Chapter 24
Emma sat out by the pool thinking. Aaron was down at the batting cage taking his anger out on the ball.
The doorbell rang about an hour after the catering company began to set up. Emma looked back to the house and saw her father walking towards the door; she sat down on the deckchair to get some sun.
Gil walked toward the door and answered it to find a big surprise.
“Gil Grissom what a surprise”
“Likewise Antony Nikolas Grissom-Clarke”
“Dad it’s good to see you & it’s just Grissom.” Tony lent over and hugged his father.
“So what are you doing here?”
“I’m here to meet my family and for a dinner my little sister.”
Gil guided his oldest into the house and walked into the living area.
Marie was talking with Sara when they two of them walked in.
Marie noticed Antony with Gil and smiled.
“Antony Nikolas”
“Hello Nana. Uncle Ben said you were heading to see Dad. Can some one fill me in to what everyone is doing here apart from dinner?”
Sara spoke from the sofa “This is our place. I’m Sara by the way. Emma & Greg own most of this place but we all put into this place.”
Gil turned to his son and said “Sara is my fiancée & Aaron’s mother.”
“Who’s Aaron?”
“Your younger brother, who is somewhere on the property.”
Sara spoke again “He’s possible down that the batting cage after I gave him ‘THE Talk’ he wasn’t too happy that it was me giving him it. He thought Gil was going to do it.”
“I’ll talk to him later. Greg is on his way home. The babies are in bed and their nanny is off duty.”
“Babies?”
“Cruz who sara and I have adopted but is your mother’s child. Blaze who is your nephew”
“Aaron’s child or Emz’s Child?”
“Emma’s” Sara stated.
“Where is she anyway?”
“Out by the pool. She goes there when we have little fights.” Gil said guiding his son out to the pool.
Tony saw Emma’s tummy as she lay towards the sun.
“Pregnant again”
Emma turned her head to see her big brother and sat up covering herself.
“Antony Nikolas you gave me a fright. But this is the third pregnancy”
“Blaze. That one and?”
“Lincoln Antony Grissom & Dallas Georgina Marie Grissom are my two oldest. They live with Aunt Heather but will be here tonight. Gilbert Blaze Grissom is in bed and these two are due in February. What about you?”
“No kids that I know of. And I haven’t told dad but the name is Lt Antony Nikolas Grissom. Retired from the army 6 months ago and am not a medical intern but a doctor.”
“CSI’s, casino owners, artists and medics that’s what makes up our family. Lt”
“casino owners?”
“Our material grandfather is Sam Braun not Colt Stokes. You wanna know something funny?”
“Okay. By the way you’re looking great.”
“thanks. Sara our soon to be step-mom is also my fiancés older sister.”
They burst out laughing.

Neither of us noticed Aaron walking up to the pool gate.
“Yo giggles. Let me in”
“Sorry Aaron.” Emma said getting up and walking to the gate.
She opened the gate and said “You ever call me that again and I’ll tell Lindsey what you do in bed dreaming about her.”
“You wouldn’t. You look like Dad!” Pointing to Tony.
“Lt. Antony Nikolas Grissom. You must be Aaron, dad’s son to Sara. Now was it my imagination but is Sara heavily pregnant.”
“Mom’s due in the next 3 weeks. Triplets, she decided that she would a stay at home mom for the rest of their young lives. You’re in the army, does dad know?”
“Was in the army until 6 months ago. I retired I’m a doctor at Mersyside medical clinic.”
Emma knew what clinic it was due to the fact she was a patent there.
“So you know Dr Flynn?”
“Yeah she’s the OB there. How did you know Emz”
“She’s my doctor.”
“So I guess you have met her younger sister”
“Yeah I have if you are talking about Catherine. She’s Lindsey’s mother and mom & Catherine have the same father.”
“so she’s sort of cruz’s, mine and your aunt but doesn’t know it.”
“She knows it but no-one knows that you exist. Dad kept his past quiet for a long time. Only people who knew about me on the crew were sara & greg.”
