Oh I think they shouldn't complain at all about their salaries.. But when your co-workers are making 3, 4x the amount you are - I'd request to be up there too.. I mean, at least she's not asking for a million per episode

Last I heared, Billy was making $500,000 an eppy...but he is the star, and an executive producer. She is part of the supporting cast, with Billy and Marg being the stars, so they will make more. However, I understand if she gets less than George...women always get paid less for the same work! That happened with Gillian Anderson...where is DD's emmy? Oh wait, he didn't win one, but still got paid more. Lame.

Personally...I don't buy it. Isn't The New York Post the newspaper known for it's Page 6 gossip column, which is known by many as "Page 666" ? It could very well be an overly embellished story. On the fact that Jorja might be holding out for more money....I have a hard time believing that anyone who has ever held a job on this board has never had a problem with a raise. I know I have. According to the articles surrounding the firings before season five, Jorja was making $100,000 an episode back then. We can sit here and say she is being greedy because $100,000 seems like a ton of money. But when you think about the fact that the CSI franchise rakes in millions and millions of dollars in large part because of what these actors bring, I can't help but understand Jorja holding out for more money. Both she and George Eads didn't recieve raises during the last contract negotiations, over what turned out to be a misunderstanding. I don't think a substantial raise is all that out there. By their tenth season, the entire cast of "Friends" was making $1,000,000 for a half an hour episode. $100,000 is not that much for a very successful television drama going into it's eighth season, especially for an actor who has been there from the first season. Maybe they are paid too much but for the hours the actors need to put in and the fact that the shows/movies rake in so much, they do deserve a substantial amount of the profits. If the story is true, maybe not showing up wasn't the best decision. But by killing off the character of Sara Sidle, that's pretty much saying, "And now you're fired." So probably a factor into why she wouldn't show up to that day of filming. As a viewer, if Jorja or any of the other actors were to leave on their own accord, I'd still watch the show if only to see what happens. But if she is forced out over salary disputes, I don't think I'll be tuning in for season eight.

Perhaps hurting Catherine, instead of Sara would be a light in the rain for all you fans who are sick and tired of seeing Sara.

Where the heck did that come from?!?!?! Just because we are sick of seeing Sara and Grissom working together...doesn't mean we want Sara to be hurt. To be honest this whole finale sounds lame.

*coughs* but don't get me started on prefering Catherine in the finale over Sara...because it's so true. I think MH is the bomb when it comes to the show.

As far as JF and her getting paid less than BP and MH...that is a normal thing considering they are the stars of the show. I don't know any of the other salaries...but come on 100,000 an episode...when it's obvious to me that she has been in a lot this season isn't worth a gripe. I bet she made more than GD. Plus, at least she was getting more than adequate screen time. Anyhow...we don't even know if this is true. I just hope its not...because if it is...my line of thinking for JF would be don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.

er, actors on comedys make more because they are so cheap to make. Plus they were all in movies = bigger stars.

Well, that is how us 'normal' folk are treated in the real world, I don't see why actors should have special treatment...

If not...just like you pabzi I'm worried...why the sudden rewrite with MH. I swear if she ends up getting hurt again...which could be possible if they decide to continue on from the beginning of this season. Okay so just a bit worried is all...

I don't know...they had to come up with something last minute...did they just rewrite the ending or rewrite the whole ep? Cause what if Sara goes missing, but Cath gets a big story...Never know, maybe they just flew MH out to vegas to film a scene in a casino to add another case to fill the time? But maybe something will happen to Cath?

I don't know what to say about Jorja, or even if I believe it, cause I don't know. If it is true though, I'm dissapointed.

I wasn't trying to sound rude there.. I was saying that maybe they'd be better off doing a finale with Catherine, instead of Sara - since it seems so many fans are tired of Sara, and/or with Grissom being in the limelight the past couple of episodes.

We will find out when we watch the finale...it should be obvious, if they change the ending...it really sounded like those spoilers were true.

Well damn I really don't want JF to leave. I like Sara on the show...I just want a bit of variety. I'm thinking this could be a great ploy. Maybe they are jacking with us. But then it seems stuff is sort of adding up together...but then again we could be in the dark about a lot of stuff...for starters...maybe JF already signed and its being kept hush hush.

If actors were like normal folk, they'd be getting paid hourly or getting raises on a regular basis. They also most likely would not have to work at all hours of the day and would have regular times they knew they would have work as production delays can dictate how long an actor needs to be on set. And the horrible curse of being typecast is always above the actor's head for years after being on a successful show. Once that show ends, there is a good chance that an actor won't be able to find another job in their field for a very long time.

**is interested in the MH part**

now I know it's been said, the cast of Friends made $1,000,000/episode EACH
That's a helavua lot of $$$ for a TV show. Granted it is just as popular as CSI but I have no qualms about Jorja asking for a pay raise. I think *possibly* something was released to a paper for a *shock* teaser to get us to watch???? I'm just asking... not telling...

and for the Marg info. I hope they don't have her trapped under the car. We have seen enough Cath drama for the Season IMO. Marg rocks, don't get me wrong, but I think some others need some more personal drama too.

BUT wait isn't the name of the show CSI:Crime Scene Investigation?? Not Despirate Housewives
--sorry I had to add that, my own personal argument for the very personal storylines

I like the idea of her getting a big case...but then having their season finale talked up...it's almost like they have to make it good and not just a filler. As long as they don't make psycho natalie go after her...I'm cool.

For the amount they get paid, they better work a lot! I really can't feel sorry for actors though....do you know how much ER doctors work?

now I know it's been said, the cast of Friends made $1,000,000/episode EACH

Why do people keep comparing CSI with Friends? Actors in dramas get paid less than comedys, can't really compare. CSI is really expensive to produce...

Excluding the fact that the writers do have to go to lectures on Forensics and all that stuff.. Their production is costly, but I sitll can't feel bad about Jorja wanting more money. Comedies take absolutely no brains to create. I could come up with a comedy (Well, half assed..) and it'd likely sell - because they take no skills.

Do you realize that JF probably gets probably way over a million a year? Why do you feel sorry for her. Heck...I want to buy house...maybe she could lend me 100,000 for one of her episodes!!! Hahaha...

I never said I felt sorry for, but I also don't feel bad for her wanting more. 24 episodes = 2.4 million dollars a season. Oh well, money is money, and everyone wants more.. I don't know much more to say about this.
