While you were watching the beginning, how many people besides me wanted to dress his wounds and hug and soothe him? Jon did an excellent job through that entire episode showing us how alone Ryan felt while going through everything.
I would just end up just hurting him more, on accident. :p But he did need a hug that epi. He should've told Calleigh, she would've given him one. :(

Ryan and Eric need a man hug. *That has nothing to do with my Hardy Boys shipperness.*

Oh, is it just me imagining things, or did I read/see an interview somewhere where Emily Procter said her and Jonathan sometimes dance together between scenes? Like, ballroom dance or something? Or was it someone else she said, or was that never said at all? xD

I've never seen that quote about the dancing, but I could imagine them doing it. Seems like they have a lot of fun on set.

I agree, Ryan and Eric definitely need to put the past behind them. Clear the air.

Add me to that list.

It sounds as if EP and Jon are pretty good friends. I remember reading somewhere that he and Emily jog together sometimes. And there is the "not with my Togo" comment when she heard that Ryan and Natalia might hook up on ELR arrival:). Hooking up with Ryan...that thought will make me happy for the rest of the work day:devil:

Love all the great pictures lal!
He's just so darn good looking  Now I can think about those pictures while I'm at work today.

Thanks lal for all the gorgeous pictures! As I have said before, one can never have too much Jon/Ryan:devil:

I was thinking. Let's say you were a writer on CSI:Miami and the TPTB came up to you and asked you to write a past/background/childhood for Ryan. Knowing his personality and what little we know about him, what would you come up with?

Here is what we know (if I forgot something, remind me!):

1. He was on patrol
2. He has a BS in Chemistry and working on a masters in genetics
3. He is a "little OCD"
4. He has a niece
5. He has a Uncle Ron in Miami who may or may not be a safecracker

I am curious to see what you all think:)

Well I always think of Ryan having a sister, and being raised by a single parent. For some reason I always think dad. Maybe his dad wasn't always nice to him, not abusive or anything, but you know. That kind of dad who wants their son to be the greatest son ever. You know, the boy. And I just can't see Ryan being that kind of kid. MAYBE his Uncle Ron was more understanding of him than his dad, and that's why it seems like (at least from Miami) he's closer with his Uncle than anyone else, since we've heard of him once and possibly twice if Uncle Ron is the safecracking uncle too.

But that all really has nothing to do with his personality or what we know about him. That's just how I imagine his life as a kid. :D I love creating back stories, for anyone! xD

I kind of had the feeling that his parents are troubled people and that his Uncle Ron basically raised him and his sibling(s) because his parents were in drug treatment facilities throughout his youth or something.

Oooh, I love these. :p Here's what I'd give him.
Small family.
Ryan the youngest of 3 children. 1 brother (6 years older than Ryan, ) & 1 sister (10 years older then Ryan, has daughter & is married).
Parents ( much older; mother a housewife, father a retired cop) both deceased when Ryan was 9 years old.
Older sister (particularly close to Ryan) took care of him after parent's death, & on occasion Uncle Ron (who I would make brother to Ryan's deceased father) would step in.
The older brother & Ryan would have a somewhat estranged relationship; he'd have left home early on after thier parents death & Ryan would not have been given the chance to get to know him well - they've been distant ever since. Then of course I'd later bring him in as part of a case & Ryan would get him out of whatever trouble he's in & save the day - older bro would be proud - Uncle Ron would tell Ryan he is just like his father. :D

I always thought there was a possibility that Ryan could be adopted too (but not by a completely different family). Maybe he's got an older "sister" who was 15-16 when she had a kid and couldn't raise it, so her parents raised it (that kid would be Ryan's older brother) and then when she was 25 or so, she got pregnant again, but didn't want the baby and such and so her parents got custody of Ryan too (already raising her first child). She eventually died due to drug OD and the boys remained with their grandparents, but never really knew their birth mother that well because she was always away in rehab facilities or just away period. So they consider their grandparents their parents. Then Ryan's older brother grew up, got married and had a kid. Uncle Ron would actually be Ryan's great uncle. :D

I love these!! :)

I always believed Ryan was raised in a house over run by men. In my opinion he's the youngest of three boys ranging in ages from 35 or so to his current age. I believe his niece is the daughter of his oldest brother. Ryan idolizes his oldest brother (who was a marine) so much so that when he died, it effected him profoundly and was ultimately the reason he became a cop.

His poor mom, raising three boys and a husband. LOL!! :guffaw:

I also see Ryan as the youngest child.Has a brother 2-3 years older and Ryan has always had to try harder because this older brother was so good at everything, this is part of the reason that Ryan can be competive. His Uncle Ron encouraged Ryan to just be himself, and Ryan is quite close to this uncle.Ryan's father doesn't believe he is living up to his full potential, and was quite disappointed with Ryan's chosen field.Ryan's mother loves both sons ,and has often been accused of babying her children too much.
