I don't think that the "young smokin' hot" description was from TPTB at CBS/CSI. I think it was more the writers of the article. I mean, come on, can you actually see the big wigs over at CBS or CSI calling someone "young smokin' hot"? They're too interested in making money to know what "young smokin' hot" is! :rolleyes:

Here's her IMDB for those who want to know a little about her and what she's done. Doesn't look like too much big name stuff. I've probably seen her in Criminal Minds but nothing else there looks familar.

Taking the fact that Liz was in the opening credits. If (notice I said if - I have no idea if she's going to be in the main cast or a recurring character!) this character is only a recurring character then yes she's going to cost less than Liz. Plus it doesn't look like she's done much big name stuff to be able to ask for a big paycheck.

As much as I love Sienna and her work, why do tptb believe they need an 'explosives' expert? With Liz gone, that should still leave at least six techs...they have less CSI's and they're supposed to be the centre of the show.

And now she's supposed to be Ballistics? Well, there goes Bobby's few minutes of screen time per season:shifty:

Oh, Mia. Yes she was hot. I watch Aisha Tyler's comedy specials all the time with a frozen expression of 'Damn!' on my face. :lol: Imagine the show if she had stayed on. She was perfectly capable of going toe to toe with Grissom, Sara, Warrick... damn! But then we wouldn't have had Wendy... :(

And I'm still under the belief that if they had asked Liz to downsize, she would have done it. I really don't think she has that kind of an ego where she'd demand all kinds of pay increases and star billing. It sounds like they just fired her out of the blue. Sorry if I'm still hung up on this. It just really bugs me.
 
Who knows what they have planned. Her character might be a new CSI with a background in things that go boom. All the CSIs had to start somewhere in their careers. I believe she will be in the opening credits considering her experience.

Yes, I am too a fan of Sienna and her works. I think she will surprise a lot of people.

I agree..... and for me no need to say sorry... it's bugging me also (again)....

Okay, well if the description of the character where they said "smokin' hot 20 something" was just the article writers saying that, then they need to be yelled at for getting the fandom in an uproar. :lol:

I hope that her being a bomb expert doesn't mean that we'll never see Bobby again. Cause I love Bobby.

Okay, that's who I figured you meant when you mentioned the two parter with the explosion. That was Jill Valentine though? Haha. I thought Kate was played by the same actress who played Hayley. They really do look a lot like each other lol.
 
Well, at least she's about the same as Nick. Now if the journalists (and I use that term loosely here :lol:) had her description wrong, they very well could have the she'll be a love interest for Nick wrong too. Since they didn't exactly say that, we just all assumed :D Because, well, that's what we do. :D

However, if she is a love interest for Nick then it goes against everything that has been said in the past. Nick said he wouldn't want to date someone he works with and George has said that if Nick did hook up with someone that he would want it in the background.

Let's hope there's chemistry between these two. Maybe she'll be a 'smart-ass' and really test Nick. :lol:

That could be a possibility. Last season was Liz's only one in the opening credits. You do know that it would make them (TPTB) look like the only reason they put her in the opening credits was because Marg would have been the only female if they didn't. :lol:

Still, if the character is 35, that's the same age as Greg (cause last I checked Greg was the same age as Eric is in real life), so she could be a love interest for him. Could we see Nicky playing match-maker? LOL.
