Question: Any CSI scoop? —Mindy
Ausiello: The upcoming Lady Heather episode won’t just be a Lady Heather episode, I’m told. The hour’s other hot plot? A teen bullying case which becomes highly personal to George Eads’ Nick.

From ShaneSSaunders.com:

CSI Finale Promises to be Dark
"The finale, titled “In A Dark, Dark House” (and written by Tom Mularz) puts Langston front and center as he finally vanquishes Haskell once and for all. Things get personal for The Doc when Haskell places his ex-wife Gloria Parkes (Tracee Ellis Ross) in a dangerous situation, thus making the case a conflict of interest."

The entire article, including more spoilers about Ray's mother-in-law and Haskell's background, can be read here.

Some info about this episode from Robert David Hall:

"After all these years of dealing with death, I actually got to deliver a baby," Hall says. But, this being "CSI," you know it's not going to be a balloons-in-the-maternity-ward kind of occasion. In fact, the young mother has just committed suicide.

"Dr. Robbins acts very quickly to deliver the baby right there ... It's based on something that really happened with Daniel Holstein, a pathologist who is an adviser and sometimes writer on the show. There was a situation just like this in Los Angeles," says Hall, who shares the segment with George Eads

Whether it's burying someone alive or having a shoot-out in the lab, CSI is famous for it's frenetic finales. When season 11 comes to a close, though, exec. producer Carol Mendelsohn has something different in mind. "It's going to be emotionally explosive" Those internal fireworks start sparking in the next-to-last episode on May 5, when the team travels to Los Angeles to follow a tip that serial killer Nate Haskell [Bill Irwin] is up to his old tricks. says Mendelsohn "They'll find evidence that will call into question whether or not Nate Haskell is Nate Haskell. they'll uncover who he is and how he was created" Ever since replacing Grissom [William Petersen] on the CSI team, Ray Langston [Laurence Fishburne] has been on a collision course with Haskell, and in the SEASON FINALE, he'll finally take matters into his own hands . Mendelsohn won't say what exactly those hands do to his nemesis, but she does add that Langston's decision leaves the whole team at odds with each other. "The finale won't end with a clear slate, it'll be a cliffhanger, but more for the team in terms of their relationships and dealing with the aftermath of what Langston does"~

Question: Any scoop on CSI‘s Nick Stokes? —Connie
Ausiello:
This could be about Nick: A pivotal character will die in the season finale.

From MegaBuzz/TV Guide.
Is Marg Helgenberger really leaving CSI? Does the Langston-Haskell finale take time to give Catherine a good send-off? — Jackson
ADAM: There's no send-off, but that's because Catherine isn't going anywhere for the time being. "We expect to see Catherine back next season," executive producer Carol Mendelsohn says. "She will be the supervisor of the graveyard shift. Fans don't have to say goodbye quite yet." That doesn't rule out a send-off next season, of course, but it doesn't sound like one will come quickly. "I would say that Marg will be a big presence in a lot of the season," Mendelsohn says.

From the current edition of Entertainment Weekly:

CSI Stars Search for Killer—and Contracts

By Lynette Rice

Producers of CSI are promising a bloody good end to season 11. But Raymond Langston’s (Laurence Fishburne) hunt for the serial killer who stole his kidney last year isn’t the only mystery surrounding CBS’ flagship crime show. The network has yet to ink new pacts with Fishburne, Marg Helgenberger, and other costars whose contracts expire after the May 12 finale. “It’s definitely a cliff-hanger,” teases exec producer Carol Mendelsohn. “Most of our actors are negotiating for next season, so at the moment we don’t know. It must be a test for the writers of CSI. We always start planning for next season without knowing for sure.” Veteran costar Paul Guilfoyle is expected to stick around, but Helgenberger told People earlier this year she’s planning to do only “a few episodes” next season. Fishburne tells EW that he’s not looking to go anywhere. “I’m having a great time,” he says, while acknowledging that it was a challenge replacing William Petersen‘s Grissom. “I was cognizant of the fact that Grissom was a much-beloved character. I made it my business to sit down and watch almost every episode of CSI from season 1 until I came on. It was about understanding the world and becoming as immersed in the show as possible. I love it.”

The final three episodes involve serial killer Nate Haskell (the terrific Bill Irwin) and hark back to Warrick Brown, Gary Dourdan's character, who was killed off in season 8—ironically, when the actor’s contract expired. The CSI crew follows Haskell to Hollywood, where they meet up with a cop (Elisabeth Harnois) who’ll join their team. “The death of Warrick was a watershed event for all of them,” says Mendelsohn. “Our team didn’t necessarily back him up all the way when he was shot. We wanted to do a story that would call up those memories. In the end, it is a story about whether you cross the line for a teammate.”

Must watch season finale's

CSI (CBS)
Airs: Thursday, May 12 at 9/8c

Langston's hunt for serial killer Nate Haskell gets personal when Haskell kidnaps Langston's ex-wife Gloria. Langston's obsession forces the rest of the team to decide how far they're willing to go in pursuit of the mad man. And the final showdown between the two men is guaranteed to be bloody. "Haskell and Langston are reflections of each other, at least in Haskell's mind," executive producer Carol Mendelsohn says. "Can either man kill the other and not kill themselves?"
