It was in print so I want to say it was in the CSI Companion but it could have been something I read on one of the now-defunct Brass sites like "Don't Make Me Ask You Twice". I'll have to hunt around and see if I can find it. I saved some of those interviews just in case the site did disappear.

I know the part about PG initially not liking that Ellie wasn't Brass's was from the Companion.

Not sure what page it was on...had to hit search. I was a little upset :lol: when I couldn't find a Brass page. Even Hodges had one! All I could see was 2 pages--is my computer acting up?--but I found it!
I work weekends, 8, 12 or 16 hours a day...I'll make sure I keep this on the first page!

I wasn't too fond of Brass at the beginning.... he seemed a little too harsh towards the CSI's but in the years ensuing he has really become an important member of the cast. I don't think it would be the same without him. I love his one line quips.

I know I didn't like him at the beginning either. But what is great is how much PG had to do with changing the character for the better. Now he is my favorite.

I was beginning to think this thread fell off the board. It's great to see some chatter over here in addition to the JB forum.

I didn't mind Brass in the beginning. I actually thought Warrick was the bigger jerk. But I'm glad that PG didn't like Pilot!Brass and made the character his own. I'm also glad Brass got kicked back to homicide. The guy rocks as a bad-ass detective. I don't think he would have rocked as a CSI Supervisor.

It's great to see some chatter over here in addition to the JB forum.

Yes, it is nice to see some chatter here. I suspect people have the idea that Brass isn't popular because he doesn't have an active thread but it's just that most of us play on the JB forum.

redwingsgirl514, check out comments in other threads. You'll see Nick's trauma and Sara's trauma and Greg's trauma mentioned but rarely will you see any mention about Brass's trauma.

As much as I would love for there to be a huge PG/Brass following, I am kind of glad that it is a smaller community. The individuals who post in the this thread regularly and over at the JB forum are dedicated to him and truly appreciate him and what he does for the show/character. We love him for more than just his one-liners too.

Ahh, yes, the let's-not-give-Jim-proper-continuity-after-he-almost-dies issue...Gets my blood boiling every time, no matter how many times it's brought up.

don't worry bout Jim not getting recognition. He doesn't need it - cos he's just what he is - a fabulous character, and (imo) second only to Grissom in importance on the show. He's one of the 3 leads, which is something a lot of CSI fans either don't realise, or don't want to know. Cos it makes him a more integral a part of the show than the likes of Nick and Greg.

Seriously - CSI can lose the likes of Warrick, Nick and Greg, and it won't miss a beat. But Griss, Brass and Cath - they lose their 3 main guys, and the show is down the swanny. And the bosses know that, even if some fans don't.

The show is what it is on the strength of it's 3 lead actors - all of them are fabulous.

Jim Brass is an overwhelming presence on CSI, and I don't know of one fan who doesn't rate him with an A+, I love all his inter-reaction with the team and his soft touch with Sara, how he's always been there for her, in a fatherly gentle way:thumbsup:& his always over the top snarky/hilarious remarks to the perpertrators and people of interest on the crime investigation!

Does anyone know yet if Paul has definitely re-signed with the show. Because I DEFINITELY want more Brass next season. And if they brought Sofia back to hang out with him, that would be just perfect - but probably way too much to expect from TPTB.

The last thing I read was that Marg was the last one remaining to re-up their contract. I think we would have heard by now if PG didn't sign his. But not having a definate confirmation still kind of worries me. Especially with all the rumors of new cast members coming up in the new season.

Oh, and Sofia HAS to come back! And you're right, that's too much to ask from TPTB.
