Well, the lab rats did manage to survive without her for six years, I think they can manage it for another one. They can still be hilarious without her eg. Werewolves, Henry in Appendicitement, Bobby in Take My Life, Please.

Of course, this is on the assumption that they're coming back and won't just fade into the background so that this new tech/CSI can take the spotlight...

very true never really thought of that. And yeah there are other eps that are just as funny that she is not in. Appendicitement is a fantastic ep. i do feel sorry for henry in that when that woman wants him :lol: poor guy. really do hope they come back though and hope this new tech/CSi dont take all the spot light.

Was looking online and did see that Sienna Guillory is from my part of the world in england. but is now acting in america.

Here's her IMDB for those who want to know a little about her and what she's done. Doesn't look like too much big name stuff. I've probably seen her in Criminal Minds but nothing else there looks familar.

I remember seeing the trailer for "Eragon" which looked good, but then for some reason, I never went to see the film.

As for Wendy, my guess is that she was originally considered to be a replacement for Sara out in the field, and that's why Liz was promoted to a starring role. But when Jorja was brought back, that idea took a back seat while audience reaction to Sara's return was gauged (and later found to be generally favorable). I think at that point the powers that be considered Wendy an expendable character because she was no longer going out in the field. Not saying I agree with them, but it wouldn't surprise me if that were the line of thinking.

Yeah wendys character i think was also a replacement for sara while she was out the show. it is good to see sara back in the 10th series even if its a guest apperence but she was in practically in every episode she only missed an odd one. Will be interesting to see what this newbie will bring to CSI though.

By the way, before anyone jumps on this: Yes, I do know know that Lauren Lee Smith was brought in to be the "official" replacement for Jorja. But I also think that in the back of the minds of TPTB, there was this idea that if Lauren didn't work out, then Liz could be moved in as a quick replacement. But then Jorja came back this past season, and I think there was a bit of a test run to see what the audience reaction would be. When the audience reaction was favorable, that's where I think Wendy became a bit of a fifth wheel. Not Liz's fault, and nothing she could do about that, unfortunately.

But I can also understand why the producers look to see what works and then go with it. Bringing Jorja back -- especially as a return to Sara's earlier, stronger self, not the neurotic mess she became leading up to her departure -- was obviously a check mark in the "win" category, but it may have been that with that, Wendy lost her place in the producers' overall scheme of things.

What I'm most surprised at, if your theory is correct, is that the writers didn't realise they could just have both Sara and Wendy as CSI's. I mean assuming that it's possible for them to comprehend that there could be more than two female leads...

Even then, when Sara came back they could have just made it that Ecklie or whoever refused to let Wendy out into the field and so she stayed in DNA.

I'm not really sad that she's gone, but I hate not knowing why she's gone. Too many females have disappeared for no reason already!

I agree with Byline.I was never the biggest Sara fan but last season she was great .Having her back is like having a part of the old CSI back.IMO they should have given us more of Wendy as a character before linking her to Hodges.

Since she only appeared sporadically thoughout last season, they could explain it away as her visiting him. But if she's back as a lead... The audience is only going to suspend their disbelief for so long. I'm not getting into a discussion over the ship itself, I just want to know how tptb are going to handle this possible plot hole.

One would think that it could be cleared up with a mention that Grissom is now in Vegas but the grant that was mentioned in Family Affair is now being used to study some sort of insect at the body farm. Grissom then becomes like Mrs. Robbins or Mrs. Phillips...

I hope grissom doesnt become a Mrs. Robbins or Mrs. Phillips. be nice if he could do a mini apperance in one of the episodes. who knows what we are in store for in this new series.

Well if he does then it would be a complete turn-around for William Petersen, who stated time and time again, he was "done with CSI", after "One To Go" [he couldn't take Grissom any furthur] that was it. He returned to Chicago to do his plays. He does however still have the title of ex. producer, so anything is possible. He's changed his mind before and may do it again. At least a "guest spot". But it's highly unlikely. But it is absurb to see Sara, alone in Vegas after a long time affair and marriage, for her to leave him [in Paris] and return to a town she hated, makes absolutely no sense what-so-ever

She has mentioned him to Ray in "Unshockable" about her and him "looking for bugs in a canoe" and to Greg in "Long Ball" about their "long distance marriage" and said "so far so good" and to Ecklie how Dr. Grissom sends "his regards", and when she wasn't in a ep. she supposdly went to visit him in Paris~
