NY Forum Trip To LA #2

Wow, you guys are a bunch of beautiful, beaufitul people. Jkladis and his pictures cracked me up. I was so hoping for a picture of him eating a giant banana or something. ;) And Kristine sleeping at the bowling alley? Priceless. :lol: Thank you so much for sharing the pictures! :) Makes me more adamant than ever to attend the next meet.

There will be a next meet in LA, right?

Why thank you... although adorable isn't a word people usually use to describe either myself or my husband. Everyone on the trip was adorable though, not a freak amongst us... :p :lol: The husband was a good sport though, hats off to him for putting up with NY fangirls for 4 days. He'll never be the same after that trip to Barnes and Noble. That said, he is quite keen on attending a meet up next year if there is one, but I doubt he'll attend the 'special movie night'. ;)

Yes, there will be another meet-up next year. Probably around the same time. A few people have mentioned wanting to do the meet-up in New Year next year, but Top and I have made an executive decision -- LA again next year. The reasoning is simple, but I hope it doesn't come off too bitchy. The bottom line is that we don't have a regular board member who lives in the city and would have sufficient familiarity and organizational skills to plan it. Therefore, Top and I will plan again next year as that is the easiest way for us to ensure that nothing falls through the cracks. The reason we're sticking with LA is that neither of us have the knowledge to plan it in NYC. And though we're bonded by a show set in NY, it's filmed in LA, so LA makes sense. Plus, there is so much to do in LA, that we could plan different activities next year and still not hit everything.

One activity is definitely set already -- pizza and porn night. There seemed a clear need for a night in which we just stay in and everyone can relax and have a better opportunity to talk. And what better theme for movie night than porn? More specifically, gay cop porn. :lol:

Elsie - Mr_Elsie won't be joining us for movie night? :eek: But ... but ... why not? :confused: I can't understand how that theme could possibly not appeal to all. :lol: :lol: :lol: Sorry Mr_Elsie, you're sadly outnumbered here. The kind of porn that might appeal to you, in which a group of sorority girls have a pillow fight in their panties and then [CENSORED] each other, just doesn't appeal to us in the way that gay cop porn does. ;)

Ooohh... next year. I might not be able to swing it, Bailey being the least of the issues. Working in politics means that next summer is going to be one long drama session and I don't know if I'll be able to get away :(

Yay, there's a next year! *dances* Now, I just have to get a job, and make sure taht it doesn't clash with college and my funds aren't rubbished and I'll be there! :lol:

It seems as if you had a really fabulous time! Wish I wouldn't live so far away! But who knows, a year takes a while and mabe I can join next time... Apart from the fact that I've never been to the US before (Just saw a few spots here in Europe) the meeting really sounded quite enjoyable.
 
I would really love to make it next year & my chances would probably be greater too, as I'll have more money & more time to plan & such. I'm down for any sort of porn anytime :devil:.

But surely you can explain the desirability of a mass gay cop porn viewing session to Obama and Hillary and they'll see if they can reschedule whatever they might have planned four months later, right? :confused:
 
Next year's trip will be very cool. Those of you that went this year--there will be tons of different stuff to do here, so it won't be like you'd be going on the same trip all over again. In fact, I believe the CSI museum exhibit might be in L.A. around the time we'd do the trip next year (though I can't swear by it), so that might be something fun to tie in with the trip. There are also many, many more things we can do around here. And for those of you who didn't make it this year but might next, we promise a good time.

MrElsie, even if you aren't up for the movie night ;) , it's awesome that you're game for another meetup! :cool: And Elsie and MrElsie, you are indeed an adorable couple. :cool:

I promise, I'm going to upload my pics soon. Yes, I know I suck. :p Thumpy, I don't know if you e-mailed yours out, but I haven't seen them yet!

Awwww.......I'm gonna be in NYC in July next year..My daughter, Linz, wants to go there for her 21st...I took her to NY for her 16th and she fell in love with the place..I was temporarily heartened thinking that next years meet up would be in NY............but, hey.....we'll do some star spotting for ya
