NY Forum Trip To LA #2

My favorite moments from the trip? Lookaboomerang did hit on a couple I meant to mention and haven't yet. Her airline. Seriously people, how the hell can you pick someone up from the airport when they neglect to tell you their airline has changed? :D I tried to be super cool and actually park and go inside to meet her since it was her first ever flight and LAX is a big place. Thumpy and I got there way ass early, parked, went inside to the correct meeting spot and then ... oh, wait, that's right -- Lookaboomerang ended up in a completely different terminal than we were in because she neglected to mention that when she changed flights, she also changed airlines. WTF???

Other favorites:

* My roomies are whiny little b*tches. But we've already covered that.

* My group was 3 1/2 hours late to the beach on Saturday. WTF? I'm never late for anything ... or at least not until this trip.

* Fay and 1CSIMFan's choice in literature. Very educational.

* Also educational -- discovering a new use for Mein Kampf.  I also learned that men can [CENSORED] in a mostly missionary style position on public restroom sinks. Oddly, this was not new information to Fay.

* Staying up until 4:30 am chatting with my online buddies in person.

* Finding that not a single one of the girls is actually a 50 year old perv. Everyone is exactly who they claim to be.

Much more will spring to mind. This is what just comes off the top of my head.

Hi Guys

I bowed to peer pressure and registered. :)

We got back home about 11am UK time including a stop for a greasy breakfast on the motorway. Luckily our luggage made it too as I had put my car keys in one of our suitcases which I didn't realise until we were in the air. d'oh! Apparently, I'd have been in "a world of trouble".

It was great to meet you all. Big thanks must go to MrsG and Top for organising the itinerary. Think I can speak for Laura when I say we had an absolute blast and looking forward to next year if there's a repeat, although if we can move it closer to the uk i'd be most obliged. :D

I seemed to be laughing most of the trip but my favourite comedy moment was the "hike" and aftermath. jeez i thought i was unfit ;) all the moaning and cussing made me laugh a lot - faces like angels and mouths like truckers! ;)

Barnes and Noble was fun - I've never been so interested in Military History. :D

Big Wangs is my new favourite eatery - hot wings and wall to wall ESPN. Live the dream....

Is it just me or was the fugly tie pic of springmoon in 3D? :)

Anyway, enough rambling from me for now. You girls rock!

Forgive the double posting. Elsie posted just a minute before me, so I missed what she said when I posted.

 Like MrsG, I totally have a couples crush on Elsie and MrElsie. :D Those two are so awesome!

 I'm sure MrElsie will be pleased. And yes, that's his username now that he has registered! Everyone was awesome and we had a fantastic time. :D
Excellent! It'll be our mission to sell a man on the beauty of Danny / Flack. Once we can turn a married man on to gay porn, we'll know we've done our job.

Window shopping in Barney's and on Rodeo Drive. Someone should have tried that dress on though... ;)
Damn it. I should have asked more questions since this dress made such an impression.

Bonding with midnight over our mutual opinion of Danny. I'm glad I'm not the only one...
What??? Why didn't I know this? There was an awefully "steep" hill I could have thrown you off.

Yes, that's right, Elsie isn't a Danny fan and we're slowly building an army. And we shall overcome. You'll see. YOU'LL ALL SEE!

My favorite part was meeting everyone. My least favorite part was no Scottie :(

faces like angels and mouths like truckers!

So, so, SOOOOOOOOO true. The first night my little non-CSI self chose to sit at the far end of the table so all the folks from the board could sit and talk to each other. I would hear VERY LOUD bits and pieces of conversations and turn to Camelot in horror and shock and ask "Did she really just say _____________" The answer was always "Yes, she did." :) I spent a lot of time looking around wondering how many other people in the restaurants were getting an earful about gay porn.

And though I never got to go to the restaurant one of my favorite things was when I was golfing with a friend and received the following text message:
12,000 calorie breakfast served by a hottie boombalottie. We love L.A.

So it is true...the pancakes at that restaurant are as big as your ass. You could start a weight lifting program just by lifting the leftovers that Camelot and Orison brought back!

There was an awefully "steep" hill

Just in case you guys couldn't tell, I will most likely never live down the hike or airport stories. Just like Carmine will never hear the end of "Flack is pretty cute sometimes!", I will never hear the end of elderly Asians and chihuahuas making it up the hill before I did. Wait. I said 'hill' there, I meant to say MOUNTAIN because that's what it was.

More trip highlights:

-$6 Coronas. Lori, apparently that is the norm around here too. I asked around and it's between $5-6 here too.

-Someone sitting on the floor at Boulevard3 in her dress. This would be the same person who had A LOT to drink the same night and woke up Sunday morning wondering why they didn't feel good.

-Thursday evening and Sunday morning excursions. ;)

MrElsie, I knew we'd wear you down! Glad you're here! :D

Heeeeeeeeeeeey!!! To whoever originally said that -- f*** you.

Well, we aren't bonded by our mutual fascination with Friday night bingo. I'll give you that.

Cute text message. It's true. No exaggeration. The pancakes are as big as your ass. They are so huge that they become one of life's great mysteries -- why are they so damn big? Whose decision was that? And are they free if you can finish them?

Another favorite moment:
"I always knew you liked boys because you love [CENSORED] me in the ... "

 Did nobody make that sound clip? :( That was hysterical. I was so disappointed with her. :(

Shopping at Barnes & Noble on Sunday. A purchase was made by a few people that guarantees some hot Danny/Flack fics are in our future...
Why, I have no idea who you're talking about.

Of course, Barnes and Noble. 1CSIMFan has no shame.
Come on Elsie, you know you loved it :p...MrElsie too. BTW, welcome to Talk MrElsie. You miss us, don't you? ;) :p

Fay and 1CSIMFan's choice in literature. Very educational.
Again, I have no idea what you're talking about.

Damn, I knew I forgot something that was on my shopping list. :( Who is the retard that described that dress as "green" though? I'd never have found it!

Thanks for posting pics, Elsie! Everyone else who was there, c'mon, don't be stingy. Pony up the goods!

It was a MOUNTAIN, not a hill. I can still picture the little Asian man in his polyester pants cruising down it without breaking a sweat. That's fine, everyone can laugh all they want, it was brutal.

Yeah, I kind of figured that, being in NY. I won't mention what I said when I bought my Corona and paid $6 for it. Yes, faces of angels and mouths of truckers come to mind ;)

-Thursday evening and Sunday morning excursions. ;)

are the best! :p There are hopefully many, many more to come! ;)
MrElsie, I knew we'd wear you down! Glad you're here! :D

YES! Welcome MrElise to the craziness that you met this last weekend! Enjoy your time here!

Yeah, we sucked bad there. Laziness set in and my eyes were burning from seeing Mein Kampf from the night before. I have learned more about gay men in one weekend than in 31 years of my life.

EDIT: I will upload my pics this evening and post some. :)

Orison and I got back late last night after a few delays and a long wait for luggage. I still feel like I am on LA time and I actuallly am wishing that I still was. ;)

It was fabulous meeting everyone and I had a really great time. I was feeling like quite the rockstar that I stayed out way past my bedtime most nights, that is until I read about the 4 a.m. festivities. So I guesse I will consider myself more of a mainstream aging popstar and leave it at that.

There are many things I would love to highlight that made the trip so much fun, but I will narrow it down to a few:

Friday night bowling- The place was loud and fun and although the next day I felt like I ripped my arms out of my sockets, I had a blast. I am grateful that I made it through the night without landing on my ass.

-speaking of ....the pancakes the size of your ass. Holy crap that was no exageration. We took Mrs, G's recommendation and went for breakfast. I swear I am still full. I was actually concerned that the airlines were going to charge me for the extra weight.

-Big Wangs- Tater tots on the menu. Nuff said.

-Missed the hike, apparently we needed a diagram BEFORE the hike just to figure out where everyone was meeting. It was the only time our GPS Thomasita let us down (oops). After the drawings, photos and stories however, I feel like I was there.

-The club was gorgeous, although all my worries about a proper dress were for nothing. Had I a pair of shorts and some Jimmy Choos I would have been stylin.

It was great to meet you all and I look forward to seeing some more pics and hearing the stories. :D

Gosh, don't kill me but ... that dress actually looks okay. Is it a minidress or something?

So great to hear Big Wang's is good! I'm happy at least one of the CSI:NY guys is living up to his reputation. :p :p :p Oh, as for gay sex, yeah. They can pretty much do it in any position, any where.

And what the ... MrElsie is a fan of D/F?! Well then, the meet's done its job!
