Love that we're gonna see another person from the Jossverse on CSI.

Who else from BTVS has been on CSI? Or are you referring to another Joss show? I want James Marsters (Spike). He's been on Without A Trace and Numbers, but never CSI. :sigh: I miss Spike.

Oh, that would be awesome! Isn't he on Torchwood right now though? Spike = awesome.

Andy Umberger (D'Hoffyrn in Buffy and the crazy doctor in I Fall to Pieces on Angel, and he was also on Firefly) was in one ep and Julie Benz was in one ep.

I want David Boreanaz lol. Bones crossover! Darn their being on different networks :(

Gina Torres should show up though. I didn't know she was Lawrerence's wife.

So true. I'm still hoping that she shows up as Ray's wife, even though a part of me will still be thinking 'what about Wash?' Arr, I still haven't gotten over Firefly being cut so short. Technically, she already has shown up in CSI, apparently as a warden.

I think Anya's friend was on there before too. The one Anya called Halley.

Kali Rocha played Hally (a.k.a. Halfrek), but she hasn't been on CSI, at least not according to IMDB or Wikipedia.

I read an interview with LF and he mentioned that he would love to have his wife Gina guest star on CSI. So maybe it will happen, probably not this season though.

You were asking what other Joss Whedon graduates have been on CSI off the top of my head:

Alan Tudyk (Firefly) was in the season 7 episode Burn Out
Gina Torres (Firefly, Angel) season 4 episode XX
Summer Glau (Firefly) season 5 episode What's Eating Gilbert Grissom?

That's all I can think of at the moment of main cast I'm sure there are people I'm missing.

Actually his wife has already been in a CSI episode. I think it was back in Season 4, XX, she played the female Prison Warden.

The vampire named Darla on both Buffy and Angel (Heidi Wolff) was in season 6, 'A time of your Death' too.

Oh yeah I knew that, I meant guest star in a future episode with her husband.

Haha, I forgot that the prison warden was Gina torres. :lol;

I was wrong, it was Bones that Kali Rocha was on. too many crime shows... hard to keep them all straight.

The discussion thread for (#918) "Mascara" (200th episode) is now up all discussion for this ep should be taken/done in that thread, as this is for future episodes. :) Thank you.

New little spoiler from TVGuide.com
Will CSI's Catherine get a love interest? Ever? — Hilla
TIM: Not anytime soon, Hilla. I'm hearing CSI's writers aren't planning for her to find a warm body anytime soon — just plenty more cold ones. But we passed on your interest, so maybe she'll find someone soon who wants to take her out for a Scorpion at the Pepper Mill. The Vegas people know what I'm talking 'bout.

What the heck is a scorpion and what's the pepper mill?

Couldn't tell ya about the Scorpion (probably a drink), but the Pepper Mill is a restaurant. I've been there, you can have weddings, get togethers, just dinner and it has a lounge. It's between the Stardust (though this Casino is gone now) and the Riviera. It's open 24 hours a day and has been mentioned on the show.

This will tell you a little about it

The Pepper Mill is a restuarant in Las Vegas, I lived there,it's real fancy, and a Scorpion is a drink combining these liquors with fruit juice, it'll knock your socks off:eek:

SCORPION Gin, dark rum or light, Vodka, Grenedine, Orange Juice and Pineapple Juice:p

Ah... should have known scorpion was a drink. I don't drink, so I don't know the names of a lot of the mixed ones.

Thanks to everyone who answered my questions. :)

Not surprisingly, CSI has seen a dip in viewers since star William Petersen left the show Jan. 15, but no one seems to be wringing their hands at CBS. The series has only lost 8 percent of its viewers -- from 19.9 million people down to 18.38 million -- after Laurence Fishburne (pictured) replaced Petersen. The losses are more prominent in the all-important 18-49 demographic (the series is down 13 percent); insiders concede that some of the decreases can be attributed to growing competition from ABC's Grey's Anatomy, especially given all the interest in Izzie's mortality of late (nope, she's not dead...yet!).
CSI still has the ability to attract the rubberneckers. The March 5 episode featuring Taylor Swift in a guest-starring role as a murder victim averaged a hefty 20.9 million viewers -- the show's fourth-most-watched episode this year. And producers are hoping to lure even more on April 2, when CSI celebrates its 200th episode. It was directed by The Exorcist's William Friedkin and focuses on Mexican wrestling (and yup, there's even a wink-wink-nod-nod to devil extractions). Other upcoming episodes feature Henry Thomas (E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial) as a convicted killer, and Dr. Al's Robert David Hall delving into a mysterious disease that ravages healthy people.

There's at least 2 reasons for that:

1. The ratings have been dropping on CSI for years. And that drop got accellerated when they tried to fight with Grey's Anatomy instead of just doing what they do best.

2. In these recent years TPTB have had no idea how to market/promote the show. This season they've spent the first 10 episodes promoting as 'Grissom's leaving' and since then as 'LF is here'. And I've seen stories on LF where he's mentioned he didn't even know he was in the running for the part until he'd gotten it. Until Turn, Turn, Turn they did very little promoting around any of the existing cast and who was going to be staying, and if they wanted a fanbase for after Grissom they should have tried to enlarge the ones they had for the original cast instead of just bringing in someone new.

I don't think it's a surprise that Turn, Turn, Turn did so good in the ratings, and I don't put it down to Taylor Swift being in it (never knew who she was before and she did a decent job for a non-actor). From scanning the web and people's comments about it, it was more to the fact that there was the promise of an episode based on one of the existing, established characters (not Ray Langston) that brought people in.
