That sounds good :) I would love to get feedback to my stories as I never wrote a fic before... and I would love to give feedback :D

I guess it won't be too difficult to get the clue who the writer is on some of the stories because every writer has a certain writing style. That's something you can't change.
But I would like it that way :) That way nobody is standing under that much pressure, like it would maybe be when we would vote for a story.

I just got another song idea to add to the list for next time. "Paint It Black" (Rolling Stones). I don't know why I thought of that song. My head is like a jukebox sometimes and that song was playing in it... and I just thought "good for a Nick fic possibly." :lol:

Okay, I just had to post that before I forget it. Gotta go finish lunch and then going to go see Star Trek. :)

I like the random pick for the song, your right it adds the challenge to the writing. Also, I like the review/feedback idea, that sounds great.

I really like the idea of posting anonymously. Everyone on an even keel so to speak.

I also thumbs up the random song choice. Although I had some ideas for the songs I submitted, it was nice to have something totally different to think about. I'm just glad I got inspired with an idea!

It makes the challenge a real challenge, you know? And posting anonymously might give new writers the motivation they need to write a fic without fear.

All in all, I think this is a great challenge!

Yay! I still have my story and I was so sure I would simply put it in the paper bin after reading it again :lol:

But maybe my deadline saved me from doing so ;)
I guess I need to stick with it till the end...

Today I'll just make what I think are grammar corrections :lol:

What can I do when my ending is too simple and flat??? That will need an extra hour thinking...

Yay NickyFan! Sometimes all it takes is to sleep on it!

I'm working on mine today. But I have other stories I'm writing to, I just hope I don't get confused and write part of one story into the other :guffaw:

So how is everyone else doing? One week to the deadline!

I'm thinking that mine isn't really very interesting. And yet, somehow, I'm almost out of words and not nearly finished! I think that's going to make it seem a bit rushed. But oh well...maybe that's part of what this exercise is for...learning how to write more concisely. For me at least! :)

As long as people critique and not criticize...It is all good to me. What would be really cool is at some point we attempt to guess who wrote what..there are some really great personalities on this board,it shows in their writings too and once we get to know the new comers writing styles it might be fun to take a guess ...some of us are predictable,it would challenge us to differ a little to keep people guessing. Just a thought!

I think that too... I mean everyone has a certain writing style and I'm sure that if everybody is reading the story with "really" open eyes it's not that difficult to find out who wrote what :lol:

I'd like that... my stories would be the ones with three words :guffaw:

Unbelievable! :wtf: Just unbelievable! I have mine done. :eek:

It's a little over 700 words and I might still change a couple of things, but I think its done.

I did last night in, like, a few hours. :shifty: Is that ok? :shifty: Ugh, I hope its ok. :p

Suggestion...

Maybe each person who is entering the contest can offer one suggestion on a song,each writer offers one suggestion and continue doing what we are doing with the pick. If we have only one choice then that song will be one that you have truly considered to be one that a story can be written about. I know I could offer twenty songs but if I could only choose one then I would consider my choice more carefully.

Just a suggestion!

Just so I understand, you mean each person can just submit one song for consideration, then we still pick it at random?

I'm good with that. What do the rest of you think?

I am almost done, but I am going to be over 2,000 words! :( What to do?! What to do?!

Crud. Oh well. It sucks anyway, so might as well take some parts out to make it suck AND be confusing. :lol:
