Season 11 "Spoiler Lab" Discussion

My daughter told me that the reason the stars who signed on, and why it's trickling in one by one, is that they all have agents speaking for them, and doing the negoitations, and they tell them what they want and the agent is the one who speaks for them, which makes sense, and their not all sitting around some big table, with the writers telling them what they want or don't want. Thus when it's a done deal then we get the news;)

I don't know... Paget Brewster from Criminal Minds put on her twitter that she had a meeting with execs regarding contract negotiations. So I think that the actors are there with their agent during those negotiations. I don't know whether or not they do separate negotiations for separate cast members, they probably do... but I do think the actors are present at those negotiation talks.

Now, I'm really curious as to who they cast in the role of the new girl?? With CBS' moving The Big Bang Theory and Sh!t My Dad Says in place of Survivor, they will probably try to appeal to some of the younger geeks that will watch these comedies. If that's the case, someone like Katee Sackhoff from Battlestar Gallactica or Emile de Ravin from Lost would be a really good choice.

With this new creative direction and going cheap they probably cast Lindsey Lohan. She could play herself and blow up the lab after trying to cook up some meth.... :guffaw::guffaw:
Lindsey Lohan jokes never get old.:guffaw:But hey, Lindsey Lohan is really talented when she's sober, drug-free, and thinking clearly.

But seriously, knowing TPTB they'll pick some no-name girl. By no-name I mean hasn't been in that may movies or tv shows. I can't remember the last time CSI got anyone big to play a recurring role.

That's what I've always liked about CSI... they don't need an A-list cast to be successful. When i first watched it the only two I had recognised was Marg and Archie, and that's one of the stranger reasons why I enjoy it.:rommie:

recurring: to occur again after an interval.

Correct me if I am wrong, because I often am :p, but a recurring role would be along the lines of supporting cast...such as the lab techs, Judy the receptionist...Ecklie. Lawrence Fishburne is a regular.

That is hilarious...

And though the subject of the process of contract negotiations is not really spoiler-ish, I will bite in saying, it probably depends on the availability of the actor at the time....that or the job description of that particular agent acting on behave of the actor. Perhaps some would rather be a part of the process while others, not.

As for who mentioned about asking someone who might know the answer, I think it was Blackflag....well, I took the advice and dropped a message to Ausiello in regards to Wally. I am tired of not knowing . And like Beaujolais mentioned...I do have to agree that we would have heard something if he didn't. And as Dizzney told me, if both he and liz weren't coming back, we would've heard news of them both around about the same time. But it's that gut feeling I have....

Oh, I'm sorry. I took recurring to mean someone who's regularly in the show. My bad... :(

My word, no need for the apologies...all is good :)

Some who have recurring roles would be Det. Vega, Det. Cavaliar , Det. Vartann, beings their not in it on a regular basis~

That role can also be extended to the lab rats (with the exceptions of Wendy, Hodges and David) Ecklie, other detectives such as Mitchell, and Judy's classed as semi-recurring.

Lindsey Lohen would probably pass out long before the scene was done shooting..:guffaw:

I'm sure they'll pick some no name to take over the role. I hope they up the age to at least 30 something though.

Correct, they are are not in the episodes every week, on Ecklie thank goodness:rolleyes:

It is not reported yet but they have cast the role of Kacey Monohan already. Ironically she guest starred on Criminal Minds in a two part cliffhanger that involved an explosion.

Is this true? I believe that actress is the daughter of CM's executive producer. Are you talking about Amanda Bernero from CM episode The Fisher King 1 & 2?

Not her.

This is a quote from her character to Hotch.
"No self-respecting cop wants to have his arse kicked by some broad with a posh British accent."
