Perhaps we could compromise with a little fangirl on cop porn? That way you get porn that is palatable to the male species and we get what we really want. Now if only those damn 'cops' would cooperate. :rolleyes:

Btw, just wanted to remind anyone sharing photo galleries not to post any links to their gallery as most likely contain pics of people who do not wish to appear on the board. Any pic distribution needs to be by email only, with the exception of pics of people who have consented to having their pic posted.

And uhm, we're already planning one for next year? AWESOME!! If it's in the same period (late July/August) I should be fine.

Love it that you guys are planning to do something different, I felt like I didn't get a chance to talk to some of you guys so I'm looking forward to getting another chance. :D

Yeah, we realize there are a couple modifications that should be made for next year. First, the itinerary was too full. People who tried to attend everything ended up exhausted. I'm thinking that can be alleviated by not scheduling any group activities until dinner time and just making recommendations for stuff to do during the day, which people can either do or not do. An easy example might be instead of doing a group studio tour, provide info on how to get tickets to a show taping, which people can either break into small groups and pursue (you can't get 20 people into a taping) or skip.

The second issue, aside from too much scheduled activity, was the lack of ability to really talk. Sitting at a large table for dinner or trying to talk at a noisey club didn't foster in-depth conversation. Hence, the incarnation of pizza and porn night. The reality is that we're internet dorks who don't necessarily need tp go out every night, so we can try to schedule some more chill stuff for next year. Maybe a bonfire on the beach, if there are any beaches that still allow that. Stuff like that. Kick out any ideas if you've got them.

Any suggestions are definitely welcome and please don't hesityate to point out any other issues with the planning of this year's trip. We want it to be something everyone truly enjoys, so it's helpful to know what things people didn't enjoy from this past trip.
 
^ Me? A dork? *looks around* Uhm... yes. :D I can't even remember the last time I went clubbing! :lol:

Oh, and mine wasn't by any means a critic to the meeting, it's just that for the person I am I usually need time to get comfortable around 'new' people and chill out/talking generally helps.

Talking and chilling is definately a great thing to add to the agenda. Could hear lots of laughter going on all the time, but couldn't always hear the cause.... ;)
 
OK all, I will be sending the pics to everyone now. I sent them to Deb as a test run to see if she got them and I did the Kodak thingie correctly. (apparently I did) So I will be sending them to everyone that went now! :)

EDIT: OK I have just e-mailed my photos to the rest of the group that went on the trip. So, if you didn't get it, let me know, because then I will need to change your e-mail address.

Also, Pizza and porn night is always a good time in my book. Plus I am still waiting for that porn link MrsG has. :confused: ;)
 
The trip sounds like so much fun! I'm now in serious talks with mum about coming over for next years trip. It should be ok, as college should hopefully be on summer break, only major problem is funds. But, I always love a challenge! :D

Be careful--you don't want to make jkladis jealous...I think he considers both his territory. :eek:

Next year, I definitely think we should head up to Zuma Beach in Malibu and spend the day there. We'll get umbrellas for the paler folks, but I think it's less touristy and would give us more time to sit out and just talk.

I love the idea of pizza and porn night. :devil: I thought bowling was great, too. Maybe mini-golf next year? :lol: *ducks*

I also think it might be fun to do a hike, but maybe we could find a less rigorous one for those who want a more leisurely hike. And yeah, not at 8 in the morning. :p

I'm sure I'll come up with many more ideas and stuff. Next year will be awesome. :cool:

Eddie got his t-shirt and the photo--he says they're hysterical and says to please pass along his thanks! :D So that is what I'm doing! :D Who knows, maybe he'll wear it out bowling one night just like we did...

It was leisurely. Any more leisurely and it would just be a walk, not a hike. :p ;) But seriously, it was fun and would be great to do something similar that everyone could join in with (if they want to of course). :)

I'm sure next year will be great, all the ideas already are fantastic.

Hehe, if we play mini-golf, I can predict a lot of suggestive pictures with brightly-colored golf balls. :lol:

I'm definitely game for activities that let us enjoy the great things California has to offer but still spend quality time with the people we're coming to hang out with. ;)

And y'all aren't allowed to cancel Porn Night. I'm already looking forward to it. :lol: I still need to find a place around here to get a video so I can be prepared well in advance. :devil:
