I've always thought they may carry over Danny's injury story (not that I think it's fair) because of the type of injury. If his hand is limited in mobility, it could seriously hinder his ability to do his job, kind of like Ryan's eye injury on Miami.

Don't forget though - Danny is right handed and his left hand was injured.

^^Even so, he still uses his left hand and it could hinder him but it's tv. Either his hand will cause problems for a short time or you'll barely know it happened. Since it's Danny, the resident drama queen, I doubt it will go ignored.

I wouldn't be surprised (disappointed, but not surprised) if what happened to Danny was dropped in the same way the bombing was with Flack, but I do think there's a difference. Flack was in an explosion--he was injured, but he was out cold and then in a coma for most of it. As much as I'm sure his recovery wasn't all smooth sailing, Flack's not someone I'd expect to be all angsty and issue-ridden after the bombing.

I never expected Flack to be all angst-ridden, but it would have been nice to see some sort of minor reactions tossed in the early part of the season here and there--some reaction of pain or slowing down while chasing a suspect, a startled reaction to really loud bangs--something to indicate that there were some after affects to the bombing. Instead we got a slight mention of physical therapy and a lame joke about getting nurses' phone numbers.

I sure hope tptb do better than that for Danny and Adam!

^^It wasn't nurses phone numbers he got. It was phone numbers of the female CSIs he was talking to when Stella walked up to him. Stella asked him something about talking about his injuries and he said he got phone numbers. That's when Stella said, "Everybody loves a hero." to Flack.

I would have liked to seen him react to the explosion in the finale considering he was beneath it when it happened. If he can react when a body crashes into a police cruiser, then he should have reacted when the lab exploded. They missed plenty of opportunities to focus on relevant things in the finale but instead chose to focus on the lame Danny/Lindsay booty call. Until I see more (which I hope not) I will not see it as anything more than that. I saw no signs of dating or anything else besides sex but that's just me.

Not many spoilers from the Carmine interview--I don't think they've gotten scripts yet. But, he did say this:

CSI Files: Have you been given any hints about what might be next for Danny and Lindsay in the next season?

Giovinazzo:I did hear a little bit about there's going to maybe be some wayward Danny [behavior] this season.

CSI Files: Is there going to be another woman, or might there be a love triangle in the works?

Giovinazzo: I don't know if we've got to go so far as love--he does the things young men do.

CSI Files: Oh no! Is he going to cheat on Lindsay?

Giovinazzo: Well, you never know. I think that's a possibility, that maybe she wasn't all Danny thought she'd be. Maybe he's already looking elsewhere.

There is a God!!! Saints be praised, the writers have listened to us at last..... :D

^ Who is 'us'? ;) I think there's a lot of people who don't like this cheating idea at all...

But to me it sounds like the first part about Danny's 'wayward behaviour' is something Carmine actually heard and the 'cheating' part is his speculation about what might happen.

She stood him up without an explanation, she left for Montana only leaving him a card, she couldn't tell him her secret and he put up with all of that...and now that they're together she suddenly 'isn't all he thought she'd be'...Doesn't make sense to me...

---

I was quite happy with this part of the interview:

CSI Files: Speaking of Danny's brother, Louie, everybody wants to know what happened to him!
Giovinazzo: Trust me, they really want to get into these things

CSI Files: Do we at least know for sure that Louie is alive?
Giovinazzo: Louie's definitely alive. I just think we need to figure out how he plays into the story in an episode, not just an aside.

So Louie is alive! Now they just need to come up with a good story to tell the rest of the brothers' story.
