New World Order: Conspiracy Theory ( & A Whole Lot More)

Just interjecting my point of view on the subject...

I'm usually quite into these (world) conspiracies; like was it actually Titanic the 'Unsinkable' ship that sunk, or was it one of her sister ships? However, I don't believe a word of it. That wikipedia page is obviousley being written by other strong believers in this conspiracy to write belief as fact. I don't want to fight, it's just what I think.

I think just to surprise the world I'll become a politician and show people that not all of 'us' (in the future sense)are blood-sucking creatures. On second thought, I'll just stick with my science and languages studies.

If this NWO happens, oh well, if it doesn't, oh well; I imagine that taxes will still rise, people will still kill each other, people will still be bickering and global warming will still cook the world from the inside.

A good point. I was thinking that myself but forgot to comment.

True dat. I mean, maybe it's been in play forever already anyway. Things were crappy in the past and they're still crappy today. Maybe that's the best we can ever hope for! :p

DaWacko also made another excellent point, one that I also should have mentioned before but of course my brain isn't always willing to contribute when I want it to... :p Anyway, her point was that the US should solve all their own domestic issues before they go off trying to "save the world" from the evil minions of ***insert radical religious sect of your choice here***. They have a huge population that is usually misrepresented and basically mistreated by the government. I may sound like a broken record, but education, healthcare, safety of its citizens against local, society created violence... There are just way too many issues to mention here.

Yes, life in the US is clearly much better on the whole than many other countries. But a country that wealthy and powerful should still be able to prioritize a little better, methinks. Look after your own first and foremost.

Oh, and I'm looking forward to your comments, desert. Not that roka hasn't put out a lot of interesting things already. :)

I'm not sure what you're saying here? We are constantly educating our children, so this should be ingrained in the lessons.
Baba,
If you want to influence present policy you have to be an adult. So there´s no use explaining policy to children, because they´re not 18 yet.

We could wait for them to grew up.
But in my opinion we´re lacking this time.

Am I clearer now? :(

explain why the world would have ceased to exist if Gore had taken the place of Bush.
Actually, roka, I said that America would have ceased to exist, NOT the world. Gore would not have grounded air traffic. He would not have taken the steps to protect the US that Bush has taken. Gore would have been re-active, whereas Bush (after reacting to 9/11) has been pro-active in preventing terrorism on US soil. Gore would not have surrounded himself with strong leadership such as Rumsfeld and Cheney. Love them or hate them, the Bush Administration is overflowing with individuals who know the score. Clinton and his administration were too concerned with selling the US out to China and other foes.

If you want to know the score, look at Russia. Putin, former KGB top dog, is pulling the strings for Iran, North Korea and China. Why do you think UN Security Council can't get required votes to get anything done. Russia is still smarting from democratization and dissolution of USSR.

PrettyEyes, you seem to favour Gore. May I tell you two intentions Bush and Gore have in common?

Bush and Gore are pro death-penalty.
Bush and Gore prefer war to negotiations.

Ah. I get you now, Detective Burn. Thanks for the clarification.

However, I completely and utterly disagree, of course. I feel that idea may be a little short-sighted. All we have is the here and now so we better do what we can with it. :)

DaWacko it's interesting that you mentioned that the US wanted to use this as a reason to test weapons.. I guess we will find out soon if they decide to use nuclear weapons (again). It also reminded me of somethign else I had read in Michael Moores 9/11 Official Reader. He had stated that the Carlyle Group would have benefitted greatly from any war that would have started (because of weapon sales and the likes). And Bush and his father are affiliated with the Carlyle Group and would have profitted as well. It seemed that the only people defending the war and actually pushing to make it happen were the ones that would have benefitted from it financially.
And you're darn right about the Middle East/USA topic too. The US doesn't belong here, I've said this before and I will repeat it as many times as it takes to stick. THE USA HAS ITS OWN PROBLEMS TO DEAL WITH. Once it has brought down its crime rate THEN it can worry about the rest of the world. For now, its got enough to deal with, and to tell you the truth, the Middle East is suffering enough without democracy, either way, we wouldnt democratically elect our governments and presidents anyway, it would be a US pupetteered election, as in the case with the Palestinians. For close to 50 damn years they were subject to the violence and inhumanity of the israelis, and then when "democracy" was settled into their government and the people went to "freely" elect their governments, it was immediately kicked by Bush. So as much as they try to bring democracy to the Middle East, it'll always somehow resemble that of the USA - not quite the "truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth".
Colin Powel, Rice, Cheney, whoeevr you name in the Bush administration cannot possibly (this is only my theory, dont think i have sources to back it up ) be taking orders from someone as stupid as Bush. Think with me for a second, BUsh isn't all that intelligent. Cmon, whether you like him or not, you cannot deny that the man is a little on the idiot side, right? So he understands money (probably with alot of help from daddy Bush), but when it comes to the choices he makes, I would always suspect that those choices are his father's.

*reminder: put clarke info referring to taliban/iraq + bush sr. cia notes.

It's strange we expect so much from him, and some may argue that it was a tough moment when he learned the nation was under attack, he may have wanted to sit there and catch his breath before rushing and making a speech... blah. Truth is, he's not fit to rule a country like the USA.
I truly believe Nader would have changed the world.

Desert! You finally joined us again.. thank you for dropping by :) ! Trust me, I know it will be impossible to point out everything, but we'll do as much as we can anyway.

PrettyEyes one question: has Bush really protected America? Honestly...

CSIanalysse For one, never did I say that all politicians are bad - I was just defending Nader before, and I do NOT feel that all politicians are evil; I'm speaking abotu the ones that are. And Wikipedia is not a trusted source, I told you all in my first post that it's only a place for me to copy from (mainly because it had basically summarized it as simply as possible. that's the reason I used that in my opening post - NOT becuase this is the most trusted source, it sure as heck isnt). And to you it may be "oh well" either way, but if it were the same to me I wouldnt bother opening this thread to begin with. Interesting that you mentioned the whole Global Warming issue... In January I received an emailed article from the NY Times about a NASA scientist that had been trying to warn people about global warming after discovering new information, and the Bush administration ordered him to keep silent and not share ANY information with the public unless it was approved by the Administration first... see they're censoring everything. If there's something you ought to know and they will not let you know about it, its time to find out why it is such a classified subject to begin with.

Sure, but now is a competition of mass-killing weapons. Therefore it´s a question of seconds until the first war runs outta control...

That is why I say we can´t rely on our children.

I'm not saying we need to rely on our children. I think they need to be enlightened now so that they can hopefully carry on the torch when it's passed to them.

As long as I've been on the planet, the world has been on the brink of destruction... it started, I'm sure, when the first man made a stick and bonked the dude next to him on the head and stole his woman. We've progressed nicely through some huge nastiness, from Ghengis Khan and the Roman Empire, right on through the crusades, the plagues, the world wars, the cold war, Viet Nam, and so on... If we've learned nothing else, man really has it in for his fellow man for one reason or another. We're as bad off as we ever were and will probably always be. We need to do what we can to make a difference and looking for the "quick fix" has never done anybody any good.

I stand by my assertion. Teach the kids to question everything. Everything.

I agree there Baba. This is a weird person to refer to  but Billie Joe of Greenday wrote a line in one of his songs that I live by:

question everything or shut up and be a victim of authority.

That should apply to people of all ages, children should not be fed ignorance from a young age.

No, teach children inspite. But, don´t wait for them to change the world. Change the world N-O-W!

There´ve always been struggles. Truly. However I´m very sure a second 9/11 will come - if in USA or elswhere.
And I betcha Bush´s revenge being nuclear...

The next "9/11" is going to be a WHOLE LOT uglier than the last one. And nuclear weapon usage is a huge possibility. If people had been able to see him for who he is prior to 9/11, maybe something could have been done to prevent it.

Editted to say : See BUSH for who he is.

^^^ See who for who he is?

Sorry, Detective. You had me fooled with your god English previously- I didn't realize it's not your main language!

"Get cracking" means to take action right away, or to "get down to business" quickly.
