Nick whisps Sara off to the dance floor, where a slow song starts to play. He pulls her in close and puts his hands on his shoulders. as they start to move together to the rythm, nick's knees start to get weak as sara starts to play with the hairs at the back of his neck.

Nick: *whispers in sara's ear* did you know about this?
Sara: *smiles* no. my parents just said that we were going out to dinner with someone.
Nick: same...
they got silent as song takes a tole on them. but nick tries to spark another conversation.
Nick: why... why would they bring us here?
Sara: well, they know each other. probably just wanted to get together with each other. we're the same age, probably thought we'd get along.
Nick: *says to himself* or fall in love.
Sara: i just, could believe i saw you sitting there.
Nick: i think you saw my reaction.
Sara: *smiles*

Nick and Sara slowly dance along to the music, exchanging smiles and blushes. this, diffinatly doesn't go unnoticed by the four parents.

ls: why didn't sara mention anything about Nick?
bs: Pancho has mentioned to me about his sunshine acouple times, didn't think anything of it.
ls: his sunshine?
js: *looks over at the two dancing* they have chemistry... you can see it...
ms: i can see that they enjoy each other's company.
ls: love each other's company.
bs: hopefully the plan works...
the three smile at him.
ms: if they like each other as much as it looks like, we won't need to do much...

s: uhm! nick i think we should get back.
n: one more dance then will sit okay
s: okay just one okay.

nick pulls sara closer to him he can smell sara's shampoo and perfume, it made his mind wonder to different territory. he tighten his hold on her praying that the song will not end. the parents watching their kids and the waiter came with their food and drinks.

ms: bill your son is holding my baby girl like there's no tomorrow
bs: i can see that, beside i dont think your daughter mind either.
js: i think we should plan their wedding
ls: what? i like the idea but i'm not sure of sara.
js: why?
ls: just...

and they we're intrupted when nick and sara return, and nick being the ever gentleman pull out the chair for sara to sit in.

s: thanks nick
n: your welcome sar..
bs: did the two of you had fun
n: of course we did right sara
s: *nod her head* yes.
ls: *whispering to sara ears* okay sweetie
s: *smiles* i'm good mom

and nick just stares at sara like he was doing earlier that night.

js: *whispering to nick ear* dear its rude to stare.
n: *blushes and mumbles* sory.

and they continue eating and talking.

bs: so, sara. what kind of hobbies do you have?
S: *swallows the salad she was eating* um, i like to read. write stories. i do do the occasional running. *looks over at nick and smiles, remembering when they practiced together for the relay race they ran few years back*
ms: *the smiles don't go unnoticed my micheal* you run too nick?
N: *looks away from sara and at her father* yeah. me and sara practiced together for this company relay race. our team didn't actually end up finishing. Homicide got in the way.
js: wow. you found a dead body?
N: Grissom, our supervisor, did. Pretty crazy night.
S: *nodded her head in agreement*

The conversation between the 6 suddenly fades out, but then Micheal Sidle decides to go in for a punch. hopefully shaking something up between the two co-workers and very, VERY close friends.

ms: so, nick, you gotta girl friend?
N: *almost spits the water in his mouth out. nick looks over at Sara from the corner of his eye. did she know what he wants? giving a smile to the crowd, nick gathers his words together* me? no... i'm... waiting on the right person. *smiles at everyone as he takes another drink from his water. he quickly looks over at Sara, who's stuffing her self in her salad. was something bugging her?*

js: you don't think you've found her?
N: *smiles again and looks over at sara* i know i've found her... i'm just... not sure if she has the same feelings back. *getting a little awkward and embarassed, nick looks away and starts to eat the caeser salad infront of him*

The four parents smile at each other, victorious looks over their faces. All they need is a little push, and wedding bells won't be far. Laura Sidle isn't ready to give up this topic just yet...

ls: *smiles over at the couple* so, do we know this 'true love' of yours, Nick?
N: *looks up, spagetti in is mouth and confusion on his face, he swallows the spagetti and wipes the sauce off with his napkin* i...i, um.. i have to use the restroom. if you'll excuse me.

and with that, nick quickly left the table and headed to the bathroom. did he just do that? did he just practicly confess his love for sara infront of his parents, her parents... and sara herself? he was loosing it; he could tell. he could hardly stand up while they were dance together. their bodies flush against each other, her hands resting on top of his shoulders, the feel of her soft skin, the scent of her brown hair. why was this getting so complicated? just hope that the little situation wouldn't get worse. hopefully sara didn't realize who he was talking about. Of course that was unlikely, seeing as she was a CSI and had the amazing power of observation.

as nick and sara continue little banter and flirting with a light chuckles from them and their parent starts laughing with hestrics. and they look at them like they had grown a new pair of head.

s: *whispers over to nick* did someone just say a joke or something?
n: *looks over at the parents then back to sara* no idea...

as sara and nick get more and more confused, the waiter comes, confusion on his face as he looks down at nick and sara. giving the waiter a shrug, the waiter looks up.

waiter: would you like anything else for this evening.
js: *turns to ls and whispers* yeah, a video camera.

with that, the two burst out again. all four parents can't contain themselves as they continue laughing.

n: *shakes his head, waving it off* no, i'm fine. sara, would you like anything?
s: *looks from nick to the waiter and back* um, no... i'm good. salad filled me up. but, thank you.
waiter: *nods his head and turns back to the parents*
bs: *first one to control himself* no, i think we're all about full. all we need is the check.
waiter: *nods his head and leaves*

as the parents start to calm down and bring their breathing back to normal, nick and sara can't find out what they heck they were laughing at; and they're CSIs.

n: *looks over at sara and whispers in her ear*
s: *nods*
n: *stands up* well, we're just gonna be waiting outside, if you don't mind?
ls: *jumps right on it* no no, we don't mind. please, do whatever you two would like.
n: *smiles as he grabs the back of Sara's chair, allowing her to stand up and take nick's extended hand* we'll be just outside the door.
bs: *smiles at the two* you two have fun..

Nick and Sara star back at Nick's dad, terror on their face. embarrassment crosses their faces as they give a shy smile and proceed out of the restaurant.

ls: some alone time...
js: some privacy...
ms: just a little more time...
bs: *shakes his head smiling* man, we've only seen these two together tonight, wonder how their co-workers feel everyday! those completely blind to the fact that they are ment to be together.
js: *grabs bill's hand* they're perfect for each other.
ls: *smiles* sara's always been a little... weak when it comes to love.
bs: Nick's usually not. if he wants something, he usually goes for it. wonder why this is different.
js: *smiles* probably cause he's weak when it comes to his sunshine.

the four parents smile at each other as their minds wonder to what might be happening outside... :devil:

s: so where you going to take your parents tomorrow.
n: no idea, they do come up with what to do and where to go. so you where you taking your parents
s: we're choosing between going to lake mead's cabin and boating or go to a casino
n: let me guess you plan this
s: yes, look up on things to do you know
n: *taking other sip of his water* you know what i think we should go together
s: you sure, i'm feeling like to go to lake mead rent a cabin and go boating.
n: sure i'll even pay for the rent
s: no, will share
n: no, i will pay for it and that final

unknowingly their parent heard every bit of the conversation they had.

bs: nick is definitely in love with your daughter michael
ms: i can see, and i think they shared a mutual admiration for both of them

and all of them walk up to them to and say their good byes and headed out of the resturant.

The whole way home from the restaurant, Nick can't get the smile off his face. Remembering the exact way Sara looked and smelt. it drove him mad he couldn't kiss her show her how much he really did love her.

bs: so, son.. *bring nick out of his haze* you and sara seem to be really good friends.
n: *nods his head, still smiling*
js: *smiles too* sweetie... *decides to just get it out that* is she your 'Sunshine'?
n: *smile slides off his face and is replaced by a terrorized expression* what?
bs: your 'Sunshine', Nick. Is Sara your 'Sunshine'.
n: *swallows hard* why... why would you ask?
js: because... she diffentaly brightened your night.
n: *flashes a nervous smile over at his mom* we're really good friends.
bs: All relationships start off as a friendship Nick. it's what they lead to is the real prize.

Nick doesn't say another word as he eases the car into the driveway. quickly getting out of his car, he heads to the door. was that what they were laughing about?.

Nick makes his way inside, parents right behind him.

n: *looks around* so... you guys can have my bed, i'll sleep on the couch.
js: *smiles, placing her hand on nick's shoulder and giving him a good night kiss* goodnight nicky. sweet dreams... *smiles*
bs: night pancho. *starts to walks away* i'm expecting bacon and eggs tomorrow for breakfast.
n: *smiles* i'll be on that.

Nick sits down on the couch and waits for his parents to go to bed. finally hearing the reassuring sound of his father snoring, nick quickly grabs the telephone and heads out to his deck. he quickly dials the number.

w: hello?
n: hey rick.
w: nick, hey. good weekend so far?
n: better then expected...
w: well, tina's having her mom over of the next few days. fun for her, torchure for me.
n: aw... not gonna get any action.
w: *hears the smile in his voice* you know me too well.
n: i think i know you too much, man.
w: *laughts* so.. what's up?
n: *decides to just get it out there* ok... my parents are down for the weekend and they decide to hook up with some of their old friends...
w: yeah...
n: i get there, sit down and guess who coulds out of the ladies' bathroom...
w: wait wait... let me guess.... paris hilton.
n: no, someone better...
w: tyra banks.
n: no, man. you don't know me at all!
w: *laughs* ok... who was it?
n: Sara!
w: smartie-Sara-Sidle?
n: sexy-Sara-Sidle!

n: AMAZING! she looked so gorgeous! and we danced... but, i think my parents know, man.

n: yeah, i think our familys want to rent cottages together.
w: *smiles* sara in a bathing suit.

w: *laughs*
n: but, i don't know if we are. works in two days. there wouldn't be much..
w: wait, grissom hasn't phoned you?
n: *shakes his head* no...
w: oh yeah, you've been gone all night. Grissom phoned and said that days doesn't want to take anytime off. they all need the money. so, they're taking us off for four more days.
n: *smiles* you serious?
w: yup. so, enjoy you're 'sara-in-a-bathing-suit' time. you're gonna have lots of it.
n: *laughs* believe me, i wll.
w: ok, well. i gotta get going. Tina yelling at me to get to bed. what does she think i am? 10?
n: well.. you doo..
w: *stops him* don't answer that.
n: *laughs* alright, see you later rick.
w: yup.. see ya.

Nick heads in side and puts the phone back. Grabbing a blanket and pillow, Nick falls asleep on the couch, right into another sara-centric-dream.

as the sidles drive home sara keep staring outside of the car window thinking what nick is implying and why he acts so gittery, does he like her like she likes him. and then her phone rings it took her back out of her musing and she took her cell phone out of her purse and didnt bother to look on the caller id.

s: greg, hi! so what's up?
gs: are you doing any thing tomorrow and for the next 6 days
s: greg, will be back in two days.
gs: ooh grissom been trying to phone you to tell you that we are extended for other four days.
s: really. sorry greg but my parents are in town. maybe next time
gs: okay, enjoy you long weekend.
s: thanks. you to greg.

s: night greg. *turns off the phone and put it back in her purse*

s: he just informed me that we got extended vacation for another 4 days.

ms: we can tell bill that we can go back to california instead, beside you love beach and surfing plus we own a resort sweetie.
s: dad?
ls: will call them tomorrow and tell them the plan
s: you sure.
ms: okay where here

as they got out of the car and headed to the door of sara's flat. they took off their jackets and put hang it on the coat rack.

s: *walking over to her parents* mom the guess room is already prepared.
ls: okay sweetie thanks *kissing sara on the cheek* night sweetie
s: night mom
ms: *kissing sara's cheek* good night sweetie and pleasant dream
s: night dad.

and they went to their separate rooms and sara took her cordless phone and dial the familiar number.

w: hello
s: hi rick
w: second call i got this evening
s: tina is yelling at you, is she?
w: how do you know
s: just
w: so what do i owe this call
s: greg call me up and said we got extended vacation
w: :lol: sorry, yes we got 4 more days.
s: thanks, night war,
w: oh no!
s: no. what
w: how's your day
s: good
w: i heard that you dance with someone
s: where did you hear that

and as sara place the phone back she change her clothes and hit the sack.

Putting the phone down, Bill walked back over to Nick and Jill. Sitting down to his await bacon and eggs, Bill decided to give out the good news.

B: you have an extended weekend nicky?
N: *swallowing his food, he nodded*
B: good to know.. *smiles over at jill*
J: *flashes a confused expression at bill*
B: i was just talking to Mr. Sidle. you guys know the original plan, going to lake mead... have some fun.
N: *nodding again, wanting bill to continue*
B: well, we decided that instead, we could go to a new restort or cabin somewhere else. like... california or something.

Nick's face froze. spending four days with Sara Sidle?! Talk about winning the lottery! The light in Nick's eyes, once again going noticed by his parents.

B: *turns his face to nick* if that's ok, son.
N: *eyes wide, Nick shook his head* it's... great. No problem. it'll be really fun.
J: *smiles at her son's obvious affection for miss Sidle.*
B: *smiles too* alright, then start packing. planning on leaving today, as soon as flights as we can get.
J: do you have the flights yet?
B: *shakes his head* no.. but i'm gonna get some. Michael's getting some for his family. Not sure what time we're gonna meet them though. *turns to Nick* Pancho, would you mind phoning the Sidles back, asking what time we're gonna meet at the air port.
N: *stands up and puts his dirty dish in the sink* no problem. i'll phone now.

L: GREAT!
S: *confused* what's a go?
L: *smiles, knowing her daughter's gonna love the news* we're going on a little trip with the Stokes family. seeing as we all get along *says in her mind... 'some more then other...'* we've decided to go to a resort of some sort.
M: California.
S: *smiles* California.

Sara can't help but picture Nick topless, wet and sweaty. Him and her kissing in the waves as the sun starts to set. Feeling his water hair and warm lips. Jumping into his arms as the waves get higher. Laying in the sand, kissing passiontately all over. That would be the true vacation she dreams about.

As sara was about to say something, the ring from the phone started to echo throughout the house.

S: i'll get it.

Grabbing the phone, she heard a familiar voice bounce into her ear.
N: Good morning Sunshine.
S: Good morning Nicky. sleep well?
N: Like a baby... *remebers his dream...*
S: *smiles* so... heard of this resort, retreat thing?
N: *smiles* yeah... that's why i'm phoning.
S: really... *gets worried he's gonna cancel*
N: yeah. what time are our families meeting at the airport?
S: *releases the mass of breath she was holding* um... not sure. gotta ask... *turns and asks her father* 2ish?
N: *repeats* 2ish... ok.
S: *smiles* have you ever been to california?
N: nope. you?
S: no... first time going somewhere...
N: vacationy?
S: that's the word... *laughs*
N: *smiles and laughs too*

*bill yells at nick to start packing*
N: i'm going too!
S: parents... so annoying.
N: *smiles* always have, and always will.
S: *smiles* i gues i'll see you at 2.
N: yup... see you soon Sar.
S: you too, nicky.

and with that, they hang up the phone and head to their room to start packing.

 

sara pack her clothes and meet her parent on the living room.
s: i'm good to go
ms: where just going to wait for the cab
s: okay. anyway. our we staying at our house or at our resort.
ls: at the resort baby. so we can feel being one of the tourist, and michael no business transaction
ms: i promise *kiss micheal on the lips*
s: * i wish i can have that feeling of being love* are you two done smooching
ms: ooh! our baby is jealous *walks to sara and give her a kiss on the cheek and a hug* i love you baby
s: love you to dad
ls: hey! *walks to them pulls sara gives her a kiss on the cheek and hug her tight* i love you more baby
s: love you more to mom

and the heard the honk of the cab.

N: DAD!! THE CAB'S HERE!!

After have the flirty converstaion with Sara, Nick quickly and excitedly packed his bags and got ready for the cab to come. Within the next 10 minutes, the family was ready and the cab was honking from his driveway.

B: *walks out of the door* these bags are so heavy! Jill, we're only going for a few days!
J: i know, but you never know what might happen. better safe the sorry, right?

A smile crossed over Nick's face. Just like something Sara would say. hopefully we wouldn't have to carry her bag up to the resort.

J: *looks back at nick, who's still standing in the doorway* Nicky, you ready to go?
N: *nods his head* yeah, i'm good. *grabs his bag and walks steps out the door, turns around and locks it* let's get going.

20 minutes of driving and parking later, the Stokes moved their way back into the airport lounge. Sitting down for a few minutes, they started to see the Sidles manuver their way through the airport doors. being the gentleman that he is, Nick stood up and made his way over to Sara, giving her a hand with the massive bag she had tagging behind her.

S: *smiles* thanks. i think i bought a little too more... better safe...
N: *smiles as he finishes the sentence* then sorry. *turns and smiles at Sara*
S: exactly.

After checking in and getting on their flights, the excitment of the vacation was starting to sink in. mr and mrs stokes sitting beside each other, mr and mrs. sidle sitting besdie each other, left nick and sara take the last seats of the flight... two loney chairs in the back. Nick couldn't wait to see how this flight and vacation played out.

N: HOLY SHIT!

Nick was in awe as he stepped into the lobby of the giant restort. The high cieling, the decorative furniture, and inviting sunlight. He didn't really think life could get better then this. As he placed his bags down on the ground, he soaked in the rest of the room.

S: *lips curled, holding in a smile* you like...
N: *mouth and eyes still wide open* yeah....
S: *smiles and lets out a light laugh, nick's expression still not changing* wait till you see the room.

That just sent nick into overdrive. 'what till you see the room...'. he coudln't help but let his mind carry himself into a rather dirty and rather dangerous territory. Sara Sidle, in a resort bedroom..... :devil:

As nick started to fantasize and let his mind wonder, sara motioned for the 'bag boys' to come and pick up their bags, bringing them to their rooms.

Looking over at Nick, sara smiled again. Nick was the kinda guy that would protect you from any harm, but knew the right times to give you space. the kinda guy that would make the pissed off beyond belief, but would make you feel on top of the world a second later. he was the kinda guy, she could see herself being with, but would he ever know?

S: *holds onto his arm* and now for the best part...
N: *looks over and smiles* and that would be....
S: *smiles back, as she motions toward the french doors at the back of the lobby* the beach.

As nick and sara walked toward the door, arm in arm, smiles platered all over their faces, their parents started to hear wedding bells. The obviouse chemistry, the undenyable spark, the strong bond of love. It wasn't much longer, they all knew it.

front desk clerk: Mr and Mrs Sidle. what a pleasure. would you like your regular rooms?
M: yes, please, and we would like two more rooms. One right beside ours and the other down the hall.
L: *looks over at him, smile on her face as she knows what he's thinking of*
front desk clerk: *looking at his computer* sure thing. you have.... rooms 78, 79, and 3. all with walk out desks onto the beach.
M: thank you, Richard.
front desk/Richard: *smiles as he hands michael the keys* enjoy.
M: *smiles back*

As the four parents walk away, half of them start to grow confused.

J: three rooms?...
M: *nods his head...*
B: one for the sidles, one for the stokes...
L: and one for the soon to be newlyweds.
