Nick and Mandy - "Sing it Dude!"

i like this thread it's interesting. i've been a CSI fan for years but after Sara left and Grey's Anatomy moved to thursdays i haven't really been putting in the effort to watch the show that much.

i've seen a few eps from last season and this season and i can definately see Nick and Mandy together. i was so happy when they brought her back after so many years. i'll always remember the scene from like either 1st or 2nd season when Nick goes "Mandy give me something dandy" and she just grumpily gives him his info and then walks away lol. they'd be very cute together as a couple..... maybe i should start putting in more effort to watch CSI now....

I was extremely happy to see the little scene between Nick and Mandy in the last episode. Short and sweet but could possibly mean a whole lot more then just the regular interaction. Perhaps I'm reading more into it then I should, out of hope for the pairing, but the way she responded to him made the wheels in my head turn.

"...Perfect timing!" Nick says with a grin while Mandy responds with "...As always," in a quiet almost shy-like tone.

I didn't want the scene to end after that.

Their scenes are so sweet and as I've said before Nick always, always has a big smile when he and Mandy interact. I don't know why these two were never thought of before.

I know George doesn't want the character of Nick to date anyone at work, but hey HE DOESN'T RUN THE SHOW so...
Yeah I wonder if his timing is perfect in all things.. ru

Rescuing this thread..hopefully our girl will be back soon.

I finally got to watch Let It Bleed and they were just so cute together.

Here's a question for everyone in the thread:

Do you think they're already together and just keeping it quiet in the lab, or are they still hovering around each other?

You know what? I was just thinking the same thing! I mean, they smile when they see each other and what brought on the whole "Oh Mandy" bit.

Now offscreen, I think George probably cracked a joke about the song and it went from there. He's known for coming up with little things like that such as Super Dave for Dave the Coroner.

But onscreen, I wouldnt be surprised if TPTB (if they are feeling generous) suddenly just make it known that they are dating to us and not to others.

And in the last scene in Gedda, he may have checked out the waitress but he didnt' do anything, even after Warrick left.

So, I think they are. But that's just me.

Well, if we be realistic in the CSI fantasy world...lol, Nick did say something along the lines of not being cool with the whole deal of dating in the workplace, BUT...they could just be empty words to deter unwanted gossip within the confines of the lab. Given both their personalities and positions in the department, that would be one thing both wouldn't want. (like I mentioned before)

If not already together, I think they probably at least shared some time together outside of work. A date or two perhaps? I mean, they seem to be rather comfortable in each others presence. More then just two average working colleagues. Maybe they hung out as "friends" ? But I wanna be optimistic and say yes they are together!

I wondered about that last episode. She seem to know tha Nick is coming to her lab and she shocked him before he said anything about his results.

Well, if we're talking canon here . . . whether they're doin' it or not, I don't know. I'm guessing not.

But if they are doin' it, I just hope that the story is done properly this time. With GSR, the whole thing was just all of a sudden without any backstory at all.

No ugly robes like in the cannon GSR eppy:shifty:

Just bringing this thread up a notch. I'm really hoping we get some more Mandy and Nick this season. I think the guy needs something after the hell he's gone through.
And I'm noticing there's a Nick/Riley thread. I don't want to bash another ship but lord she is way too young for Nick. She's also more interested in Greg.
So hopefuly more people can sign up after all with the GSR gone there's got to be something for Nick. I prefer Mandy.

If they did start a canon ship again, I think they'd keep it a lot more subtle. After what happened with the reaction to GSR, I can't see them wanting to make it as overt as the other ship was.

But I think subtle would work for Mandy and Nick. Their relationship together is already like that, so it would stay that way.

I don't think their relationship would be anything like or done anything like GSR...and if so, I'd probably cry . I would much prefer the subtle way of going about it. Like Drumchik said, their relationship together already is somewhat like it. Little hints here and there, to show that there is or may be something going on and leave the rest up to the imaginations of the fans.

I know there is nothing official about where they may stand with each other and again, there is a possiblity that there is nothing going on other then a healthy friendship, but we're only basing it on what we've seen thus far and of course our own personal want for it to be...well I am anyway.

In my opinion, I can't really see Reiley being in the picture for Nick and I am not about to bash that possible ship for to each their own, but personally, I think there is more chemistry between Nick and Mandy, then with Reiley. She seems more suited in personality wise with Greg...again, only my opinion.

As for that red-head in the diner at the end of season 8, well, I like to think that Nick's "supposed" interest in that waitress was just to steer possible suspision away from the REAL relationship at hand...but really do nothing about it. (oh the thoughts that go through my head)

No bashing but if not Mandy, I'd be okay with Catherine-in fact Catherine being the older one I'd be high-fiving the woman!

But the thing I love about Nick and Mandy is they just a natural sweetness. There's none of this godforsaken angst that plagued Grissom and Sara because the two of them were so friggin dysfunctional.

Nick and Mandy both have outgoing personalities and generally like people-well Nick is a bit jaded but Mandy seems to harbour some optimism about people that would be of benefit to Nicky.
