Agree 100% about H wanting to marry whores. Sorry folks, I hate prostitutes! But that man Horatio takes down killers, pedophiles, and scum of the earth but along comes a whore and he is so there saving their sorry butts. He would be better off being sick to his stomach about their lifestyles. I can see H trying to get them away from that life, but to tolerate it seems a double standard. He hates the men who do bad things but not the women. Oh well, that's H for ya. Love him but don't understand his morals or rationale. Hope I don't offend anyone. Sorry if I did.
Actually, I'm offended. I'm offended at the way you casually call prostitutes "whores". I'm offended at the way you imply that Horatio should hate the women who sell sex, not the men who buy sex and thus create the demand. I'm offended by the way you imply that being a prostitute is just as bad as being a pedophile or serial killer. And I'm not buying your half-assed apology.
TRIGGER WARNING: rape/sexual abuse (don't know what this means?

Did you know the average age of entry into prostitution is 12-14? Yes, that's right, most women end up in the lifestyle when they are
children. They are not fully grown adults who make choices in some kind of vacuum- they have no real ability to make a choice, or at the very least their choices are limited to "become a prostitute" or "continue living at home where step-dad beats me). Many are survivors of rape and abuse. They come from difficult backgrounds and have endured things you can't imagine. They see prostitution as inevitable, possibly their only way out to escape their abusive or drug-addicted relative who continuously hurts them. One day, a man comes along and tells them they're pretty, special, asks about their hopes and dreams. It's the first time anyone has given two shits about them, so it's not at all shocking if they accept his offer to take care of them. He is her pimp. He eases her into a world of selling her body. He keeps her in line with violence. She tries to escape, she gets beaten or raped. She doesn't make enough money, she gets beaten or raped.
Now, you might be saying "well, ok, they didn't have a choice then, but when they're older they do." You would be wrong. What options do they have? They have nowhere to live, unless they want to go back to their terrible home life. They likely dropped out of school, so many places won't hire them if they try to look for a job. They are treated like criminals by police, and with disdain by people such as yourself. They have no self-esteem. If they've attempted escape in the past, it was unsuccessful and likely caused them to be beaten by their pimp. Prostitution is all she's ever known, and to her, there is no way out.
Yes, there are some women who don't come from rough backgrounds and are not coerced at an early age that go into prostitution. But they do not represent all prostitutes, and their experience doesn't negate those of others.
