Chris realises that Nora may be involved and how he was visibly distressed, yada yada yada...
but the funny thing is, I was going to write about the conflict between Mike and everyone, but I completely forgot his name, so I didn't bother writing anything...I just sat there for ages trying to think, just going "Mike...Mike...Mike WHAT?!" and then as soon as I got home, I just thought "Clemence! Michael Clemence..." because I finally remembered the bit where Mike gets picked out of the lineup and the Sergeant says "Michael Clemence?"...ah well, my essay sucked anyway

Oooh I've never thought of using that movie for an essay. But it does have a few relevant themes. There are so many internal conflicts. I think that's one of the reasons I like the movie, it dug deeper into the characters.
And aw, I know how you feel. A Scanner Darkly was originally supposed to premier in Canada, April of 2006, but got pushed to July 14th. (I still had the opportunity to see it however)

See, the problem with Manitoba is that you can live in the second biggest city in the provence, and it's not even a big city. We have one theatre, and since the people here have no culture, the theatre is taken up showing only the crapiest movies. They couldn't possibly show something that might make you think.
Anyway, my point is, I never got to see A Scanner Darkly, because it never played here. Right at Your Door isn't going to play either. The University theatre might have played it, but it's closed for the season now because they need the space for classes. Urg.

(At times it sucks to live near Edmonton) I know that eventually DVDs will get released, and more often than not, I'll end up renting them. (A Scanner Darkly will probably be released on DVD)
This is why I want Rory back on CSI:Miami. (Even though this should go in the therapy thread, but it's not about Speed so ) We were able to see him every week, and I guess I kind of took that for granted. I mean, why would someone leave the most popular show on the planet, even if they weren't happy? ...But hey it was his choice, so who am I to judge.

I see we are posting profile pics! I LOVE his profile!!!!! *oops* sorry to barge in like that, but I just got back into the swing of all things Speed, and this was my second stop. For those who don't know me, I'm Speedfanatic, but the 'old heads' here know me as Anni Hi Katie, Jen!!!!!.
I love all things Rory. I think he is just the greatest.Just thought I would say that.
Okay, Ijust got a chance to see the new pics. I cried for almost five minutes after seeing them. His hair... I adore his hair,so needless to say, it was a shock. One that hasn't worn off yet. I severely hope its for the miniseries, and that it grows back. Despite that, I think he looks great.
*Sigh* I don't know what to say about the deal with movies. I don't live in a hick town, but I don't live in a metropolitan area either, but I sure as heck thought that I could at least see A scanner darkly, but it by passed me completely. Oh, well, there's always DVD. I have high hopes for Right at Your Door, but I know this too will pass me by. So, I'm 0 for 2 on his new releases.
And I just about died when I heard that he was willing to go on recurring status on the show, but they chose to kill him off anyway. I'm still furious about that.
