I was thinking the same thing... I would be a Bachelors of Arts in History a Masters of Science in Criminology

I still can't get over someone wrote a PhD in hotness.... :wtf: is all I have to say... Like my messenger says... WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO CSI??? :rolleyes:
 
I just read an article in TIME about Las Vegas and the recession. The city's going under, hard and fast. I'm curious to see if this will have an effect on a show based around the glitz and glamor of Sin City. Sure, the majority of cases take place away from The Strip and Fremont street, but we know those locales are there. I for one get excited whenever a case takes place at a casino or a high-end hotel or restaurant. Whenever they bring in the essence of Vegas, I feel more attached to the show.

I guess I'm just concerned if a show based in a failing city has a future. We're all concerned about the direction the show is taking with the characters. The departure of Riley, the return of Sara and everything Langston. What about the main character, the city itself?

Oooh good point about the sin being the main character. Didn't think of it that way. Yeah, I wonder too if the recession will be mentioned in the show. BTW, I love the quote in your sig. I forgot all about that. :lol:

Yeah and if the hotels wouldn't charge ridiculous prices to stay at their hotels, maybe they wouldn't be failing. :rolleyes: I mean they make a ton of money in the casinos and they have to charge your over $200 for a room (ok, not all hotels)? I mean it's nuts!
 
I bet you anything the casting call was on Craig's list, because I've gone on there before and they put the stupidest stuff!

Quick question; why bring on a new character when you just got rid of one? Couldn't you just improve the one you had instead of bringing in a new on for the fans to get used to? TPTB don't think...
 
^Good question kimbo..it's the same thing with CSI: NY..they got rid of one due to 'budget cuts' and then brought in another? It's confoozing!
 
Recurring characters don't matter in the same way as full time characters to them though. This cop is gonna be recurring.
 
The Millander case look intresting. I was really hoping to see Grissom and Sara again. I was gonna stop watching this show but i thought i will still watch it. First CSI: i ever watched XD.Then Miami.Then NY.
 
Little confused about Sara soloing a case, but this is CSI and they are..."special".

Not happy about the new cop. They should just bring Sofia back. Or Riley. Either or.

And I really hope they give some explanation as to Riley's disappearance. I wouldn't want, after her disagreement in the season finale with Ray, viewers to think she was nixed because of that.
 
I'd like to think Riley's departure would be explained by her taking a cop job (I think she's better suited to being a cop or even a homicide detective) in another judisdiction.
 
None of this is spoilery at this point, well some of it is, but there is a new promo for Season 10. It shows clips of CSI, mostly from last season, but eh, what the heck.

Now don't get excited as it doesn't look like it has any actual clips from Season 10. :wtf: They could have at least threw us a bone. :rolleyes: Geesh.

I guess they're trying to remind us why CSI is #1.
 
Yeah I saw that promo too, but it's just scenes from season 9, I was hoping for something new.

Anyway, I haven't seen this here yet, from TVGuide.com:

It was reported that on CSI, Nick Stokes would be getting a promotion. Can you maybe clarify what "promotion" means?
ADAM: Nick will act as Catherine's No. 2, working alongside her much in the same way she did with Grissom. But wait, you say, isn't that pretty much what he's already doing? Maybe, so it's about time they made it official. "It is a promotion for him to a supervisory position," a CBS rep says. Hey, in this economy, you take what you can get.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I figured the promotion would be. :) Thanks for posting that, Ankeila. :D It's nice to have confirmation.
