She walked right beside him, afraid if she didn't, he'd leave her. "I'm starving. Where should we go?"

"i don't know, it's vegas so everything's open. where's lindsey, do we have to pick her up?"

She nodded. "She's at my mom's. What would you recommemd?"

"how good are your eggs?" he said leaning over to kiss her cheek as he got in the drivers seat of his car.

She smiled. "Lindsey loves my scrambled. She likes them with hot sauce. Do you?"

" never tried it, but i'm up for anything" his whole inside glowed with joy and it was reflected in his eyes and smile.

She'd never seen him this happy. She smiled at his enthusiasm as she opened her door. "Lindsey'll be thrilled. I know she wil."

"that's good 'cause i sure am. how come it took you so long to come around anyway, i've only been waiting here what 5, 6 years?" the engine started up and he pulled out of the parking lot.

She laughed and squeezed his hand. "I was scared, Warrick. If I'd told you and you only liked me as a friend, I'd have been crushed."

"that's okay, the thing is you finally did tell me" he siad pulling up to her driveway and opening the car door for her.

She smiled at his gesture. "Thanks. So, I guess chivalry isn't dead." She chuckled.

"i guess not your highness" warrick said positively beaming as he winked at her.

She laughed and winked back. She stumbled a little stepping down from the car. She gasped, trying to catch herself.

"whoa" warrick said catching her by the elbow. he gave her a kiss on the cheek as he held her hand when they walked inside.

She laughed, flushing. "Great. Now you know why they used to call me Catherine the Klutz. I was hopin' you'd never see that side of me."
