Of all the ways to send her off, this is what they come up with? :rolleyes:

Action Cath is great but it's been so overdone. And does this mean now that Cath goes off the grid like Ray did to protect the one's she cares about? And does Nicky cover for her? Stupid way to go if you ask me! Not believable or very satisfying like the original spoiler of her departure said.

So count me in as being less than thrilled at this storyline for Catherine's exit. There are much better ways to go. Being demoted is one thing, but come on! Having to protect her loved ones, is just ridiculous in my book. :wtf:

I really hope she doesn't follow the same path as Ray; especially if she does get demoted because of what he did, she should know better. Not very original either, if she ends up leaving the same way Ray is, so I really hope/expect it to be a significantly different situation.
 
We all know how Carol M has the tendency to dramatically over-embellish things and make them more than they really are, and what we think might happen, doesn't. I'm thinking that Catherine reaches a point where she takes a line from Danny Glover in "Lethal Weapon": I'm getting too old for this shit!" and she decides to run the casino Sam left her.

We don't yet know if Ray went to prison for murder or if he was cleared (if IA found it was self-defense) and resigned and went off to do something else. If Catherine resigns and goes off to do something else (i.e. run Sam's casino) then in that regard, she would be leaving the same way Ray did.

CALLIE late 20s, pretty, upper middle class grad student from the east coast, she's Doc Robbins' niece who is attending an art gallery opening with Nick. She reacts to the "trash art" pieces with intensely philosophical commentary that eludes Nick, but the two are getting along well -- until their date is interrupted by the discovery of a murder victim on site.

Gina enjoys playing cat-and-mouse with Sara, who is investigating the new disappearances, but despite Sara's best efforts to put Gina back behind bars where she belongs, Gina proves a wily antagonist who is very hard to pin down

I'm really hoping that this Callie is only on a friendly date with Nick. I have no issues with him getting some lovin', but "late 20s"? Hopefully she's mature for her age. Sounds like it, but I'm still a little concerned.

New ballistics tech, huh? I guess Bobby is gone for good. :(

She's Doc Robbins niece - I doubt he's going to try anything. He's probably doing it as a favor for Doc.

I like the fact that he's clueless when she starts getting philosophical about the art. :lol:

Well they might change their mind and make her older, spoilers change

And I would like to see Nick get a girlfriend or at least a potential love interest :)

Plus it's not ALL D.B. spoilers :):)

Hopefully we'll get Greg spoilers SOON and maybe Morgan spoilers too ;):)

So typical. Let's see Nick turns 40 this year and they can't get someone in their 30s? Typical Hollywood :rolleyes:

Of course, George's wife is 12-years younger then him so I guess that's normal. :lol:

My guess is she's in town visiting and Nick goes with as a favor for Doc. Doesn't say possible recurring so don't think she'll be a girlfriend.

You know what needs to happen for Catherine? How about Eddie's murder being solved? I'm not saying for the final storyline, but geez at least give her that. :)
 
I hope the whole Nick out on a "date" with Doc's niece is just him doing a favor for Doc and showing her around town or something. I hope he doesn't actually start dating her. I don't know what would bother me more about that scenario the fact that she's described as in her 20s (thus being at least a decade younger than Nick) or the fact that she's Doc's niece lol. It would be way too fanfic like if he actually started dating a relative of a co-worker.

I'm not really happy about a new ballistics tech. I was hoping we'd see Bobby again eventually.

I like that they are bringing in someone related to Doc Robbins. Now that Ray is gone they could easily go back to forgetting about Doc (most of the scenes I enjoyed with Ray were the ones he shared with Doc) and I also like knowing a bit more of his personal side. The niece would also be a nice romantic interest for Nick because, like a lot of fans continually say, they prefer someone outside the lab and not a team member, so she fits that description. The only meh factor is her age. I too would like someone closer to his age. Not because two people with that age difference couldn't fall in love but because I'm so tired of tptb always going for the younger type. There are a lot of mature, beautiful, capable actresses who would be perfect for the part.
