I have a question too, directed towards LadySaraButterfly but if anyone knows then fill me in,
I want to write a story, not nessicarily an RP, where several people are adding to it, but one person writes lets say a paragraph or two then someone else adds more to the story. Is that considered an RP or is that something else
I want to write one about Det. Vartann and I thought that would be a good way to get more people writing also
?my question is can we do that?
Does any of this make sense

Kinda like add a line... I don't think its necessarily an RP.

I'm a lot like SaraSidleStokes, have to post after work.

What I did during my recent computer problems was give permission for my char (usually Mac) to be moved if necessary to keep the story going while I was offline, although no one ever did.

Agree one hundred percent with you LSB.

Role playing is for details and if users aren't giving enough into their posts, what's the point in even enjoying a well played Rp?

That's a good idea, though both parties would have to agree to it cause I think some people are very particular about the character they're playing. Everyone has a unique style so to speak. :)

And yeah I agree with LSB, RPs are way more fun if the posts are well thought-out.

I got an idea. Do you guys want to have like an RP awards thing? Like Best Grissom, Best Horatio, Best Made-up Character. Heh. Just a thought. It could be fun...

Like I said, just a thought. ;)

Now this sounds fun. Maybe sometimes people need the boost to be creative. Honestly, getting people intersted in reading a role play requires some hard work and brain power. Everyone of you who post in the role plays here have the ability to get descriptive and bring these characters to life. When someone opens up the thread to read your story, you want the characters to jump off the page. I have done a few role plays myself including Kiss Kiss Yo Bang and over time I have really tried to progress the quality of my writing. :D

This is allowed in Fan Fic. Does remind me of Add a Line, but more in story format rather role play.

SaraSidleStokes I couldn't tack up the role plays cause that would be unfair to single out just one, but yes you can add them to your favorites list as Ilovegrissom1 pointed out to you. Thank you for mentioning that feature.

It's great to see everyone being so helpful. ;)

the awards could be cute. There are some good players on here. Might have trouble with Mac though since I've kinda cornered the market LOL.

Thanks everyone else for being so helpful as well, and the awards do sound like a good idea. I have been in two RP's both Nick and It's fun to write someone that you don't know that much about.
Catergories could include also ...
best newcomer
best love scene (pg-13) of course
best suspense scene..
well you get the idea :)

yeah, I could type a page and a half to a post if I really really wanted to, although, no one wants to read a page and a half.....I wanted to explain that I can write a lot more if I have something to work with, but I have to go to a b-day party. I like the idea for the awards.

I really appreciate everyones help and I dont know why I didnt notice the Favorite Topic feature before (thanks again Jess)
I think the RP awards would be great I know it would boost my enthusiam
For me I'm better at RPing because I can focus on just one character (usually) I'm Sara in a few and because I'm so much like her I can easily write how I think she'd respond and or feel in any given situation whereas with Fanfics I have to focus on all the characters and sadly usually other then Sara I get the rest of them OOC
Its much easier to RP with someone you can work off of that has in depth posts off the top of My head I work well with hhunter,Hestia,NSFan and a few others
(I remember working well off of you as well LSB when we had been in the Grillow one together you are a very good RPer)
