Season 7 Ratings

again i'm surprised that no one's re-posted gary's tweet saying the show hasn't yet been picked up for next season. especially given how late in the season it is, relatively speaking, and how, well, let's face it he's not likely to go saying something like that about his own show unless it has some meaning behind it is he?

I'm guessing he Tweeted that information because people were asking him. I don't see any message in there other than to say it hasn't been picked up yet.

Last year most CBS shows including the CSI franchise were renewed in May...so we'll have I guess to wait a few more months to find out if the show is going to be renewed for next season.

Last night's ratings from PI Feedback:

CBS – CSI: NY - first half
Viewers: 10.23 million (#1), A18-49: 1.7/ 6 (#1)
CBS – CSI: NY - second half
Viewers: 11.01 million (#1), A18-49: 1.9/ 6 (#1)

That's a season high in viewers (the previous high was 10.44 million for 7.07) - I hope the show increases or stays at this level between now and whenever CBS has to decide what to keep and what to cancel. ;)

The demo was up from last week's series low, but it has stayed pretty even all season. I wish it could get a decent bump in 18-49, but I still think the show is doing pretty well considering its age and timeslot. I mean, it pulled in 4 million more viewers than the next highest show on during 9pm last night - even if Fridays are desolate compared to the rest of the week, NY seems to do pretty well for itself.

Actually last week turned out not to be a series low. The final ratings was a 1.6, not a 1.5. The series low was back on Nov. 19th.

Over 11 million viewers in the last half hour! Wow, isn't that the most this season? The rating for this episode was a 1.8. That is great!

Also Gary Sinise tweeted this, this morning:
"Gr8 episode 4 Anna B last nite. Love working with her. 2 co stars were wonderful. Thx 4 the terrific ratings last nite. Hope 2 B back next year"
That should give people hope for those saying that they think that Gary doesn't want to come back next year after his contract is up! :)

That's GREAT news! NY doesn't need stunt casting to get better ratings.

The episode also had a big jump in he ratings after the first 30-minutes. Good sign many found the episode worth watching.

Good numbers. NY's has a base audience but somehow it fluctuates from there. Sometimes, the young adults demo is high (1.9, 10pm) but the total viewers is low (9.3 million, season low, 10pm). Last night, the demo is average but the total viewers is in highs.

Great number in viewers! :bolian:

Hopefully it will continue like that so another season becomes a possibility.
